  • ITER AC/DC 컨버터는 ITER(국제핵융합실험로) 초전도자석에 최대 68 kA의 전류를 공급하는 전원장치이다. ITER AC/DC 컨버터 구조물의 재질선정, 구조설계, 구조 및 전자기력 해석 등을 통하여 컨버터 단위모듈의 실제크기 시제품을 제작하여 정격전류(22.5 kA) 및 단락전류(250 kA) 시험을 성공적으로 완료하였다.

Strain Rate Sensitive Behavior of Mild Steel Subjected to Dynamic Load (동 하중에 대한 연강 재질의 변형율 속도 민감도 특성 연구)

  • The dynamic material characteristics on some mild steel sheets were observed. The dynamic tests were conducted on the ESH servo-hydraulic test machine. It was observed that the mechanical properties of mild steel are highly sensitive to the value of strain rate. The well known Cowper-Symonds constitutive equation was used to generalize the strain rate sensitivity effect. Modified constitutive equations were suggested to couple the strain hardening to the strain rate sensitivity. The dynamic stress-strain relationships for the mild steel sheets used in the present study were reasonably predicted using these modified constitutive equations.

A Study on Advanced Small Punch Test for Evaluation of Material Degradation in Weldment Microstructures (용접부 미세조직의 재질열화 평가를 위한 Advanced Small Punch 시험에 관한 연구)

  • This research was aimed to evaluate the material degradation with various microstructures of X20CrMoV121 steel weldment by Advanced Small Punch(ASP) test. Due to the regional limitation on constitutive structures, the minimized loading ball(${\varphi}1.5mm$) and bore diameter of lower die(${\varphi}3mm$) were designed for the ASP test. The micro-hardness test was also performed to assess the mechanical properties with artificial aging heat treatment. Material degradation was estimated by ductile-brittle transition temperature(DBTT). The results obtained from the ASP test were compared with those from conventional small punch(CSP) test and CVN impact test for several weldment microstructures. It was found that the ASP test clearly showed the microstructural dependance on the material degradation in the weldment.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the wood qualities for the end-use development of sycamore (Platanus occidentalis L.) grown in Korea. The results obtained were as follows: 1. The average length of wood fibers was l.56mm and the average width of annual rings was 9.5mm. It had very fast growth rate. 2. The specific gravity in air-dry was 0.66. The shrinkage and water absorption were relatively large. The shear and impact strengthes were very strong, while the compressive, tensile, and bending strengthes were weak in comparison to it's specific gravity. 3. The contents of ash, holocellulose, lignin were relatively high 0.74%, 83.08%, 28.79%, but that of pentosan was low 18.53%. 4. The expected uses of sycamore wood are plywood. fancy veneer, small furniture, musical instrument, door and window frame, tool handels, boxes, etc.

  • 최근 대기환경 악화로 송전용 철탑 도장의 열화가 촉진되어 내후성이 강한 신도료를 송전철탑에 적용이 필요하게 되었다. 도료 제조업체의 신도료로 도장시편을 제작하여 옥외에 폭로후 전문기관에서 성능을 확인하였으며, 이를 토대로 도료의 재질을 실리콘 아크릴우레탄계로 변경하였으며, 철탑용 도료 성능시험 기준을 강화하여 철탑 재도장에 따른 유지보수 비용 절감이 될 수 있도록 개선하였다.

  • Fault rate of RCD is increasing due to deterioration and long period usage in domestic. According to Korean standards, the RCDs are installed in panel boards. When RCDs are installed at outdoor, the RCDs must be protected from uv, water etc. by using the housing. However, many RCDs are exposed to the external environment. As a results, many RCDs have malfunctions so that cause the electrical accidents. The RCDs manufactured by four makes were used as the sample to weathering test. Futhermore, those were analyzed the ingredients of RCD'S using SEM, EDX and FT-IR/TAR before and after weathering test.

  • 국내 배전계통에 90년대 중반이후 초기에 도입된 외국산 및 국산 폴리머애자를 현장에서 발취하여 특성을 평가하였다. 외관 관찰, 하우징의 발수성 및 경도, 전기적 특성, 하우징 재질의 변화특성 둥을 시험 평가하였다. 평가 결과 하우징은 발수성이 상실되었으며 표면에 열화가 진행되었다. 그러나 애자의 성능은 양호한 것으로 나타났다.

저경도 할로겐프리 난연 재료 특성 연구

  • 기존 할로겐프리 제품은 PVC와 비교하여 유연성이 크게 떨어져 PVC 사용에 대한 규제가 강화되고 있음에도 불구하고, 이를 쉽게 대체하기 곤란하다는 문제점이 있다. 이에 할로겐프리 재료만 사용하여 고난연성, 예를 들면 UL 1581 에 따른 VW-1 규정을 충족하는 고난연성을 가지면서도 경도가 낮아(경도 70수준, Shore A) 재질의 유연성이 확보된 고분자 재료를 개발하는 것이 요구된다. 실험 결과로부터 인장강도 11[Mpa], 신장율 720[%], 가열후 인장강도 잔율 90[%], 가열후 신장잔율 88[%], 산소지수 38.0, 수직난연시험 합격, 경도(Shore A) 70, 백화현상이 나타나지 않는 등 우수한 특성을 보였다.

  • 나이모닉 일체형으로 사용되고 있는 선박용 2 행정 저속엔진의 배기밸브 스핀들을 고온, 고압, 배기가스 및 반복 충격 하중에 노출된 스핀들의 Head부분은 기존의 나이모닉 소재를 적용, 기존 재질의 우수한 성질을 유지하고 설계적으로 나이모닉 소재의 적용이 불필요한 Stem부는 오스텐나이트 계열의 SNCrW 소재를 사용하여 관성마찰 용접 방식으로 접합하여 제품을 제작하고, 접합부의 미세조직 관찰, 성분분석, 인장, 경도, 피로시험 등의 기계적, 금속적 특성평가를 통해 마찰용접제품에 대한 신뢰성을 확인하고 양산 생산을 위한 기술적 토대를 마련하였다.

  • In this paper, weldability and formability of Tailored-Blank (TB) and the structural impact testing of bump beam were investigated to apply TB to automobile bumper beam. The optimal $CO_2$ laser welding condition for TB of SPFC and SPRC steel plates with different thicknesses was obtained. Before welding, the cross section of butt joint was prepared only by shearing without milling process. Real type bump beam was produced by two kind of forming processes such as roll-forming and press-forming, and the good formability of TB was obtained. Impact test results of bump by using pendulum and barrier were satisfied the impact regulation of bump. Finally. It may be confirmed that laser welded TB is well-balanced material in both weight reduction and production cost of automobile bump.
