Case Study of Elementary Mathematics Lessons by a Professional Learning Community among Teachers (전문적 학습공동체의 초등 수학 수업에 관한 사례연구)

  • This study analyzed the processes of lesson plan, implementation, and reflection by a professional learning community with five teachers who were teaching second grade students in the same elementary school. The results of the study showed that the learning community helped the teachers prepare for a lesson effectively, enhance their teaching practices, and reflect on their teaching methods. However, the teachers had difficulties in re-designing and implementing the collaborative lesson plan in their classrooms and had a tendency to talk about their feelings about lessons rather than meaningful comments for subsequent lessons. The successes and difficulties revealed through this study are expected to provide us with directions of learning communities for improving teachers' professional development.

  • 팀 프로젝트 수업에서 학습자들 간의 소통은 프로젝트 성패에 중요한 요인이면서 동시에 가장 큰 갈등 요소이기도 하다. 특히 비대면 수업이 장기화되면서 비대면으로 운영되는 팀 프로젝트의 경우 팀원들끼리 소통할 수 있는 기회나 방법이 더 제한적이다. 본 연구에서는 팀원들 간의 소통의 원활성을 지원하는 요소에 대해 분석하고자 2년간 실시한 비대면 팀 프로젝트 수업에 참여한 학생들을 대상으로 소통을 지원하는 여러 가지 방법들을 적용해보고 참여자들을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 결과를 비교 분석해보았다.

A Comparison Study of Curricular of Teacher Education for Elementary Teachers in South Korea and the United States: Focusing on Opportunities to Learn Teaching Mathematics (한미 초등 교사를 위한 교육과정 비교: 수학 교수의 학습 기회를 중심으로)

  • Teacher preparation programs are responsible for preparing teachers to be able to perform their work with professional knowledge and skills. What opportunities to learn such knowledge and skills the programs intentionally develop for prospective teachers can be discerned by looking at the curriculum of teacher education. The purpose of this study is to find implications for the curriculum in elementary teacher education in South Korea, especially as that pertains to opportunities to learn teaching mathematics. This paper compares the curricula of 21 teacher preparation programs for elementary teachers in South Korea and in the United States. It finds that the programs in both countries emphasize teacher preparation to teach subject matter and to help elementary students improve their academic knowledge. The overall structures of the curriculums outlined in the programs of both countries are relatively comparable. In terms of the opportunities to learn teaching mathematics, however, they are quite different in what authentic contents they offer. This paper discusses the need for more emphasis on mathematical knowledge for teaching.

  • University learning for innovation places great importance on maximizing the creation of new opportunities. In other words, universities are carrying out a new meaning that entrepreneurship education should enable students to discover potential opportunities and play an important role in the development of new society and industry. However, current entrepreneurship education programs are being developed and are being developed from diverse perspectives on rapidly changing environments. However, there is a growing awareness of the necessity of developing more professional and systematic entrepreneurship education programs, and it is argued that the emphasis on necessity is not enough have. This study empirically analyzed the cognitive abilities that influence innovative behavior to create and realize innovative ideas and the usefulness of team-based learning that influences these factors. The results of empirical research showed that self-directed learning ability and problem solving ability had a positive effect on innovation behavior and problem solving ability had a positive effect on innovation behavior as a part of self-directed learning ability. Team-based learning in entrepreneurship education has been shown to be beneficial as a moderating effect on the relationship between problem-solving ability and self-directed learning ability and innovation behavior. In the case of four factors of team-based learning, Respectively. This study suggests the effectiveness and application of team-based learning method in entrepreneurship education.

인터넷 환경에서 표본조사 교육시스템 구현

  • 본 연구에서 구현하 SLWES(Sampling Learning Web Expert System)은 인터넷 환경에서 표본조사의 학습과 실제 표본조사 자료로부터 모수를 추정할 수 있도록 웹 프로그래밍 기술과 HTML을 결합하여 학습시스템과 통계계산 시스템, 그리고 전문가시스템으로 구성된 표본조사 학습전문가 시스템이다. SLWES는 표본조사에 대하여 전문 지식이 없거나 통계패키지 사용에 익숙하지 않은 비전문가들에게 표본추출법, 무수측정 표본크기 결정 등 표본조사에 대한 이론 학습과 실습의 기회를 인터넷 환경에서 직접 제공함으로써 사용자의 지식에 따라 표본조사론에 대해 체계적이고 효과적으로 학습할 수 있는 시스템이다. 또한 SLWES는 실제 표본조사의 표본추출에 적용될 수 있고 수집된 자료로부터 모수를 추정할수 있으므로 표본조사에 활용될 수 있다.

Multicultural Competency of University Students Majoring in Food and Nutrition (식품영양학 전공 대학생들의 다양한 식문화에 대한 지식 및 다문화 태도와 기술)

  • The purposes of the study were to assess the multicultural competencies and to identify potential barriers toward improving multicultural competencies of food and nutrition majors at the university level. A total of 500 students were surveyed and 457 responses were analyzed for the study. The multicultural competencies, based on a literature review, included food culture knowledge, multicultural attitude, and multicultural skills. Approximately half of the respondents took a food culture class as a college course. The food and nutrition majors showed positive multicultural attitudes; however, food culture knowledge scores for traditional Korean food culture and 11 other food cultures remained low (average score: 63.7 out of 100 points). In addition, familiarity with cultural foods and knowledge of food-related cultures were not necessarily related. As a result of factor analysis, multicultural skills, required for dietitians, were classified into three factors: professional skills, food preparation skills, and communication skills. Overall, students rated their professional skills the highest and communication skills the lowest. Multicultural attitudes and skills increased with school years, and students who took a food culture class showed significantly higher multicultural attitudes and knowledge scores compared to their counterparts. Economical issues, lack of time, and lack of opportunities for learning multicultural competencies in majors and experiencing different cultures were highly rated potential barriers for improving multicultural competencies. Our research indicates that food and nutrition educators should review their curriculums to incorporate content that encourages food and nutrition majors to learn about other food cultures and improve their multicultural competency. These skills will be critical for food and nutrition professionals in the multicultural age.

  • This paper describes an experiment of concrete and specific group work learning system based on the traditional Jigsaw group work learning model. Jigsaw model has two groups of students such as random group and expert group so that a course can make progress on explaining and lecturing all members of class after each student can be a member of expert group of course topic. We design and implement Web-based training system to support collaboration and Interaction among students of a course based on Jigsaw model The Web- based learning system makes each group going up to the expert level of a course subject by supporting various study menu and provides equal opportunity of improving social abilities such as leadership, communication skill, trust, and trouble-settling by taking part in collaboration activities.

산업체 위탁교육의 실태분석과 활성화 방안

  • 본 대학 건축설비과는 1995년 12월 대한설비공사협회 서울특별시회와 위탁교육에 관한 계약을 맺고 1996학년도에 협회 산하업체 직원 40명에 대한 별도학급을 편성하여 위탁교육을 실시하고 있으며, 1997학년도에도 39명에 대한 별도학급을 편성하여 위탁교육을 실시하였다. 위탁교육제도는 산업체 종사자들에 대해 전문지식의 습득기회를 확대하여 기술변화에 대응할 수 있는 능력을 함양시키고 기업의 경쟁력을 강화시키는데 목적을 두고 있다. 본 연구는 2년째로 접어든 건축설비과 위탁교육과정을 합리적으로 운영하고 교육생들의 학습의욕을 능동적으로 고취시켜 산업계의 기술변화에 적절히 부응할 수 있는 교육방안을 마련하기 위하여 1,2학년 위탁교육생들의 설문으로 교육생 성향을 분석하고 교육지도 방안, 산업체 지도방안 그리고 홍보 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

Development of a Digital Color Design Education Curriculum (디지털 색채 디자인 교육과정 개발)

  • As a result of the rapid development in the digital content industry, designers have to visualize colors across a range of digital media in a relevant and sophisticated manner. The purpose of this study is to develop a new digital color design education curriculum for enhancing learners' capability of digital color management. This study presents an original university-level color design curriculum for digital color learning that includes traditional color learning. In order to develop interactive pedagogy that provides diverse color experiences to students, this study suggestes a blended learning method that combines face-to-face instruction and web-based instruction. Through two case studies at universities, this paper illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed digital color design curriculum.

Introduction of Explanation Meeting in Cadaveric Dissection Using Communication Skill : Correlation between Self-Evaluation Factor and Academic Achievement of Medical Students (의사소통기술을 활용한 해부설명회 적용 후 의학전문대학원생의 자기평가요인과 학업성취도 상관관계 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 해부학 실습 교육과정에 해부설명회를 도입에 따른 의학전문대학원생들의 자기평가요인(만족도, 전공 연계성, 운영 적절성, 의사소통)과 학업성취도와의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 2008-2009학년도 1학기 해부학 실습 교육을 받은 의학전문대학원생들(n=102)이 일부 수업시간을 활용하여 해부설명회에 참가하였고, 보건 의료 계통의 학부생들에게 사체를 활용하여 인체 구조에 대한 설명과 토론을 마친 후 설문지와 소감문을 작성하게 하였다. 이를 바탕으로 자기 평가 요인들을 분석하였고, 2008-2009 학년도 해부학 성적과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 설문 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 자기 평가 요인을 분석한 결과, 성별, 연령, 과거 경험 유무 등의 일반적 특성과 상관없이 만족도, 전공 연계성, 운영 적절성, 언어적 및 비언어적 커뮤니케이션 모두에서 높은 수치를 나타내었다. 자기 평가 요인 중 학업성취도와 높은 상관관계를 갖는 요인은 언어적 커뮤니케이션이었다(p<0.05). 또한 언어적 커뮤니케이션은 비언어적 커뮤니케이션과도 높은 상관관계를 가졌다(r=0.580, p<0.01). 결론적으로 커뮤니케이션 기법을 활용한 해부설명회의 도입은 의전원 학생들에게 심화 학습의 기회를 제공하였고 학습동기를 유발시키며, 적극적인 학습태도를 갖게 하였다. 아울러 커뮤니케이션에 대한 중요성을 깨닫게 되었고, 타 전공자와의 상호교류를 통한 학문적 이해의 폭이 확대되었음을 확인하였다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 진행과정에 나타난 문제점을 보완하고 개선한다면 해부학 실습의 개선 방안으로서 해부설명회의 활용가치가 충분하다고 판단되었다.
