한국출판문화산업진흥원(원장 이재호)은 최근 서체와 서체프로그램 저작권 관련 법률 용어 및 의미, 분쟁사례, 분쟁의 사전 예방과 대처 방법 등을 소개하는 '서체 프로그램 이용 길라잡이'를 발행했다. 이중 서체프로그램 분쟁예방 및 대응방법에 대한 내용을 소개한다. 한편 대한인쇄문화협회에서는 문화체육관광부의 지원을 받아 바른돋움체와 바른바탕체를 개발해 홈페이지(www.print.or.kr) 자료실에서 무료로 다운받아 사용할 수 있도록 하고 있다.

Cinematographic works are crucial for libraries as a part of their collections. Especially public libraries provide a variety of programs associated with cinematographic works. Copyright law considers the use of cinematographic works as a type of public performance and restricted it under certain conditions such as the released date. In addition, copyright agency challenged libraries to pay fees for cinematographic works released within 6 months. At this point, this study investigated the perception of librarians on cinematographic works and copyright issues. 292 librarians in public and academic libraries answers the questionnaire form May 8th to June 7th, 2013. In result, librarians consider services of video works as a important part of library services. They are also conscious of the exception conditions for copyright law for cinematographic works provided by library services. Furthermore, even though librarians are aware of copyright issues, they show the negative response to copyright fees for playing cinematographic works in the libraries.

2012년 3월 15일부터 시작된 한미FTA 개정저작권이 출판과 출판콘텐츠 관련 사업 부분에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 살펴보자. 첫째, 저작권 유지기간이 50년에서 70년으로 바뀌었다. 이는 출판사 및 음반사와 같이 저작물을 상업적으로 유통하는 국내 업체들이 미국에 로열티를 지불할 기간이 20년 더 늘어난 것이므로 로열티 부담이 는 셈이다. 둘째, 배타적발행권의 신설이다. 지금까지 배타적발행권은 종이책 출판과 프로그램에만 해당됐는데, 최근 들어 활발해진 전자책 활성화에 따라 출판권을 전자책까지 인정한다는 의미로 볼 수 있다. 콘텐츠를 다루는 일인으로서 저작권의 개념이 바뀌어야 할 때라고 본다. 나아가 출판콘텐츠를 포함한 문화콘텐츠(음반, 영상, 공연 등) 관련자들에게 미치는 영향도 함께 살펴본다.

개방성과 접근성올 특징으로 하는 '오픈 디자인'에 관한 책이 나왔다. 안그라픽스가 최근 내놓은 '오픈 디자인'은 저작권이 없는, 누구도 독점하지 않는 디자인, 누구나 할 수 있는 디자인에 대해 다루고 있다. 본문체는 바른바탕을 사용했는데, 이 서체는 대한인쇄문화협회가 문화체육관광부의 지원을 받아 제작한 서체로, 누구나 무료로 다운받아 사용할 수 있다. 바른바탕외에도 아리따돋움, 아리따부리, 노토산스, 나눔바른고딕 등 공개된 서체를 사용해 제작했다.

Plagiarism in which people use other people's works partially or in entirety as if they are their own and infringement on copyrights that frequently occur in various forms under smart device environment are becoming one of the crucial problems that need to be solved for Korea to become an advanced nation. This paper investigates and analyzes how college students, the heaviest user of smart devices under various smart device environment, are committing plagiarism and copyright infringement and suggest a basic education plan to prevent plagiarism and copyright infringement. College students have a very low awareness of plagiarism and copyrights and the level of violation associated with plagiarism and copyrights infringement they commit from elementary school to college were found to be at a serious level. It was demonstrated that the solution suggested in this paper to solve these problems would be effective in enhancing the awareness of the bad effect of plagiarism and copyrights infringement along with their side effects.
