HTS 선재에 따른 초전도 핵융합 마그넷용 고온초전도 전류도입선의 개념설계 (Conceptual Design of High-Tc Superconducting Current leads for Superconducting Nuclear Fusion Magnets with respect to various HTS tapes)

  • Superconducting current leads are indispensible for reducing power loss when subjecting current into superconducting magnets. HTS(High-Tc superconducting) current leads are divided into two types; one is bulk type and the other is tape type. In this paper, conceptual design on the HTS current leads which adopts tape type for nuclear fusion magnets is carried out using magnetic field analysis and thermal analysis. When large current flows through superconducting current leads, strong self magnetic field is generated and applied to the superconducting tapes. This phenomenon leads to the critical current decrease of the superconducting tape. Therefore, we analyzed magnetic field distribution of current leads and found the proper arrangement with respect to the various HTS tapes. In addition to the magnetic field analysis, heat leak through the current leads was also calculated to know which HTS tape is superior than others in thermal aspect. Magnetical field analysis and calculation of heat leak are performed to design 2 kA class HTS current leads.

  • 본 논문은 전기 자동차의 DC-DC 컨버터 공유형 유·무선통합 충전 시스템의 고효율 동작을 고려한 최적의 DC-link 전압을 설계한다. DC-DC 컨버터의 입력 DC-link 전압 크기에 따라 유·무선 충전 방식 간 효율 특성이 상이하므로 DC-link 전압 크기별 유·무선 충전 시스템의 손실 분석을 진행한다. 손실 분석 결과를 바탕으로 유·무선 통합 충전 시스템의 고효율 동작을 위한 최적 DC-link 전압을 제안한다.

  • In the case of designing superconducting power apparatuses using the second generation high temperature superconducting wire, it is necessary to have a tape-splicing technique to achieve low splice resistance between coated conductor (CC) tapes. In this paper, an experimental splice method between YBCO CC tapes is proposed for a coil application. Splices were performed with a 37Pb-63Sn solder. YBCO samples were fabricated with various pressures and cooling rates. Joint resistances of the spliced samples of jointed YBCO CC tapes were measured and evaluated from V-I curves. In addition, optical micrographs were obtained to analyze the cross sectional microstructure of jointed samples.

  • To limit fault current in a power system, superconducting fault current limiters (SFCLs) using high temperature superconducting (HTS) coils have been developed by many research groups so far. Non-inductive winding of HTS coils used for SFCLs can be classified into solenoid winding and pancake winding. Each of winding is expected to have different quench and recovery characteristics because the structure of solenoid winding differs from pancake winding's. Therefore it is important to the SFCLs application to investigate characteristics of each winding. In this paper, we deal with quench and recovery characteristics of four kinds of winding : solenoid winding, pancake winding without spacers, and with spacers of 2 and 4 mm thickness. In order to obtain quench and recovery parameters of coils, short circuit tests were performed in liquid nitrogen.

타입에 따른 무유도 권선형 코일의 한류 특성연구 및 자장해석 (A study on the current limiting characteristics and magnetic analysis of the non-inductively wound coil)

  • To reduce the power loss in normal state, non-inductively wound high temperature superconducting (HTS) coils are used for fault current limiter (FCL) application. Non-inductively wound coils can be classified into two types: solenoid type and pancake type. These two types have different electrical and thermal and mechanical characteristics due to their winding structure difference. This paper deals with the current limiting characteristics, magnetic field analysis of the two coils. Simulation using finite element method (FEM) was used to analyze the magnetic field distribution and inductance of the coils. Short circuit test using stabilizer-free coated conductor (CC) was also carried out. We can compare the characteristics of the two types of coil by using the data obtained from simulation and short circuit test. We confirmed the feasibility of FCL application by the analysis about the characteristics of non-inductively wound coil using CC.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기자동차 급속 충전 시 배터리 팩의 온도 모사를 위한 열 모델링 기법을 제안한다. 배터리 등가 회로 모델을 기반으로 배터리 팩 내부 발열량을 계산하고, 배터리 열 모델 구성을 위한 파라미터 추출 실험 방안을 제안하다. 또한, 전기자동차 방열 시스템의 영향 등으로 인한 발열량 변화를 실시간으로 보정하여 온도 모사 정확도를 개선한다. 열 모델링 기법의 유효성 검증을 위하여 전기자동차용 배터리 팩 기반의 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 진행한다.
