There have been increasing incidents of natural and social disasters that claimed many lives and caused financial calamities worldwide, which call for an attention to mental health issues affecting disaster victims. This study reviewed the findings of the empirical research on the effects of disaster on the victims, the prevalence and determinants of the mental health problems. The disaster tends to disproportionately affect the socio-economically disadvantaged population and their mental health problems and recovery seemed to be heavily influenced by post-disaster experiences such as restoration of physical environment, prospect of economic recovery and resumption of normalcy in their lives, opportunities for participation in decision-making that affect their lives. Such findings suggest that the disaster mental health should shift from its traditional approach that focuses on short-term clinical interventions to alleviate acute mental distress for the victims to a public health approach that involve medical, social and economic interventions as well as community empowerment to prevent chronicity of the mental health problems and to improve the general quality of life of the individuals and the community adversely affected by the disaster. Implications for the social work research, policy making, education and practice were discussed.

중국은 지난 10년간 아시아에서의 영향력 확대를 위한 팽창정책의 일환으로 인도양 주변 국가들과의 관계발전을 위해 국가 차원의 노력을 기울여왔다. '진주목걸이 전략(String of Pearls Strategy')으로 묘사되는 중국의 인도양 정책의 개괄적 성격에 관한 연구는 여러 학자들에 의해서 시도되어 왔으나, 인도양 주변 개별국과들과의 협력과 개입의 정도(The variation in the extent of China's Engagement and Collaboration with States along Its Indian Ocean sea lines of communication)에 영향을 미치는 구조적 요인에 대한 연구는 부재해 왔다. 이 논문에서는 인도양 주변 국가들에 대한 개입 및 관계발전을 위한 중국의 인도양정책을 국제정치학의 이론 중 '방어적 신현실주의(Defensive Neorealism)'의 이론적 틀에 근거한 '연성적 힘의 균형(Soft Balancing)'의 관점에서 고찰해 보고, 중국의 인도양 정책은 이 지역에서 중국의 팽창에 대한 미국의 견제 및 반발(Backlash)을 억제하고 중국의 에너지 안보를 보장하기 위한 전략적 정책의 결과임을 조명해 본다. 더불어 중국의 인도양 진출에 따른 미국의 정책대안을 예측해 본다. 본 연구의 목적을 위해 이론적 틀에 기반한 가설을 설정하고 인도양 주변의 11개 국가에 대한 교차 사례연구(Cross-sectional Case Analysis)를 통해 타당성을 검증한다.

This study examines the development direction of Ulsan automobile cluster and suggests strategic interventions, based on the possibility of system transformation in the open economic system. The spatial characteristics of global, national and local production and R&D networks were analyzed to investigate the conditions of Ulsan automobile cluster. And the agglomeration process of automobile industry and the capabilities accumulated in Ulsan were analyzed and alternative developmental path and policy suggestions were proposed.

Rise of China has correspondingly seen increased Chinese involvement at global stage and regional levels in different parts of the world. This has attracted claims of strategic competition and rivalry between China and U.S., as China is said to be working towards replacing hitherto U.S. influence. Consequently there have been calls for U.S. to counter increased Chinese involvement to safeguard U.S. influences and interests. This study aims to contribute to this debate by examining the extent to which increased Chinese involvement in Africa has, if any, supplanted U.S. strategic interests in the continent. The study contends that, Chinese involvement in Africa has entailed China creating own niche that does not necessary threaten U.S. interests in the continent as widely portrayed and imagined. This is premised on the fact that, U.S. has historically had relatively minimal strategic interests in Africa as compared to other more strategic parts of the world that China could significantly threaten. Seen in this way, increased Chinese penetration in Africa has not had immediate threats to U.S. core strategic interests, thus explaining U.S. measured response to counter Chinese presence in Africa.

1987년 10월 미국의 주가폭락과 1990년대 일본주식시장의 지속적 침체 이후로 미국과 일본 등의 주식시장에서는 주식시장의 변동성 증대 및 침체의 원인으로서 주가지수선물이 주목받기 시작하였다. 1987년 주가대폭락을 연구한 브레디보고서에는 주가지수선물과 이를 이용한 포트폴리오보험전략이 주가폭락의 한 요인으로 지목되고 있으며, 일본의 경우 장기적인 주식시장 침체가 주가지수선물에 기인한다는 생각이 일반화되어 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라에서 1996년 5월 3일부터 시작된 주가지수선물거래 도입이 주식시장에 미치는 개입효과를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 목적을 위하여 Box와 Tiao(1975)에 의해 제시된 개입분석모형(intervention analysis model)을 이용하여 분석한 결과 개입의 효과가 전체 모형 설정에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 우리나라의 경우 주가지수선물거래 도입이 주식시장에 미치는 개입효과는 미미하다고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to develop an effective intervention strategy for marriage migrant woman in family therapy. For this purpose, we collected counseling cases of professional counselors who successfully completed counseling and attempted the qualitative analysis of treatment intervention strategies and effects. The results of the study were obtained by dividing the meaning units in the immigrant woman's statements made during the counseling process composed of a total of 6 sessions. The counselors were analyzed to have tried the following intervention strategies. They attempted the following six strategies: Helping emotional differentiation by searching for unresolved emotional problems, dealing with undifferentiation due to family projection process and love triangle, dealing with multi-generational transfer process of the original family relationship patterns and coping mechanism, shedding lihgt on ineffectiveness of inconsistent communication due to emotional oppression applying a communication model of MRI, switching client's awareness through reorganization, suggesting a way of communication that leads to real self. Such counselors' attempts resulted in positive changes and treatment effects were found to include first, cognitive insights and motivation for change, second, improved communication skills and third, anxiety reduction and self-differentiation. Due to their husbands' refusal to participate in counseling, marriage migrant women often get involved in counseling alone, so they tend to worry that the effectiveness of family therapy may be low but it was found that the proper intervention of the counselor could improve the ability of the wife to resolve conflicts, which would be a great help in solving problems such as family violence and this study is meaningful in that it provided the appropriate therapeutic intervention strategies needed.

세계 경제의 환경 변화로 제조업 부문은 경쟁 압력과 함께 구조조정 압력에 직면하고 있다. 특히, 석유화학 산업은 대표적인 장치산업이란 특징으로 인해 중국과 중동의 대규모 신규 설비투자가 한국 석유화학 산업에 커다란 구조조정 압력으로 작용하고 있다. 정부가 정책대안의 1순위로 꼽는 인수합병 계획으로 인해 대규모 고용조정과 함께 비정규직 증가가 초래될 가능성이 크다. 석유화학산업의 고용형태는 '핵심-주변'으로 이원화되어 있으며 '구조조정 = 비정규직 증가'로 나타나고 있기 때문이다. 프랑스의 구조조정 대응 사례를 통해 정부의 능동적 개입과 노조의 적극적 대안 추구 노력이 구조조정에 따른 고용 문제의 해결책을 마련해 낼 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 정부는 석유화학산업의 당면 과제인 산업 내 양극화를 극복하고 산업연관체계를 재구축하기 위한 능동적 역할을 담당해야 한다. 또한 지역차원의 고용안정시스템의 구축을 위해 지방정부의 능동적 역할이 요구된다. 특히, 도급구조로 이원화된 노동력 구조를 극복하기 위해서 건설플랜트노동자를 비롯해 하청구조 하의 다양한 비정규직의 이해를 반영하는 교섭틀 구축이 중요하다. 노동조합은 전체 노동자를 포괄하는 위치에서만 산업정책에 대한 개입력을 높여나갈 수 있다. 사회연대적, 사회운동적 노동조합주의라는 새로운 정체성 하에서만 적극적인 산업재편 개입전략의 토대를 형성할 수 있다.

로봇의 활동 영역이 산업 현장에서 인간의 일상 생활 공간으로 확장됨에 따라서, 로봇은 사용자가 사용하는 성능 좋은 도구 개념에서 벗어나 일상 생활을 공유하며 살아가는 파트너로 생각되기 시작했다. 이에 따라서 미리 정해진 명령과 조작 방법을 통한 단순한 상호작용만이 일어나던 과거와 달리, 사용자는 마치 사람을 대하듯 자연스럽게 로봇과 상호작용하기를 기대하게 되었다. 사람들은 본래 context를 활용하여 모호한 표현을 하더라도 상호작용이 가능하기 때문에, 사용자의 발화가 자유롭게 이루어지면 로봇이 처한 상황적 모호성은 가중될 수 밖에 없다. 이러한 문제에 직면하여, 스크립트 기반의 인간-로봇 상호작용을 통한 문제 해결 노력이 그 돌파구가 될 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문은 이러한 노력의 일환으로, 태스크 수행중인 로봇에 자유롭게 사용자가 개입하는 상황을 처리하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 사용자가 개입하는 상황을 어떻게 이해할 것이며, 로봇은 어떤 전략으로 이에 대처해야 하는지 분석한 뒤, 사용자 개입에 대한 구체적인 처리 프로세스를 제시한다. 그리고 제시된 프로세스를 구현해 봄으로써 그 효용성을 검증한다.
