차단기의 해석기술

  • 차단기의 개발과정은 크게 모의시험, 설계 및 제작, 성능시험 3가지로 나누어 볼 수 있다.이 중에서 모의 시험은 일반적으로 해석기술에 의해 주로 이루어지며, 차단기에 적용되는 해석기술은 1) 차단부 전계해석 2) 차단부 냉가스 유동해석 3) 차단부 열가스 유동해석(차단성능해석) 4) 차단기 동작특성해석 5) 차단기 응력해석 및 구조해석으로 대별할 수 있다. 상기의 해석기술은 적용하는 해석방법에 따라 다소 차이가 있지만, 1992년부터 당 연구팀이 개발중인 800kV 40kA 4000A 차단부를 개발하는 과정에 적용한 해석수법을 중심으로 살펴보기로 한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트재료 및 구조물(smart materials and structures : SMS)들 중 잠재적 응용가치가 가장 큰 것으로 인식되는 전기유동유체(electro-rhelogical fluid 이하 ER유체)의 이론적 근거 및 역학적 거동과 잠재적 응용성에 관한 연구이다. 이를 적용하기 위하여 공작기계의 브레이크에 적용하여 모델링 및 해석, 제어알고리즘 설계하여 정밀도에 양호한 결과를 얻었다.

  • 우리나라 기술측면에서 전기자동차용 전동기를 생각하면 생산기술과 생산설비 등이 갖추어져 있는 유동전동기가 가장 개발하기 쉬울것으로 생각되고 가격면에서도 가장 유리할 것으로 생각된다. 그러나 Bushless전동기의 연구개발은 타 산업에의 파급효과가 클 것으로 예상되고 성능면에서 차후 크게 발전될 것으로 예상되기 때문에 한시도 소홀히 할 수 없는 분야이며 그 외에 switched reluctance motor, PM disk type synchronous motor등의 연구도 함께하여야 할 것이다.

Numerical Flow Simulation of a UH-60A Full Rotorcraft Configuration in Forward Flight (전진비행하는 UH-60A 헬리콥터 전기체 형상에 대한 유동 해석)

  • In the present study, unsteady calculations have been performed to simulate flows around a UH-60A full configuration including main rotor, fuselage, and tail rotor. A flow solver developed for helicopter aerodynamic analysis was used for the simulation of the complete helicopter in high-speed and low-speed forward flight. Unsteady vibratory loads on the main rotor blades were compared with flight test and other calculated data for the assessment of the present flow solver. Aerodynamic interaction of the three components of the helicopter was investigated by comparing with the results of main-rotor-alone, main rotor and fuselage, and tail-rotor-alone configurations. It was found that the existence of the fuselage has an effect on the normal force distribution of the main rotor by varying downwash distribution on the rotor disc, and tip vortices trailed from the main rotor strongly interact with the tail-rotor.

  • Groundwater flow in rock mass is controlled by the fractures developed in the area. So, the conductive fractures are very important for groundwater flow in crystalline rock. This study aims to find out the characteristics of the fracture distributed in granitic rock in the northern part of the Yusong area (latitude $36^{\circ}24'18"~36^{\circ}25'08",{\;}longitude{\;}127^{\circ}21'00"~127^{\circ}23'23"$). The electric and EM surveys were carried out in the site to delineate the fracture the fracture zones. Since geophysical survey provides non-unique solution, hydraulic data and dilling log data including BHTV scanning were used as complementary data to achieve the objective of this study. Electric survey(DC) arrays used are schlumberger and dipole-dipole arrays. VLF is used for EM survey. The main charcteristics of the fracture developed in the study aera are that fractures associated with basic dyke cut corss the main fracture zone in NNW and play an important role as hydraulic barrier. In trun, groundwater table in the upstream area is lower than that downstream area.

  • Unlike an international combustion engine car, a battery-powered electric vehicle requires an additional heat source for its heating system. A high-voltage coolant heater has the advantages of high efficiency and a wide operating temperature range. In its development, the geometry design of the coolant flow path is essential. This paper presents the thermal flow simulations of a 7kW high-voltage heater with symmetric serpentine flow channels arranged parallelly. The heater performance was evaluated from the simulation results in terms of the pressure and temperature differences and the flow uniformity. The proposed design showed a greater flow resistance and similar heat exchanging capability than the existing parallel serpentine design. It has the advantage of a relatively wide low-temperature surface area, where the control circuit board susceptible to high temperatures can be located.

  • Dynamic responses of electrorheological (ER) fluids in steady pressure flow to stepwise electric field excitations are investigated experimentally. The transient periods under various applied electric fields and flow velocities were determined from the pressure behavior of the ER fluid in the flow channel with two parallel-plate electrodes. The pressure response times were exponentially decreased with the increase of the flow velocity, but increased with the increase of the applied electric field strength. In order to investigate the cluster structure formation of the ER particles, it was verified using the flow visualization technique that the transient response of ER fluids in the flow mode is assigned to the densification process in the competition of the electric field-induced particle attractive interaction forces and the hydrodynamic forces, unlike that in the shear mode determined by the aggregation process.

  • 현재 널리 쓰이는 고밀도 플라즈마 장치의 식각 시뮬레이션은 식각 패턴으로는 level set method이며 바이어스가 인가된 sheath model로는 Riley sheath model 이 보편적으로 받아들여지고 있다. 이러한 식각 시뮬레이션은 RF(Radio Frequency) sheath로부터 가속된 이온이 단위 입체각당 특정 지점에 이온 플럭스 분포함수, 이온 에너지 분포함수와, 중성종의 수송모델로 etch rate을 결정하는 과정과 level set method을 이용하여 식각 형태를 계산하는 과정으로 구성되어있다. 본 연구는 식각 형태 계산 이전의 단계로서 $Ar^+,\;Cl_2{^+},\;Cl^+$이온의 유동속도와 밀도를 장치의 radial방향으로 불균일하게 가정하였고, 가정한 값으로 이온 플럭스와 에너지 플럭스에 대한 영향을 알아보았다.

  • A finite volume numerical model is developed for simulating non-equilibrium electroosmotic flow in micro- and nanochannels. The Guoy-Chapman model is adopted to compute the flow and electric potential. The Nernst-Planck equation is employed to trace unsteady transports of ionic species, i.e., time-dependent net charge density. A new set of boundary conditions based on surface charge density are designed rather than using the conventionally-employed zeta potential. A few issues for an efficient computation of electroosmotic flows are discussed. Representative computational examples are given to illustrate the robustness of the numerical model.

  • An interfacial instability has recently been observed for the DC- and AC-powered electroosmotic flows of the two miscible electrolyte layers having different concentrations in microchannels. It is rather contrary to our common belief that the flow inside a microchannel is generally stable due to the dominant role of the viscous damping. In this work, we visualized the electroosmotic flow inside a T-channel to validate the numerical predictions. It is clearly shown that the strong vortices (which characterize the interface shapes) are generated at the interface of the two fluids, as was predicted in the numerical analysis.
