Power System Stabilizer Using Taylor Model (Taylor 모델을 사용한 전력계통의 안정화)

  • The Taylor model concept is introduced to design a controller with input and output data only. The parameters in Taylor model can be estimated using the input and output data and a controller can be designed based on Taylor model. The accuracy of Taylor model approximation can be improved by increasing the observation window and the order of Taylor model. The LQR method is applied to Taylor model to design power system stabilizers (PSS), and compared with the conventional PSS.

  • A new robust load-frequency control methodology is proposed for nonlinear power systems with valve position limits of the governor in the presence of parametric uncertaines. The TSK fuzzy model is adopted and formulated for fuzzy modeling of the nonlinear power system. A sufficient condition of the robust stabilitry is presented in the sense of lyapunov for the TSK model with parametric uncertainties. The intekkigent digital redesign technique for the uncertain power systems is also studied. The effectiveness of the robust digital fuzzy controller disign mothod is demonstrated through a numerical simulation.

  • 발전원별 경쟁(신규 발전소 건설이 시장 가격에 의해 결정)을 도입한 미국의 캘리포니아주에서는 최근 심각한 전력 공급문제가 발생하였다. 미국과 같은 발전원별 경쟁을 도입한 우리나라의 경우에도 전력시장에서의 시장가격을 예측하고 이에 따른 신규 발전소 건설을 예측하여 전력 공급의 안전성을 검토할 필요가 있으며 또한 원자력이나 유연탄의 공급이 이러한 전력 공급의 안정성에 어떻게 기여할 수 있는가를 검토하는 것은 의의 있는 일이다.(중략)

  • Starting with the "Smart Grid National Road Map" in 2010, the Smart Grid 2030 was introduced through the basic plan and implementation plan of the intelligent power grid with the goal of building the world's first national smart grid. In this paper, we intend to build a power domain ontology based on the power business platform based on the upper and lower conceptual models of the "Smart Grid Interoperability Standard Framework and Roadmap", the standard of implementation plan. Ontology is suitable for expressing and utilizing the smart grid conceptual model because it considers hierarchical structure as knowledge defines the properties of entities and relationships between entities, but there is no research related to them. Therefore, in this paper, the upper ontology was defined as a major category for smart grid-related fields, and the lower ontology was defined as detailed systems and functions for the upper ontology to construct the ontology. In addition, scenarios in various situations that could occur in the power system were constructed and significant inference results were derived through inference engines and queries.

  • 전력계통 에너지관리시스템(EMS)을 위한 공통 정보모델(CIM:Common Information Model)은 1990년대 후반에 EPRI의 CCAPI (Control Center Application Program Interface) 연구 프로젝트에서 시작하여, 현재는 IEC의 국제표준인 IEC 61970시리즈로 등록되어 있다. 특히, CIM은 IEC61970의 Part 301, 302에 정의되어 있는 공통데이터 모델을 지칭하며, IEC61970의 Part 401${\sim}$407에 정의되어 있는 CIS (Component Interface Specification)와 더불어 EMS의 API(Application Program Interface)를 정의하는 핵심 요소이다. CIM (Common Information Model)은 전격회사의 전력 시스템 운영을 포함하여 전력회사 전반에 사용되는 주요한 객체(object)들을 나타내는 추상적 모델(abstract model)이다. 또한, CIM은 전력계통 자원을 객체 클래스들(object classes)과 속성들(attributes)로 표현하는 표준 방법을 제공함으로써, 발전분야나 배전분야와 같이 전력 계통의 운용 영역이 다른 계통들과 EMS 시스템 연계, 독립적으로 개발된 전체 EMS 시스템간의 연계, 서로 다른 판매자에 의해서 독립적으로 개발된 EMS 응용 프로그램간의 통합을 용이하게 한다. 본 논문에서는 전력계통 공통 데이터 모델인 IEC 61970을 소개하고, 이에 기반을 둔 한국형 EMS 데이터베스 구축에 관해 설명한다.

A Study of Short-Term Load Forecasting System Using Data Mining (데이터 마이닝을 이용한 단기 부하 예측 시스템 연구)

  • This paper presents a new design methods of the short-term load forecasting system (STLFS) using the data mining. The structure of the proposed STLFS is divided into two parts: the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model-based classifier and predictor The proposed classifier is composed of the Gaussian fuzzy sets in the premise part and the linearized Bayesian classifier in the consequent part. The related parameters of the classifier are easily obtained from the statistic information of the training set. The proposed predictor takes form of the convex combination of the linear time series predictors for each inputs. The problem of estimating the consequent parameters is formulated by the convex optimization problem, which is to minimize the norm distance between the real load and the output of the linear time series estimator. The problem of estimating the premise parameters is to find the parameter value minimizing the error between the real load and the overall output. Finally, to show the feasibility of the proposed method, this paper provides the short-term load forecasting example.

Power consumption estimation of active RFID system using simulation (시뮬레이션을 이용한 능동형 RFID 시스템의 소비 전력 예측)

  • For the 2.4 GHz active RFID to be successful in the market, one of the requirements is the increased battery life. However, currently we do not have any accurate power consumption estimation method. In this study we develop a simulation model, which can be used to estimate power consumption of tag accurately. Six different simulation models are proposed depending on collision algorithm and query command method. To improve estimation accuracy, we classify tag operating modes as the wake-up receive, UHF receive, sleep timer, tag response, and sleep modes. Power consumption and operating time are identified according to the tag operating mode. Query command for simplifying collection and ack command procedure and newly developed collision control algorithm are used in the simulation. Other performance measures such as throughput, recognition time for multi-tags, tag recognition rate including power consumption are compared with those from the current standard ISO/IEC 18000-7.

  • This paper is to analyze the efficiency of power consumption in logistic systems that are based on self-driving roller conveyors by the simulation technology. The improvement of the efficiency brings advantages for reducing greenhouse gas emission and logistics costs. A self-driving roller conveyor is operated only when products are loaded on itself. Thus, the self-driving roller conveyor systems consume less electric power than continuous-driving roller conveyor systems. In this paper, we design a DEVS (Discrete-Event based System) based simulation model and construct self-driving roller and continuous-driving roller conveyor models. For the verification and validation of the designed simulation system and conveyor models, we model a corresponding logistic model for the experimental environment and compare between the model and a real system. The main objective of this paper is to describe the power consumption advantage of self-driving roller conveyor based logistic systems using a simulation method.

  • 전력연구원에서는 ATM WAN 통합망 기반 구축을 통하여 통신회선 임대비용의 절감과 안정적이고 고속의 인터넷 서비스를 수용함으로써 통신망의 경쟁력을 확보하는 것을 목표로 ATM 기반 전력통신망을 설계하였다. 이를 위하여 기존의 패킷 통신망 트래픽 통계 분석결과와 연간 트래픽 증가량 예측치를 기반으로 향후 서비스 수용계획을 고려한 토폴로지와 링크용량을 설계하였으며, 이를 바탕으로 전력통신망에서의 ATM 스위치 기반 네트워크 모델을 확립하였다. 본 논문에서는 ATM 기반 전력통신망의 설계결과를 요약한다.
