Responses of Burning Liquid Propellant Sprays Perturbed by Unstable Pressure Waves (불안정한 압력파동 섭동에 의한 액체추진제 분무연소 반응)

  • 액체추진제 로켓엔진 연소실에는 고유모드에 대응하는 음향파동이 내재되며 이러한 음향파동은 연소와의 상호작용을 통하여 불안정한 음향에너지를 공급받아 증폭되며 결국에는 연소불안정 상태에까지 이르게 된다. 이와 같은 불안정한 상태에 이르기 위해서는 연소로부터 되먹임되는 불안정 에너지의 양이 충분히 크고 구동 음향파동에 근접한 위상을 가져야 한다. 이와 같은 구동 메커니즘을 구성하는 상세한 물리적 현상들을 규명하고 예측하기 위한 많은 연구들이 보고되었으며, 이들 중 이론적인 시간 지연 모델을 사용하는 음향적인 방법은 매우 경제적인 반면 연소 현상에 대한 상세한 모사가 생략되어 연소 불안정의 구체적인 원인을 규명하는데 어려움이 있고, 파동 방정식에 의하여 연소실 내부의 파동 에너지 증가를 예측하는 방법은 연소기 내에서의 연소 메커니즘에 대한 고려 없이 연소에 의해 발생하는 에너지만을 포함하는 단점과 선형적인 연소 불안정에만 제한된다는 제한이 있다. 음향장과 커플된 기화반응 모델은 분무액적의 기화 과정이 추진제 연소의 지배과정이라는 가정 하에 연소응답을 기화반응으로 대체하는 방법으로, 역시 단시간 내에 결과를 얻을 수 있다는 장점이 있으나 기화반응으로부터 음향파동으로의 에너지 되먹임 과정이 배제되어 있어 정확한 결과를 구하기는 어렵다. 이에 대하여 최근에는 전산 모사적인 방법을 사용하는 대규모의 연소장 해석이 가능하여 짐으로써 음향파동에 의한 외란과 에너지 되먹임과정을 모두 포하마여 수치적인 방법을 사용하여 계산하는 액체추진제 로켓엔진의 고주파 연소불안정 해석방법들이 제시되고 있다.안정성 모드가 있음을 보였다. 밀도 변화가 있는 경우나 밀도 변화가 없는 경우 모두 sinuous 모드의 가장 불안정한 모드가 varicose 모드의 가장 불안정한 모드보다 더 불안정함을 보여주어 후류 유동은 자유 유동에 가까운 위상 속도를 가지는 sinuous 모드에 의해 지배될 것임을 예측할 수 있다. 연소반응이 완전연소에 가까울수록 그리고 압축성 효과가 클수록 유동내부의 온도가 증가하고 점성 또한 증가하여 후류유동은 안정됨을 알 수 있었다 유동변수들의 contour로부터 유동의 특성을 예측한 결과 baroclinic 항이 dilatational 항보다 상대적으로 크며, 중심선 상하에 생기는 vortex를 더욱 성장시킬 것으로 생각된다.냉각 홀의 막임, 연소 입자의 점착 부위 등을 예측하여 보완책을 준비할 수 있도록 하였다.$mm^2$sec였으며, 이는 다른 graphite/epixy 복합재의 확산계수와 유사한 값을 나타내고 있다. 또한 추진제가 충전된 연소관을 절단하여 밀폐한 후 95%RH 습도 조건에 보관함으로써 연소관 내부의 추진제 기계적 특성에 미치는 침투된 습기의 영향도 함께 고찰하였다. 추진제에 따라 차이는 있겠으나 추진제가 충전된 연소관은 순수 복합재 연소관에 비해 습기의 투과 정도가 작으며, 본 연소관에 충전된 RDX/AP계 추진제의 경우 추진제의 습기투과에 의한 추진제 물성 변화는 미미한 것으로 나타났다.의 향상으로, 음성개선에 효과적이라고 사료되었으며, 이 방법이 편측 성대마비 환자의 효과적인 음성개선의 치료방법의 하나로 응용될 수 있으리라 생각된다..

Experimental Study on the Characteristics of Asphalt Seal Waterproofing Material for Underground External Walls According to Temperature (온조도건에 따른 외벽방수용 아스팔트 씰계 재료의 흘러내림 특성에 관한 실험)

  • The present study investigated the characteristics of vertical sagging down of high temperature in chamber and characteristics of vertical sagging down in the outdoor asphalt sheet and asphalt seal under korea ltimate condition using asphalt seal products of solvent based type, solventless type, water dispersion type, and heat melting type, which are currently applied in Korea. Prior to the investigation of outdoor vertical sagging down characteristics, the assessment of sagging down performance of single use of sealing products at $20^{\circ}C$, $40^{\circ}C$, $60^{\circ}C$ was conducted and the result showed that sagging down did not occur at $20^{\circ}C$ but some solventless type, water dispersion type specimens at $40^{\circ}C$ had sagging down up to 10 mm. In addition, some solventless type, water dispersion type specimens had sagging down up to 55 mm at $60^{\circ}C$. For specimens to which asphalt seal and renovated asphalt sheet were layered over the outdoor concrete vertical surface, sheet sagging and sagging down occurred up to 50 mm in water dispersion specimens after three month later since the construction in summer.

Quality characteristics of brown rice boiled with medicinal herbs extract for diabetes prevention (당뇨병 예방을 위하여 한약재 추출액으로 제조한 현미밥의 품질특성)

  • This study was to investigate the quality characteristics of brown rice mixed with white rice and boiled in hydrothermal extract of the medicinal herbs which was effective for diabetes in order to suggest a way of taking the rice everyday in Korean dietary life. The moisture content of the cooked rice was decreased with an increase of brown rice addition. The moisture content was same at Herbs extract ($H_2$). The physical properties of Herbs extract ($H_1$)and Herbs extract ($H_2$) showed a similar tendency. The hardness of the control, 100% of white rice, was lowest. The hardness was increased with increase of brown rice addition. The springiness, cohesiveness and gumminess tended to be decreased with increase of brown rice addition, while the chewiness was increased with increase of brown rice addition. In chromaticity, $H_1$ and $H_2$ revealed a similar trend. The color value L was decreased with increase of brown rice addition. The value a was decreased with increase of brown rice amount. On the contrary, the value b was increased with increase of brown rice amount. In the sensory test result of the cooked rice by using $H_1$, the appearance, taste, texture and the overall preference exhibited a tendency to decreased with increase of brown rice addition. The incase was similar to the rice cooked with $H_2$ and the overall preference showed a similar tendency, being highest at the sample added with 30% of brown rice.

The Quality characteristics of sponge cake added with the ingredients of Sagoonja-Tang (사군자탕(四君子湯) 재료를 첨가한 스폰지 케이크의 품질특성)

  • This study was carried out to determine the functional works and basic ingredients of Sagoonja-Tang on sponge cake. The experimental groups consisted of 6% mixtures of five (Ed-confirm the number) kinds powders : S1 for Sagoonja-Tang powder, S2 for Panax ginseng, S3 for Poria cocos, Koidz, S4 for Atractylodes macrocephala, and S5 for Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. The volume of sponge cake somewhat decreased after adding the ingredients, and the volume differences in order from highest to lowest, were control>S1>S3>S2>S4>S5. In the microbiological quality test, viable cell counts were high in control groups of sponge cake, and the numbers of viable cell for control sponge cake reached to $9{\times}10^7CFU/g$ on the 7th day of storage, and decreased to $2.5{\times}10^5CFU/g$ on the 10th day of storage. All sponge cakes added with ingredient's powder showed pretty low viable cell counts. Especially, the group S5 showed the lowest counts of $1.2{\times}10^2CFU/g$ on the 7th day of storing. In the texture analyses of sponge cake, All groups showed higher degree of hardness, gumminess and chewiness than SC. The antioxidative activity of the Sagoonja-Tang's ingredients was measured. The POV value measured was S5>S4>S3>S2 >S1>control in order of highest to lowest. In sensory test, the overall acceptability of sponge cake was from highest to lowest S3>SC S2>S1>S5>S4.

A Study on Recycling Plan for the Dehydrated Sludge of Water Treatment Plant (탈수 처리된 정수장 슬러지의 재활용 방안 연구)

  • Water treatment plant sludge occurred in sedimentation and inverse wash process is generally disposed by ocean dumping or reclamation after dehydration processing using mechanical or natural dry method. Recently, ocean dumping of sludge is limited actually by London Convention. Physical, chemical, and geotechnical characteristics of water treatment plant sludge were analyzed by experiments. The possibilities for recycling of the dehydration sludges as materials for covering sanitary landfill were examined. Experiments performed with sludges mixed with general soil to improved the sludge properties are the hydrometer analysis, the liquid and plastic limit test, the specific gravity test, the compaction test, and the unconfined compression test. The value of ${\gamma}_{dmax}$ is increased and OMC(Optimum Moisture Content) is lessened with mixed sludge. The value of maximum compressive strength and friction angle are increased and the cohesion is decreased with mixed sludge. The ratio between sludge and soil in mixed sludge was 3:7 and the strength of mixed sludge showed $3.6kg/cm^2$. These results satisfy the regulation of U.S. E.P.A regarding materials for covering sanitary landfill.

Development of Adsorbent for Vapor Phase Elemental Mercury and Study of Adsorption Characteristics (증기상 원소수은의 흡착제 개발 및 흡착특성 연구)

  • Mercury, once released, is not destroyed but accumulates and circulates in the natural environment, causing serious harm to ecosystems and human health. In the United States, sulfur-impregnated activated carbon is being considered for the removal of vapor mercury from the flue gas of coal-fired power plants, which accounts for about 32 % of the anthropogenic emissions of mercury. In this study, a high-efficiency porous mercury adsorption material was developed to reduce the mercury vapor in the exhaust gas of coal combustion facilities, and the mercury adsorption characteristics of the material were investigated. As a result of the investigation of the vapor mercury adsorption capacity at 30℃, the silica nanotube MCM-41 was only about 35 % compared to the activated carbon Darco FGD commercially used for mercury adsorption, but it increased to 133 % when impregnated with 1.5 % sulfur. In addition, the furnace fly ash recovered from the waste copper regeneration process showed an efficiency of 523 %. Furthermore, the adsorption capacity was investigated at temperatures of 30 ℃, 80 ℃, and 120 ℃, and the best adsorption performance was found to be 80 ℃. MCM-41 is a silica nanotube that can be reused many times due to its rigid structure and has additional advantages, including no possibility of fire due to the formation of hot spots, which is a concern when using activated carbon.

Comparative Analysis of Cold Tolerance and Overwintering Site of Two Flower Thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis and F. intonsa (꽃노랑총채벌레와 대만총채벌레의 내한성과 월동처 비교 연구)

  • Two dominant thrips in hot pepper (Capsicum annuum) cultivating in greenhouses are Frankliniella occidentalis and F. intonsa in Korea. This study investigated their overwintering physiology. These two thrips were freeze-susceptible and suppressed the body freezing temperature by lowering supercooling point (SCP) down to -15~-27℃. However, these SCPs varied among species and developmental stages. SCPs of F. occidentalis were -25.7±0.5℃ for adults, -17.2±0.3℃ for pupae, and -15.0±0.4℃ for larvae. SCPs of F. intonsa were -24.0±1.0℃ for adults, -27.0±0.5℃ for pupae, -17.2±0.8℃ for larvae. Cold injuries of both species occurred at low temperature treatments above SCPs. Thrips mortality increased as the treatment temperature decreased and its exposure period increased. F. occidentalis exhibited higher cold tolerance than F. intonsa. In both species, adults were more cold-tolerant than larvae. Two thrips species exhibited a rapid cold hardening because a pre-exposure to 0℃ for 2 h significantly enhanced the cold tolerance to a lethal cold temperature treatment at -10℃ for 2 h. In addition, a sequential exposure of the thrips to decreasing temperatures made them to be acclimated to low temperatures. To investigate the overwintering sites of the two species, winter monitoring of the thrips was performed at the greenhouses. During winter season (November~February), adults of the two species were not captured in outside of the greenhouses. However, F. occidentalis adults were captured to the traps and observed in weeds within the greenhouses. F. occidentalis adults were also emerged from soil samples obtained from the greenhouses during the winter season. F. intonsa adults did not come out from the soil samples at November and December, but emerged from the soil samples obtained after January. To determine the adult emergence due to diapause development, two thrips species were reared under different photoperiods. Adult development occurred in all photoperiod treatments in F. occidentalis, but did not in F. intonsa especially under short periods. Tomato spotted wilt virus, which is transmitted by these two species, was detected in the weeds infested by the thrips during the winter season. These results suggest that F. occidentalis develops on weeds in the greenhouses while F. intonsa undergoes a diapause in the soil during winter.

  • 용수 다소비 산업으로 분류되는 제지공업의 특성 상, 용수사용의 억제 및 용수의 무방류화에 대한 압력이 증가되고 있는 반면, 초지환경은 날로 열악해지고 있는 실정이다. 한 예로써, 용지의 재활용율 및 재사용 비율이 증가함에 따라 원료의 저급화가 심 각한 수준에 이르고 있으며, 이러한 초지환경의 변화는 각질화되고 극도로 미세화된 다량의 미세섬유 발생 및 잡고지로부터 유입되는 점착성 이물질과 무기 충진제의 도입 등을 유발함으로서 제품의 물리적 성질 저하, 탈수부하 증가로 인한 생산성 저하, 약품사용량 증가 등을 초래하여, 결과적으로는 폐수처리장의 부하를 증대시킴과 동시에 청수사용량 및 폐수방류량을 증가시키는 악순환을 되풀이하게 된다. 국내 제지산업이 국제적 경쟁력을 갖추기 위해서는 제품의 증대가 필수적이나, 원료와 설비의존도를 감안할 때, 제품특성과 공정 분을 결정하는 습부공정을 정확히 파악하여 최적 운전조건을 확립하는 것이 가장 경제적이고 용이한 방법일 뿐만 아니라 전체 제지공정의 정정화에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 일정규모이상의 종이를 생산하는 제지공장은 거의 대부분 컴퓨터로 처리되는 온라인 공정조절 시스템(On-line process control system)을 구비하고 료의 도입에서부터 설비운전 및 제품의 기본적인 품질관리까지 실시간의 자동화되고 안정적인 운전과 관리시스템을 유지하고 있다. 그러나 전체 제지공정 중, 제품 물성과 운전조건의 대부분을 결정하는 습부공정만큼은 아직도 주기적인 분석이 행해지고 있지 않을 뿐만 아니라, 슬러리의 농도나 보류도 정도를 제이하면 분석항목 조차도 변변히 확립되어 있지 않을 실정이다. 이는 다량의 물 속에 존재하게 되는 용전물질(Dissolved solids, DS), 부유물질(Suspended solids, SS), 섬 유(Fibers), 무기 미 세분(Inorganic f fines), 그리고 투입되는 약품간에 발생하는 계면동전현상 및 이러한 현상과 최종 지제 품의 물성간의 상관관계에 대한 이해 정도나 경험 부족에서 기인하는 것으로 생각된다. 1 1983년 미국제지기술연합회(T APpI)의 제지용 첨가제 분과위원회(Papermaking A Additive Committee)에서는 습부공정의 적절한 조절을 위해 어떤 항목들이 필요하며 그 중요도는 어떠한가를 조사하였으며, 그 결과로 전하밀도, 제타전위, 보류도 및 여수 도, 무기 미세분 함량 등이 중요하다고 보고하였다. 그러나 지료의 전기적 특성을 실시 간으로 측정하는 기자재류가 최근에 이르러서야 도입되고 있는 실정이기 때문에 충분 한 현장적용 사례가 보고되지 못하고 있으며, 결과적으로 얻어진 정보와 최종 지제품의 물성 및 초지기 운전조건과의 상관관계를 확립하는 작업결과는 더욱 찾아보기 어렵다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는, 라이너지 제조공장의 습부공정에 투입되는 약품이 지료 의 전기적 성질, 즉 전하밀도와 제타전위에 미치는 영향을 모니터링함으로서 지료의 전기적 성질들과 습부 공정상태와의 상관관계를 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 순서로 진행하였다.

The Effect of Cement Milk Grouting on the Deformation Behavior of Artifcial Rock Joints (시멘트현탁액 주입에 의한 신선한 암석절리의 역학적 특성 변화)

  • Grouting has been practiced as a reliable technique to improve the mechanical properties of rock mass. But, the study of ground improvement by greeting is rare especially in jointed rock mass. In this study, joint compression test and direct shear test were performed on pure rock joint and cement milk grouted rock joint to examine the grouting effect on the property of rock joint. In the pure rock joint compression test, joint closure varied non-linearly with normal stress. But after cement milk grouting, the normal deformation characteristics of the joint was linear at the low normal stress level. As normal stress increased. deformation of the sample rapidly increased due to the stress concentration at the joint asperities. Peak shear strength of the grouted joint in low normal stress was higher than that of non-grouted joint due to the cohesion, decreased exponetially as the grout thickness increased. Thus after cement milk grouting, the failure envelope modified to a curve that has cohesion due to grout material hydration with decreased friction angle. Shear stiffness and peak dilation angle of the grouted joint decreased as the grout thickness increased. The peak shear strength from the direct shear test on grouted rock joint was represented by an empirical equation as a fuction of grout thickness and roughness mean amplitude.

Pattern of the Occurrence of Tomato spotted wilt virus in Jeonnam Province (전남 지역의 토마토반점위조바이러스병 발생 양상)

  • Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) was occurred at 8 areas including Naju, Suncheon, Younggwang, Youngam, and Shinan in Jeonnam province and the crops of Younggwang were severely damaged by TSWV. The hot pepper (Capsicum annuum), bell pepper (Capsicum annuum v ar. angulosum) and tomato (Solanum lycopersicon) in greenhouse and hot pepper in open field were infected by TSWV. Especially, hot pepper was severely damaged by TSWV infection. The survey data indicated that 1.1-30% in the nursery field at Naju, Suncheon, and Jangheung were infected by TSWV. Plants were infected by TSWV from early June to August. However, TSWV-infected seedlings from nursery fields showed the disease symptoms from May after transplanting. In pepper greenhouses, Frankliniella occidentalis was more dominant insect vector than Frankliniella intonsa. But in open field, the population of insect vector was opposed to greenhouse. In addition, the removal of weeds was able to delay the incidence of TSWV via side-window of greenhouse in Winter. Taken together, the control of weed and insect vector nearby side-window of greenhouse is important to prevent TSWV infection of plants.
