  • 미래의 전기에너지는 자연이나 신재생에너지에 의존해야 할 것이다. 이미 가정용에서 산업용에 이르기까지 이들 에너지로부터 얻은 전기에너지가 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 선박 에너지 절감을 위하여 주거용 단상전원 계통에 연계될 수 있는 단상전력변환기를 제작하고 계통 상태를 모니터링 하였다.

  • In this paper, we developed remote dimming control system of electronic ballast for 400W metal halide lamp. This ballast could limit ignition current and soft start-up technique by the inverter with LCsCp resonance tank. The dimming circuit can dim from 400W to 200W by varying of the inverter switching frequency. The PLM consists of coupling circuit, BPF(Band-Pass Filter), FSK(Frequency Shift Keying) Modem and ${\mu}$-controller(Micro Controller). By coupling electronic ballast with PLM, the system that able to dimming the lamp through PLM is demonstrated by experimental results.

  • 본 고에서는 전력선통신 기술동향을 분석하고 국내 기술기준에서 어떻게 규제를 받는지 분석하였다. 전력선통신은 초기에 전기 이용기기의 원격 제어용으로 비교적 적은 데이터를 송수신하는데 이용되었다. 그러나 광대역 통신 요구에 따라서 전력선을 이용한 고속 전력선모뎀 기술이 개발되어 인터넷 등과 같은 고속 데이터 통신을 할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 전력선통신은 기존 전선로를 사용하므로 높은 주파수의 신호를 전송하면 전파 방사에 의해서 다른 무선설비에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 현재 30MHz 이하의 대역을 사용하고 있으나 이 대역은 해상, 항공 등 인명 안전을 위한 중요 통신에서 이용하고 있다. 그러므로 전력선모뎀이 기존 무선설비에 간섭을 주지 않으면서 주파수 대역을 공유하기 위해서는 간섭을 최소화할 수 있는 spread spectrum이나 OFDM과 같은 기술을 활용해서 설계되어야 한다. 이미 이러한 기술들을 활용한 전력선 모뎀이 상용화되어 있으며 옥내 뿐 만 아니라 옥외까지 용도를 확장하기 위해서 간섭 완화기술 및 방법 등이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 고에서는 전력선통신의 고속화를 위한 기술 동향 및 간섭 완화 방법 기술을 분석하고, 구현된 시스템이 다른 무선설비와 간섭 없이 사용될 수 있도록 규정하고 있는 관련 기술기준을 분석하였다.

  • A remote monitoring system was developed to improve inconveniences of manual work such as monitoring street lights by using current sensors, microprocessor and RF communication system. In order to control the street lights on the roads effectively and monitor them in real time, we can attach current sensor to the street lights which monitors Lamp, the broken part and state of the Balast, and the amount of an electric leak precisely we developed a system which makes it possible to transmit the data on monitoring results in breakdown of street lights and Balasts to the central monitoring computer without setting up extra data transmission line. The system we devised can transmit data through Power Line Modem and RF communication using relay method to the central controlling computer without any loss of data.

  • In this paper we describe a driving, control and monitor of ship's emergency lighting system using power line modem.(PLM). Through this paper, experiment confirms that ON-OFF control of multiple SELP, real time transmission and monitor of parameters as to voltage, current, and power values are performed appropriately by PLM communication.

Site Monitoring of Crews and Passengers on Board by the BLE and PLM Combination (BLE와 PLM 조합의 승선자 위치 모니터링)

  • When unforeseen accidents occur in a ship, it is important to save passengers safely and remove them from the accident area quickly. To solve such a situation, site information of passengers on board always must be identified. This paper implemented a site monitoring of crews and passengers based on the BLE and PLM combination, to prepare for unexpected accidents of the ships. This system was composed of BLE tag for crews, passengers and each room, PLM networks, data server, and monitoring PC. In this system, site information derived from the tag attached to the bodies and cabins of crews and passengers are transmitted through a power line network, and monitored on the screen of a monitoring PC. The proposed system guides them into the only authorized area considering the ship security and passengers' safety, and even has a special alarm call to warn them after entering an unauthorized area. This system enables the BLE-embedded tag battery to use for a long time because the BLE consumes low electric power, and can gain an economic advantage.

  • In spite of a recent trend of container ships becoming larger in size, the current circumstance is that managing reefer containers marine transportation is being mostly dependent upon manpower. Particularly, in the case of bad weather or nighttime, reefer containers are not being monitored due to lack of safety device. For the purpose of reducing such risk, IMO is recommending a system using PLC but the system is not being used. In addition, they are still relying on manpower for control and reliability of freight in transit is decreasing due to lack of information during marine transportation for every subject related to freight as well as shipper. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to propose a real-time reefer container management system to effectively control all reefer containers widely being used across the world.
