UX Analysis for Mobile Devices Using MapReduce on Distributed Data Processing Platform (MapReduce 분산 데이터처리 플랫폼에 기반한 모바일 디바이스 UX 분석)

  • As the concept of web characteristics represented by openness and mind sharing grows more and more popular, device log data generated by both users and developers have become increasingly complicated. For such reasons, a log data processing mechanism that automatically produces meaningful data set from large amount of log records have become necessary for mobile device UX(User eXperience) analysis. In this paper, we define the attributes of to-be-analyzed log data that reflect the characteristics of a mobile device and collect real log data from mobile device users. Along with the MapReduce programming paradigm in Hadoop platform, we have performed a mobile device User eXperience analysis in a distributed processing environment using the collected real log data. We have then demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed analysis mechanism by applying the various combinations of Map and Reduce steps to produce a simple data schema from the large amount of complex log records.

User Interaction-based Graph Query Formulation and Processing (사용자 상호작용에 기반한 그래프질의 생성 및 처리)

  • With the rapidly growing amount of information represented in RDF format, efficient querying of RDF graph has become a fundamental challenge. SPARQL is one of the most widely used query languages for retrieving information from RDF dataset. SPARQL is not only simple in its syntax but also powerful in representation of graph pattern queries. However, users need to make a lot of efforts to understand the ontology schema of a dataset in order to compose a relevant SPARQL query. In this paper, we propose a graph query formulation and processing scheme based on ontology schema information which can be obtained by summarizing RDF graph. In the context of the proposed querying scheme, a user can interactively formulate the graph queries on the graphic user interface without making efforts to understand the ontology schema and even without learning SPARQL syntax. The graph query formulated by a user is transformed into a set of class paths, which are stored in a relational database and used as the constraint for search space reduction when the relational database executes the graph search operation. By executing the LUBM query 2, 8, and 9 over LUBM (10,0), it is shown that the proposed querying scheme returns the complete result set.

  • XML architecture is important to wireless or wired presentation. It is also important for data exchange between businesses. XML forces the separation of content from style and gives wired or wireless devices flexibility for interpretation. Separation of content, style, and logic is key to advanced architecture. XML can be exchanged among databases on multiple systems with presentation on wired or wireless devices. An XML schema might need to be defined, or an established DTD might need to be transformed to access a relational database on the server. The purpose of this study is to generate XML documents such as DTD, XML schema, RDB mapping using Tagfree's XML developer tools in order to experience whole processes mentioned above. Overall understanding of data structures of and database processing with XML documents, which is essential to XML programming and database processing, can be accomplished with this study without much endeavor to learn complex XML syntax. The future study can be extended on the subject of web programming with DOM or SAX API.

  • 최근 멀티미디어 분야에서 다양한 입/출력 장치들이 개발됨에 따라 입/출력 장치와 사용자 사이의 향상된 상호작용(AUI : Advanced User Interaction)을 위한 방법들이 연구되고 있다. AUI에서 정의되는 데이터는 입/출력 장치와 다양한 객체(비디오, 오디오, 2D 그래픽 객체, 애니메이션 등)로 표현되는 Scene Description 사이에서 서로 정보를 주고받기 위한 매체이다. 따라서 다양한 입/출력 장치와 사용자 사이의 향상된 상호작용을 위해서는 AUI 데이터 형식이 공통적으로 정의되어야한다. 이를 위해 ISO/IEC JTC1/SC29/WG11 Moving Picture Experts Group(MPEG)에서는 XML(Extensible Markup Language) 문서로 AUI 데이터 포맷을 표준화하기 위한 MPEG-U 프로젝트를 진행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG-U의 표준을 소개하고, 이의 타당성을 검증하기 위해서 MPEG-U 참조 소프트웨어를 설계하였다. MPEG-U 참조 소프트웨어는 크게 UID(User Interaction Device)의 데이터를 처리하는 사용자 인터페이스 입/출력부와 XML 문서를 처리하는 MPEG-U XML 생성/해석부로 구성된다. 사용자 인터페이스 입력부에서는 사용자의 손동작을 인식하여 AUI 파라미터로 저장하고, 이 파라미터를 MPEG-U XML 생성부에서 MPEG-U 표준 XML 스키마 구조로 서술하여 표준화된 AUI 데이터 포맷을 생성한다. 다시 표준화된 XML 문서를 읽어 MPEG-U XML 해석부에서 파라미터를 얻고, 사용자 인터페이스 출력부에서 GUI(Graphic User Interface)에서 그래픽 객체로 표현한다. 본 연구에서는 MPEG-U 참조 소프트웨어로 MPEG-U의 용용 예를 제시하고, 구현된 소프트웨어가 표준에 적합한지를 보였다.

  • Most 3D models found in the literature focus on theoretical topology for exterior 3D volumes. Although there are a few indoor models such as CityGML or IFC, implementing a full topology for the indoor spaces is either less practical due to the complexity or not even necessary in some application domains. Moreover, current spatial DBMSs do not support functionalities explicitly for 3D topological relations. In this study, an alternative method to build a 3D indoor model with less complexity ernativespatial DBMS is suggested. Focusnation the fact that semantic attributes can be storedion the floor surface, we suggestivemulti-layered 3D model for indoor spaces. We show the process to build the proposed model in the PostGIS, a spatial DBMS. And, then, as an example application, we illustrate the process to build and run a campus building information system.

  • We design and implement an ORDBMS-based geographic information system for sightseeing information of Chungbuk to verify the performance and applicability of GEUS/XTM ORDBMS. We Acquire the positional coordinates of the boundaries of administrative districts , roads, and railroads, determine the various kinds of information such as the locations of sightseeing sites, lodgings, and so on, design an object-relational schema using OMT, and implement the geographic information system including a database system. Through the examination of selective accessibility on the sightseeing inform ation database by the various queries, we conclude that the ORDBMS is more applicable than other DBMSs in modeling, storing, referring, and managing of non-fixed complex data such as sightseeing information. Therefore, ORDBMSs provide efficient and extensible implementations of databases and information services from various sources for the increasing demand on geographic information service on internet.

  • This paper suggests design and implementation of moving objects management system using GML which is the XML encoding standard of geographic data. The proposed system integrates spatial data and moving objects data, utilizing the concept of Web Feature Services. While integrating data, standard data model and interfaces, proposed by OGC, are used. Since GML is standard for storing and transferring spatial/non-spatial data, interoperability and extendibility can be obtained.   • 수출입 관련 항만물류업무 처리의 효율화를 위해 1996년부터 도입된 EDI는 서류없이 각종 항만물류 및 통관업무를 효율적으로 처리하는데 큰 기여를 하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 방식은 VAN EDI 로써 폐쇄적인 VAN 망을 통하여 EDI VAN사업자가 사용자의 EDI문서를 관련 정부기관에 중계만을 하여 EDI문서에 나타난 각종 데이터의 누적을 통한 물류정보서비스는 제공되고 있지 않다. 한편, EDI를 수신한 각 정부기관에서는 필요한 물류요약정보를 얻기 위해 해당 EDI 문서에서 추출한 데이터를 저장하는 운영 데이터베이스에 접근하여 필요한 요약 정보를 리포트 형태로 프로그램하여 생성하고 있어 정보제공의 시간지연과 프로그램 업무의 과중 및 운영 데이터베이스에 대한 부하가 발생하고 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 이러한 상황에서 수출입 항만물류와 관련한 다차원 정보를 실시간제공하기 위한 데이터웨어하우스를 구축하는데 있다. 일반적으로 데이터웨어하우스는 운영데이터베이스로부터 다차원 구조의 데이터웨어하우스로 데이터를 추출, 전환, 복사함으로써 이루어지지만, 본 연구에서는 EDI 수신 기관의 운영데이터베이스보다 더 원천 데이터인EDI 문서로부터 데이터웨어하우스로 데이터 변환을 함으로써 항만물류 데이터웨어하우스의 데이터 추출 단계를 한 단계 줄였다. 현재 VAN EDI 방식은 그 폐쇄성과 비용 때문에 향후 인터넷을 이용한 XML/EDI로 기술 이전될 것이 예상되며 이러한 상황에서VAN EDI 포맷이 아닌 XML/EDI 문서로 부터 데이터웨어하우스로의 전환을 구현하였다. 본 연구에서는 관세청의 수출통관 EDI에 대해 이를 XML/EDI 로 XML 스키마를 정의하고 이로 생성된 XML 문서를 SQL 서버로 구현된 OLAP 용 데이터웨어하우스로 전환하였다. 본 연구를 통해 XML을 이용한 EDI체제에서 전자문서전송기능과 정보제공기능을 위한 데이터웨어하우스의 연동을 동해 EDI시스템을 다차원 의사결정정보 시스템과 통합하게 하여, 향후 인터넷 기반 XML/EDI 중계서비스에 있어 물류정보서비스도 원활하게 제공할 수 있게될 것으로 기대된다.

Decision Tree for Likely phoneme model schema support (유사 음소 모델 스키마 지원을 위한 결정 트리)

  • In Speech recognition system, there is a problem with phoneme in the model training and it cause a stored mode regeneration process which come into being appear time and more costs. In this paper, we propose the methode of likely phoneme model schema using decision tree clustering. Proposed system has a robust and correct sound model which system apply the decision tree clustering methode form generate model, therefore this system reduce the regeneration process and provide a retrieve the phoneme unit in probability model. Also, this proposed system provide a additional likely phoneme model and configured robust correct sound model. System performance as a result of represent vocabulary dependence recognition rate of 98.3%, vocabulary independence recognition rate of 98.4%.

  • In this paper, we present a design and implementation of a personalized broadcasting system using TV-Anytime metadata for providing personalized services. The TV-Anytime specifies metadata schema, metadata coding and delivery, and provides service models to provide personalized broadcasting content services at anytime when users want to consume using metadata, which includes ECG (Electronic Content Guide) and content descriptive information in a PDR (Personal Digital Recorder)-centric environment. The proposed personalized broadcasting system consists of a server that provides metadata binary-coding, encapsulation and multiplexing, and a client terminal that takes charge of de-multiplexing, metadata decoding, and metadata processing for personalized content accessing and consumption. This paper presents the details of the design of each functional module, and the evaluation results with a set of service scenarios in an end-to-end broadcasting test-bed.
