This study carried out shear experiment for concrete deep beam reinforced FRP(Fiber Reinforced Polymers) bar to investigate shear strength of deep beam. The test conducted for 15 specimens, and the variables were shear span-to-depth ratio, reinforcement ratio, effective depth, reinforcement components of shear strength. crack, deflection are investigated based on shear experimental. We compared shear strength using ACI 318-08 STM with proposed equations that considered arching action according to shear span-to-depth ratio. Consequently shear strength of deep beam reinforced FRP bar presented higher shear strength than steel bar. ACI STM's predictions are better accurate than other predicting equations.

In this study, The purpose of this study is to experimentally investigate the shear behavior of reinforced flat plate embedded with GFRP(glass fiber reinforced polymer) plate with openings. The GFRP shear reinforcement is manufactured into a plate shape with several openings to ensure perfect integration with concrete. The test was performed on 7 specimens. the parameters include the type of reinforcement and amount of the shear reinforcement., From the test, we analysed the crack, failure mode, Strain, load-displacement graph. a calculation of the shear strength of reinforced flat plate with GFRP plate based on the ACI 318-11 was compared with the test results. The results of the experiment indicate that GFRP plate is successfully applied as a shear reinforcement in the flat plate under punching shear.
SFRC overcomes brittleness of concrete and has increases strength due to the action of confmement,
crack arrestmg mechan~sm and pull out resistances of steel f~bers ~ n s ~ d e the concrete.
These lead also to the increased strength and ductility under the shear stress. It has been reported
that the secondary remforcement effect of steel fibers IS more pronounced In shear than
flexure. Addition of hooked stee!, fibers into the cementitious materials enhanced shear resistance
and consequently improves structural behavior and shear strength of Reinforced
Hooked-Steel-Fiber Concrete Ream(RHSFCI3) under the shear forces. Experimental observations
were made on the main parameters effecting structural behavior of RHSFCB in this study.
The volume fractions of fibers, shear span to depth ratios, and spaclngs of stlrrups were taken
into account as the mam parameters. Some eyuatlons reported in the literatures, regardmg the
predict~ons of the shear strength of RHSFCB have been evaluated stdtlst~cdlly based on the tot

This paper deals with an enhanced structural capacity of reinforced concrete bridge deck strengthened with carbon fiber rod (CFR) which is subjected to monotonic and cyclic loads. Strengthening variables considered in this test were evenly and unevenly strengthening type. To evaluate strengthening capacity for these two strengthening types, load-carrying capacity and crack and failure pattern from the failure test were analyzed and fatigue response were examined. According to the test results, all the strengthened specimens showed punching shear failure as a result of premature failure of bonding interface between mortar and concrete. In the case of strengthening capacity, it was observed that the strengthened specimens was more effective in strength, stiffness and fatigue endurance limit than the unstrengthened specimen. In addition, the unevenly strengthening method (CR-UE) was more effective than the evenly strengthening method (CR-E).
This study presents test results of RC beams strengthened by carbon fiber sheet(CFS), carbon fiber reinforced plastics(CFRP) or glass fiber reinforced plastics(GFRP) for increasing shear resistance. Nineteen specimens were tested, and the test was performed with different parameters including the type of strengthening materials(CFS, GFRP, CFRP), shear-strengthening methods(wing type, jacket type, strip type), strip-spacing, strengthening direction of FRP. The test results show that shear-damaged RC beams strengthened by FRP(CFS, GFRP, CFRP) have more improved the shear capacity. The mathematical model based on plastic theory was also developed to predict shear strength of shear-damaged RC beams strengthened by FRP. The predictions using the mathematical model. are agreed with the observations from the observed shear strengths for 19 test beams.

The purpose of this study is to investigate experimentally the shear resisting behavior of the reinforced concrete beams strengthened with reinforcement materials. Seven specimens were manufactured and tested under static monotonic loading. The main variables in the test were the method and direction of reinforcement. This research is about the experiment of shear capacity of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with CFRP-rod, in the filling-up method. The test result indicated that the method of CFRP increase significantly the ultimate shear strength of a reinforced concrete beam.

The purpose of this study is to experimentally investigate the shear behavior of flat plate that reinforced by embedded GFRP(glass fiber reinforced polymer) plate with openings. Shape of the GFRP shear reinforcement is a plate with several openings to ensure perfect integration with concrete. The test was performed on 7 specimens to check shear strength of flat plate that reinforced by GFRP plate. The parameters include the spacing of the shear reinforcement and amount of the shear reinforcement. The result of test showed that when amount of shear reinforcement was increased, shear strength improved. The result of test showed that maximum shear strength was confirmed when spacing of shear reinforcement was 0.3d. The calculation of the shear strength of reinforced flat plate with GFRP plate based on the KCI was compared with the test results.
If conventional reinforcements are used for high-strength concrete (HSC) structures, a large amount of the reinforcement must be required to compensate for the brittleness of HSC and make the best use of HSC. This raises some structural problems such as steel congestion and an increase in self-weight. Therefore, alternative reinforcing materials and methods for HSC structures are needed. In this study, four full-scale beam specimens constructed with HSC (100 MPa) were tested to investigate the effect of the different shear reinforcements on the shear behavior. These four specimens were reinforced for shear stirrups with normal and high strength steels, headed bars, and carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) bars, respectively. In addition, steel fibers were added to the HSC in the two of the specimens to observe their beneficial effects. The use of high strength steels resulted in the improvement of the shear capacity since the shear resistance provided by the shear reinforcements and the bond strength were increased. The specimen reinforced with headed bars also showed a superior performance to the conventional steel reinforced specimen due to the considerably high anchorage strength of headed bar. CFRP bars used in this research, however, seemed to be inadequate for shear reinforcement because of the inferior bond capacity. The presence of the steel fibers in concrete led to remarkable improvement in the ductility of the specimens as well as in the overall cracks control capability.

The purpose of this study is to investigate experimentally the behavior of unreinforced masonry RC frames strengthened by CFRP sheet under cyclic lateral loading. Four test specimens were constructed as one-story, one-bay, 1/2 scale unreinforced masonry infilled RC frames and differences in strength and stiffness were evaluated in specimens on which had been applied different retrofitting methods. Test results indicated that the CFRP sheets significantly increased the strength and stiffness of the specimens, and the specimens retrofitted in columns and masonry indicated the most adequate retrofitting methods.
AC] 318-H9 Recommended that when the specified compressive strength of concrete in a column is greater than 1. 4 times that specified for a floor system, top surface of the colurrm concrete shall extend 2ftU;OOrrun) into the slab from the face of colUlml to avoid unexpected brittle failure. The purpose of this investigation is to suggest the basic information for the structural safety, The major variables are com preSSlve strength of concrete, shear confinement ratio, and loading types.
The test results showed that the load capaCIty of speCImen subjected to monotOI1lC loading had more
than that of specimen subjected to one way cyclic loading. The failure modes of specimens under cyclic loading were concentrated at 5-20cm apart region from beam-column joint face and ductility index are increased with increasing of shear confinement ratio.
