펄스하전 방식에 의한 전기집진장치 성능 개선 (Performance Improvement of EP Adopting the Micro-Pulse Concept)

  • With the increasing demands for clean environment, development of air cleaning systems has been received increasing attention. EP is usually used for air cleaning in the coal power plant. One of the key technology in the EP is high voltage pulse power supply, which affects the performance of the overall system. In this study, high voltage micro pulse power supply for the EP will be developed for a 500MW coal power plant, which is recently developed technology in the advanced nations. The technology developed will contribute in upbringing the export of heavy electric systems and production of high value-added products.

  • An electric precipitator in a thermal electric power plant is essential equipment for preventing air environment pollution. However, it is difficult for the existing control systems to make efficient effects on dust collection. This is because AVC and ERC consist of independent, separate systems in the existing systems. To solve this problem, we developed an intelligent distributed control system, which makes optimal control possible through connection operations between the control systems. In this paper, we analyzed system performance and fly ash reduction effects through the developed system structure, development contents and its actual application to power plant.

  • A well defined electro-spraying and electro-static precipitator(ESP) experiment is carried out to investigate the charging characteristics of the submicron particles and the monodisperse particles. The basic idea is that the highly charged electro-sprayed droplets will be produced into the gas when the Coulombic repulsive force on the surface is higher than the surface tension of the spraying liquid. During this process many highly charged smaller droplets or ions, if the droplets are completely dried out, will be produced in the space. These charged species will be attached ion the particles and then eventually charge the particles. These charged particles will be easily collected with ESP. The experimental results show that the atomizer generated particles with geometric mean diameter (GMD) of 62nm are charged more than 90% even at the mean face velocity of 2.5m/s at the charging zone.

  • In order to get the high collection efficiency of the electrocyclone. the effect of inlet and electrode shapes must be well grasped. In this study, performance characteristics of electrocyclone with different inlet and electrode shapes were experimentally investigated and compared as a function of particle size. Experimental results indicated that the helical inlet and tooth electrode have effect on significantly increasing collection efficiency.

아세트알데히드와 오존 복합악취 저감을 위한 망간기반 촉매 성능 연구 (A Study on the Removal of Complex Odor including Acetaldehyde and Ozone Over Manganese-based Catalysts)

  • 본 연구에서는 대형 직화구이 음식점으로부터 배출되는 유증기 및 미세먼지 제거를 위해 습식 플라즈마 전기집진 공정을 적용할 경우, 집진공정 후단에서 나오는 잔여 오존을 활용하여 제거되지 않은 아세트알데히드와 오존을 제거함으로써 복합악취를 저감할 수 있는 오존 산화 촉매 공정을 개발하였다. 망간산화물 기반 촉매는 분말 촉매 제조 후 압출하여 펠렛 형태로 성형하였으며, 성형촉매 상에서 아세트알데히드와 오존 모두 높은 제거율을 나타낼 수 있도록 최적 조건을 도출하고자 하였다. 제조한 $Mn_2O_3$$CuMnO_x$ 촉매는 각각의 성능을 평가하였으며, 이 두 가지 촉매를 2단으로 적용하였을 때 공간속도 $10,000h^{-1}$, 반응온도 $100^{\circ}C$인 조건에서 아세트알데히드는 85% 이상, 오존은 100% 저감시킬 수 있었다.

  • As SOC (Social Overhead Capital) has been expanded, the highway road construction has been accelerated and city road system has been more complicated. So, long road tunnels have been increased and traffic flow rate also has been raised. Accordingly, the exhausting gas of vehicle cars seriously deteriorates the tunnel inside air quality and driving view. In order to improve tunnel inside air quality, we may need to introduce a compulsory ventilation system as well as natural ventilation mechanism. The natural ventilation mechanism is enough for short tunnels, meanwhile longer tunnels require a specific compulsory ventilation facility. Many foreign countries already have been devoting on development of effective tunnel ventilation system and especially, some European nations and Japan have already applied their developed tunnel ventilation system for longer road tunnels. More recently, as the quality of life improved, our concerns about safety of driving and better driving environment have been increased. In order to obtain clearer and longer driving view, we are more interested in EP tunnel ventilation system in order to remove floating contaminants and automobile exhaust gas. Evan though it's been a long time since many European countries and Japan applied more economical and environment-friendly tunnel ventilation system with their self-developed Electrostatic Precipitator, we are still dependant on imported system from foreign nations. Therefore, we need to develop our unique technical know-how for optimum design tools through validity investigation and continuous possibility examination, eventually in order to localize the tunnel ventilation system technology. In this project, we will manufacture test-run products to examine the performance of system in order to develop main parts of tunnel ventilation system such as electrostatic precipitator, high voltage power generator, water treatment system, etc.

반도체 제조공정 미세먼지-질소산화물 동시 저감을 위한 오존 고속산화공정 최적화 연구 (Optimization of an Ozone-based Advanced Oxidation Process for the Simultaneous Removal of Particulate Matters and Nitrogen Oxides in a Semiconductor Fabrication Process)

  • 반도체 제조공정에서 발생하는 미세먼지와 질소산화물 동시처리를 위하여 오존산화, 습식중화 및 습식전기집진 기술들을 직접화한 10 CMM급 복합오염물질 제거시스템을 개발하였으며, NOx 제거효율 증대를 위한 공정변수 제어 및 최적화를 진행하였다. 특히, 전원공급장치를 포함한 습식전기집진장치 핵심부품 안정성 평가를 위해 30일 동안의 장기운전도 병행하였다. 오존산화 기반 DeNOx 공정에서 가장 중요한 운전변수인 O3/NO 비율은 1.5 부근에서 최적화하였으며, 습식중화 공정의 운전변수를 최적화하여 중화반응에 의한 제거효율 기여도를 확인하였다.
