Analysis of Electric Potential Distribution due to Condition of Grounding Environment (접지환경 조건에 따른 지중함의 전위분포 해석)

  • 본 연구에서는 침수된 저압 지중함에서 발생될 수 있는 누전 사고시 지중함내의 접지조건이 주변의 대지전위분포에 미치는 영향을 고찰하였다. 저압 지중함 실증실험장을 설계 구축하였으며 3가지 접지조건의 경우에 대해 대지전위 측정 실험을 실시하였다. case 1과 case2와 같은 실증실험을 통해 저압 지중함에 설치되어 있는 접지선은 저압 지중함에서 대지전위 분포에 거의 영향이 없음을 확인하였으며, case 3과 같은 실증실험을 통해 저압 지중함 철재틀에 접지단자를 본딩 할 경우 저압 지중함 주변의 대지전위 상승이 거의 발생되지 않음을 확인하였다. 따라서 저압 지중함 철재틀에 접지단자를 본딩 할 경우 혹시 발생될 수 있는 지중함의 누전에 의한 감전사고를 매우 효과적으로 방지할 수 있을 것이다.

Growth Characteristics of Lettuce under Low Pressure (저압조건에서 상추의 생육 특성)

  • This study was conducted to analyze the feasibility of plant growth under low pressure and to investigate the effect of pressure on plant growth. Three levels of pressures (25, 50, and 101.3 kPa (control)) were provided to analyze the growth of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) as affected by low pressure. Photoperiod, air temperature, and photosynthetic photon flux were set at 16/8 h, 26/$18^{\circ}C$, and $240{\mu}mol{\cdot}m^{-2}s^{-1}$, respectively. Growth characteristics of lettuce were measured on 7 days and 14 days after experiment. Leaf length, leaf width, leaf area, and root dry weight of lettuce measured on 7 days under 25 and 50 kPa were significant as compared to the control. Leaf length, top dry matter and root dry matter of lettuce measured on 14 days were significantly different under 25 and 50 kPa. From these results, we confirmed that lettuce could be grown under low pressure. However high relative humidity by evapotranspiration from leaves and growing beds under low pressure caused the condensation on the inner surface of the chamber. Therefore in a low pressure chamber, humidity control is required to maintain the relative humidity at a proper level.

CFD validation for subcooled boiling under low pressure (저압에서의 과냉각 비등 현상에 대한 CFD의 유효성 검토)

  • Subcooled boiling under low pressure was numerically investigated using computational fluid dynamics(CFD). The wall boiling model was used for simulating the subcooled boiling; this model requires sub-models consisting of bubble departure diameter, nucleation site density and bubble departure frequency. The CFD code CFX provides the default models based on experimental data. Because these models are mostly developed under high pressure conditions, it would not be predicted well in low pressure conditions. Thus in this study, CFD validation for subcooled boiling under low pressure was analyzed. The numerical results were compared with experimental data from published paper. Simulations were performed with mass flux ranging from 250 to $750kg/m^2s$, heat flux ranging from 0.37 to $0.77MW/m^2$ and constant outlet pressure of 0.11 MPa. Employing the empirical correlation developed under low pressures could increase the accuracy of numerical analysis.

Low Pressure Combustion Tests for Technology Demonstration Model of 75 tonf Thrust Chamber (75톤급 액체로켓엔진 연소기 저압연소시험)

  • Low pressure combustion tests for TDM(Technology Demonstration Model) of 75 tonf thrust chamber were performed. It has design chamber pressure of 60 bar, propellant mass flow rate of 243.6 kg/s. Due to the limitation of the current firing test facility in Korea, the combustion tests were conducted to verify the operation and the combustion performance at low pressure condition (30 bar, 121.8 kg/s). All the tests had been successfully executed without the damage of the hardware. These test results can be used as fundamental data to predict the combustion performance at design point condition for 75 tonf thrust chamber.

  • 한국원자력연구소에서는 최고 16MPa애서 운전할 수 있는 RCS 열수력 Loop를 저작하고 CHF 측정실험을 수행하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 저유량조건에서 압력이 CHF에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위해 압력 12MPa, 질량유속 300~550kg/$m^2$.s, Test Section입구 과냉도 210 kJ/kg의 범위에서 CHF 실험을 수행하였다. 본 실험조건에서 CHF는 환상류영역에서 발생하였으며 발생기구는 Entrainment-Limited CHF가 지배적이었다. Doerffer의 CHF 상관식은 저압에서 예측능력이 현저하게 떨어지나 고압조건에서는 실험자료를 잘 예측하였다. Bowring의 상관식은 고압 및 저압에서도 양호한 예측능력을 보여주었다.

  • Ignition and combustion performance of a gas-turbine engine were changed by various high-altitude condition. A goal of this study is to make the small test facility to simulate high-altitude condition. To perform the low pressure condition, a diffuser was used in various diffuser front of primary nozzle pressure. To perform the low temperature, heat exchanger was used in various mixture ratio of cryogenic air and ambient temperature air. The experimental result shows that high-altitude conditions can be controled by diffuser front of primary nozzle pressure and mixture ratio of cryogenic air and ambient temperature air.

초임계 난류연소 모델링

  • 초임계 유체의 고유한 물리적 특성변화와 난류유동을 결합하여 성능을 높이는 데 활용하고 있는 가장 대표적인 시스템 중의 하나는 연소기이다. 이때 연료와 산화제의 연소반응은 저압조건과 다른 고유한 특성을 가지고 있어 기존의 연소모델에 의해서는 정확한 분석이 어렵게 된다. 따라서 초임계 압력조건에 대한 연소과정을 분석할 수 있는 연소모델이 필요하고 이러한 연소과정이 난류유동조건에서 발생하기 때문에 최근 많은 연구가 초임계 난류연소모델 개발에 집중되어 왔다. 이 글에서는 특히 액체로켓엔진 관련 초임계 연소모델 개발 분야의 연구동향을 살펴보고자 한다.

  • Combustion test results of 1/2.5-scale thrust chamber for 75tonf-class liquid rocket engine were described. The thrust chamber has chamber pressure of 60 bar, propellant mass flow rate of 89 kg/s, and nozzle expansion ratio of 12. The combustion tests were conducted to verify the combustion performance, the regenerative cooling performance and the durability of thrust chamber at design point condition, and then were performed to confirm the operation and the combustion performance at low combustion pressure condition. All the tests had been successfully executed without the damage of the hardware. These test results present a possibility of hot firing test at low combustion pressure condition, and can be used as fundamental data to predict the combustion performance at design point condition for 75 tonf thrust chamber.

  • Most CFD codes, that mainly adopt the heat partitioning model as the wall boiling model, have shown low accuracies in predicting the two-phase flow parameters of subcooled boiling phenomena under low pressure conditions. In this study, a number of subcooled boiling experiments in vertical channels were analyzed using a thermal-hydraulic component code, CUPID. The prediction of the void fraction distribution using the CUPID code agreed well with experimental data at high-pressure conditions; whereas at low-pressure conditions, the predicted void fraction deviated considerably from measured ones. Sensitivity tests were performed on the submodels for major parameters in the heat partitioning model to find the optimized sets of empirical correlations suitable for low-pressure subcooled flow boiling. The effect of the K-factor on the void fraction distribution was also evaluated.

  • 저압기기는 사용자의 조작과 밀접한 연관이 있어서 항상 안전성에 중점을 두고 있다. 이에 따라 관련 제품규격에서도 안전에 관련된 시험 요구사항 개발이 최근 들어 늘어나고 있다. 특히 절연과 관련된 시험 요구사항 중 기본 절연거리에 대한 규정은 저압기기의 역사와 같이 해왔으며, 매우 중요한 요구조건이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 최근 저압기기의 소형화와 전자부품화에 따라 절연거리의 측정에 관련된 규칙이 매우 복잡하고 다양화되었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 차단기류 제품규격을 중심으로 하여 절연거리 측정과 관련된 시험규격 및 방법을 고찰해 보고, 실제 진행된 국제비교숙련도 시험의 개요도 간단히 소개하고자 한다. 정리된 규칙들은 연구원들이 대부분의 저압기기의 절연거리 측정에 공통적으로 적용하여 저압기기 개발 시 유용하게 활용할 것으로 기대한다.
