  • With development of internet, location-based service (LBS) is getting more interest in wire and wireless network, and many studies are in progress to provide various services such as GIS and GPS technique related to this. Today positioning and information providing service is accomplished by mobile communication companies' chasing the cell or building unique GIS system, but there is a lot of building-cost that must be endured to define boundary of collecting precise location information from chasing Cell and provide unique location information service. In this paper, it desires to make the database of location information with using GPS, relatively precise satellite positioning system, to cut the cost of building location information service, and to present service models such as children's positioning service that is to reduce the cost of building GIS by using Web Open API and provide location information of discrete object in real-time.

  • This paper applies Bayesian Markov inferred localization techniques for determining ZigBee mobile device's position. To evaluate its accuracy, we compare it with conventional technique, map-based localization. While the map-based localization technique referring to database of predefined locations and their RSSI data, the Bayesian Markov inferred localization is influenced by changes of time, direction and distance. All determinations are drawn from the estimation of Received Signal Strength (RSS) using ZigBee modules. Our results show the relationship between RSSI and distance in indoor ZigBee environment and higher localization accuracy of Bayesian Markov localization technique. We conclude that map-based localization is not suitable for flexible changes in indoors because of its predefined condition setup and lower accuracy comparing to distance-based Markov Chain inference localization system.

  • This paper describes indoor location estimation intelligent robot. Indoor location estimation function using RSSI based indoor location estimation system and wireless sensor networks were implemented in the robot. Spartan III(Xilinx, U.S.A.) was used as a main control device in the mobile robot and the current direction data was collected in the indoor location estimation system. The data was transferred to the wireless sensor network node attached to the mobile robot through Zigbee/IEEE 802.15.4, a wireless communication. After receiving it, with the data of magnetic compass the node is aware of and senses the direction the robot head for and the robot moves to its destination. Indoor location estimation intelligent robot is can be moved efficiently and actively without obstacle on flat ground to the appointment position by user.

  • 자동차 운반용 선박(PCTC) 건조 시, 자동차를 고정시키기 위해 약 5 만 여개의 Lashing Socket(6,700 Units PCTC 기준)이 소요되는데, 이때 사용되는 Lashing Socket 은 용도 및 형태에 따라 Hole Cup, Flush Cloverleaf Type Pot, Raised Cloverleaf Type Pot, D-Ring, Crinkle Bar 등으로 구분된다. 이와 같이 다양한 종류 중에서 Hole cup 타입이 전체 적용되는 Lashing Socket 의 약 80%에 이른다. 기존에 사용되고 있는 자동용접장치는 Hole Cup 이외에는 적용이 불가능하고, 자석을 이용하여 Hole Cup 의 상부에 위치시키는 방식이었기 때문에 경량화 및 다양한 종류 및 크기의 Lashing Socket 에 적용이 가능한 자동용접장비의 개발이 요구되었다. 본 연구에서는 두께가 다른 $\phi$140 Hole Cup 및 Flush Cloverleaf Type Pot, Raised Cloverleaf Type Pot 에 적용 가능하며, 분리형 용접캐리지와 Centering Template, Magnet Jig 로 구성된 연속 및 단속 용접이 가능한 자동용접장치를 연구 개발하였다. 이를 통해 종래 Hole Cup 전용 자동용접 캐리지의 문제점을 개선하여, 작업자가 Centering Template 과 Magnetic Jig 을 이용하여 캐리지를 Hole Cup 의 중앙에 위치시키기 용이하게 하였다. 이 같은 분리형 장치 구성을 통해 Hole Cup 중앙에 캐리지 고정 작업과 용접 작업을 분리함으로써 자동용접이 진행되는 도중에 여분의 Jig를 이용하여 다른 Hole Cup 에 용접 준비를 하여 연속적인 작업이 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구는 종래의 Hole Cup 전용 자동용접 캐리지의 문제점을 개선한 분리형 용접 캐리지를 개발함으로써 아래와 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 용접 캐리지를 포함하여 각 부분별 분리를 통해 작업자가 1 회 이동 시 필요로 하는 중량을 감소시켜 장비의 이동 및 제어가 쉽다. 2. Magnetic Jig 를 Centering Template 에 결합하고, Template 의 Jig 를 Lashing Socket 에 결합함으로써 손쉽게 Lashing Socket 의 중심부를 찾을 수 있으므로 용접 캐리지의 정확한 센터 고정이 가능하다. 3. 엔코더에 의한 1 회전을 검출함으로써, 작업 종료 후, 어떤 위치에서나 작업 재개가 가능하며 원점 복귀 작업이 불필요하다. 또한 엔코더에 의한 거리 설정으로 용접 속도에 상관없이 동일한 거리만큼 오버랩 용접이 가능하다. 4 디지털 방식으로 용접 조건의 입력이 가능하고, 용접 조건을 D/B 화 함으로써 Control Panel 상에서의 자동 제어가 가능하다. 이를 통해 연속 용접 또는 단속 용접이 가능하므로 다양한 형태의 Lashing Socket 을 자동 용접할 수 있는 효과가 있다. 이상의 결과를 통해 본 장비가 Fig.2 의 3 가지 종류의 Lashing Socket 용접에 효과적인 장비임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Ectopic eruption means the eruption of the tooth in an abnormal position due to multiple factors, which found most frequently in maxillary fist permanent molars, mandibular lateral incisors and maxillary permanent canines. Ectopic eruption of the maxillary first permanent molar occurs when the molar erupts with a more mesial angulation than normal, and locks itself in an atypical resorption on the distobuccal root of the second primary molar. The maxillary first permanent molar plays important roles for mastication and occlusion, so ectopically erupted maxillary first permanent molars should be relocated into proper position. Treatment options are separation by insertion of the brass wire or elastic rings, preparation of distal aspect of the maxillary second primary molar, using fixed or removable appliance with finger spring, and placement of space maintainer or space regainer after extraction of the maxillary second primary molar. We report three cases treated of ectopically erupted maxillary first permanent molar by re-setting of stainless steel crowns, placement of brass wire and using active plate. We could find out distal movement of maxillary first permanent molars into proper position and normal occlusion.

A Study on Treatment Target Position Verification by using Electronic Portal Imaging Device & Fractionated Stereotatic Radiotherapy (EPID와 FSRT를 이용한 치료표적위치 검증에 관한 연구)

  • It is very important to verify generated setup errors in cancer therapy by using a high energy radiation and to perform the precise radiation therapy. Specially, the verification of treatment position is very crucial in special therapies like fractionated stereotatic radiotherapy (FSRT). The FSRT uses normally high-dose, small field size for treating small intracranial lesions. To estimate the developed FSRT system, the isocenter accuracy of gantry, couch and collimator were performed and a total of inaccuracy was less than ${\pm}1mm$. Precise beam targeting is crucial when using high-dose, small field size FSRT for treating small intracranial lesions. The EPID image of the 3mm lead ball mounted on the isocenter with a 25mm collimator cone was acquired and detected to the extent of one pixel (0.76mm) after comparing the difference between the center of a 25mm collimator cone and a 3 mm ball after processing the EPID image. In this paper, the radiation treatment efficiency can be improved by performing precise radiation therapy with a developed video based EPID and FSRT at near real time

  • Recently various contents have been produced using the techniques that require high-performance computing process. A lot of services have been being producted as AR(Augmented Reality) service being combined with mobile information service that a moving user search various information based on one's location with. Mobile information service has a characteristic that it needs to get new information according to the location an user moves to. The characteristic requires a lot of communications when user search information moving to a different location. In order to make up for this drawback, we propose a prefetching technique based on speed and viewing angle in this paper. Existing prefetching techniques retrieve the following location of users considering moving speed and direction of the users. The data showed on the screen in AR is limited by the viewing angle of the mobile device. Due to the problems we discussed above, existing prefetching techniques have a demerit that they retrieve a lot more data than needed actually. We propose more efficient way of retrieving data with AR using the viewing angle of the mobile device. The method we propose reduces retrieval of unnecessary location using the users' speed, direction and viewing angle. This method is more efficient than the existing ways of retrieval because we don't need as many data.

Development of On-axis Raman Lidar System for Remotely Measuring Hydrogen Gas at Long Distance (원거리 수소 가스 원격 계측을 위한 On-axis 라만 라이다 장치 개발)

  • Hydrogen gas is an important and promising energy resource that has no emissions of pollutants during power generation. However, hydrogen gas is very dangerous because it is colorless, odorless, highly flammable, and explosive at low concentration. Conventional techniques for hydrogen gas detection are very difficult for measuring the hydrogen gas distribution at long distances, because they sample the gas to measure its concentration. Raman lidar is one of the techniques for remotely detecting hydrogen gas and measuring the range of the hydrogen gas distribution. A Raman lidar system with an on-axis optical receiver was developed to improve the range of hydrogen gas detection at long distance. To verify the accuracy and improvement in the range of detecting the hydrogen gas, experiments measuring the hydrogen gas concentration are carried out using the developed on-axis Raman lidar system and a gas chamber, to prevent explosion of the hydrogen gas. As a result, our developed on-axis Raman lidar system can measure a minimum hydrogen gas concentration of 0.66 volume percent at a distance of 50 m.

Stabilization of Short Juxta-articular Fractures Using a Circular External Skeletal Fixator System in Dogs (개에서 원형외고정장치를 이용한 관절주위 골절의 안정화)

  • Three dogs were admitted for repair of bone fracture. Case 1 (Maltese, 1.8 kg, intact female, 5-month-old) and case 2 (poodle, 3.0 kg, intact female, 6-month-old) had non-weight bearing lameness in the left pelvic limb, and case 3 (mixed, 3.3 kg, intact female, age unknown) had non-weight-bearing lameness in the left thoracic limb. On orthopedic examination, there was pain, crepitus, palpable instability and substantial soft tissue swelling on the affected side. No neurological deficits were identified. Radiographs revealed left proximal metaphyseal tibial and fibular fractures in cases 1 and 2, and left proximal metaphyseal radial and ulnar fractures in case 3. All cases had closed long-bone fractures with short juxta-articular fracture segments. Under fluoroscopic guidance, proper placement of the ring fixation elements was confirmed during surgery. Two or three rings were used to stabilize fractures with traditional circular external skeletal fixators (CESF). Postoperative radiographs showed acceptable alignment and apposition of the previously identified fracture. Time to radiographic union ranged from 5 to 14 weeks and there were no signs of implant failure or pin tract infection. Functional outcomes were excellent in all cases. CESF can be successfully used to reduce short juxta-articular fractures in which bone plates or external skeletal fixation cannot be applied.

  • In this paper, we present the 3DOF force-rei1ecting interface which allows to acquire force of objc'Ct within a a virtual environment. This system is comlxlsed of device, virtual environment model, and force-rei1ecting r rendering algorithm. We design a J DOF force reflecting device using the pc$\alpha$allel linkage, torque shared by W wire, and the controller of system applied by impedance control algorithm. The force reflecting behaviour i implemented as a function position is equivalent to controlling the mechanical impedance felt by the user.
