Untouched Camera Mouse System for The Disabled Person's Assistant Device (뇌병변 장애인 보조기기용 노터치 카메라 마우스 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose assistant device system based on camera that can perform general mouse function for the physically disabled. Most disabled people use special hardware and rely largely on foreign-made assistance device and the using rate of assistance device was very low because of high price. To solve this problem, we propose effective system based on web camera that can perform general mouse function and can raise accessibility for the physically disabled. In the proposed method, we firstly attach color marker on arbitrary device or body parts and then input the information of color using camera and extract coordinate information of color marker and finally, match processing information(coordinate) to special event(keyboard, mouse) and control various applications. The proposed method shows good performance in price and performance compared with other techniques by real field test.

  • 본 논문은 언어장애인을 위한 통신보조기기의 구현에 관한 연구이다. 통신보조기기에 적용되는 어휘는 사용자의 환경을 고려하여 선택되어야 하며 사용자의 환경에는 연령, 교육정도, 가족관계, 자주 이용하는 장소, 장애의 종류와 정도 등 사용자의 정신적, 육체적 능력을 모두 포함하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 손의 사용이 가능하고, 어휘와 의미심볼의 관게를 이해할 수 있으면서, 음성표현이 부자유스러운 어린이를 사용자로 한정하였다. 사용자에 의해 발훼된 어휘는 중심어휘와 특정환경을 나타내는 장소 도메인에서의 사용어휘로 나눌 수 있다. 중심어휘는 장소에 구애받지 않고 일상생활에서 널리 쓰이는 어휘를 말하며, 장소 도메인에서의 사용어휘로 나눌 수 있다. 중심어휘는 장소에 구애받지 않고 일상생활에서 널리 쓰이는 어휘를 말하며, 장소 도메인에서의 사용어휘는 특정 장소에서 빈번히 사용하는 어휘를 말한다. 발췌된 어휘는 휴대용 통신보조기기로서의 공간적 제약을 극복하기 위하여 어휘를 명사, 동사, 조사로 나누어 좀더 많은 문장을 만들 수 있도록 하였으며, 동적 시스템과 정적시스템의 장점을 고려하여 장소 도메인 별 어휘로 나누면서 의미함축의 원리를 도입하였다. 또한 어휘의 인식이 쉽도록 의미심볼과 어휘를 대응하여 표현하였고, 시스템의 기능 혹은 어휘분류에 따른 화면의 배경색을 다르게 설정하여 쉽게 사용자가 선택할 수 있도록 하였으며 , 사용자의 선택에 의해 구성된 문장은 화면표시관에 보여진 후 음성으로 표현하였다.

  • The research hypothesis of this paper is that education for smart device utilization has a positive effect on ability and utilization of smart devices for the disabled. The data for disabled of NIA's 2012 survey about digital divide is used, and the research method is "Heckman's 2-stage method" which considers the problem of selection bias. As a research result, this paper says that the disabled who had experience of education for smart device utilization have higher level of ability and utilization of smart devices. Also, a high level of education and family income, professional career and young generation have been very positive effect on the high level of ability and utilization of the disabled. The level of ability and utilization of the blind tend to be lower than those of the physically disabled. These results remind that the education for smart device utilization for the disabled is important and effective. And various contents and methods of education which are appropriate for the disability types should be developed.

  • The physical disabled are using various types of assistive devices and reading assistance device is have been researched and development. After all reading assistance device which being marketed present for the physical disabled's features is simply limited to turing the page. In this paper, Implemented prototype model of the reading assistance device for the physical disabled that is have designed to modify to improve the success rate of turing page and conjunction with mobile devices such as PDA to provide more convenient and useful features. And not only for the disabled then take a look at Universal design concept of view of the tool can be useful the public also.

A Study on the Economic Feasibility of Developing Daisy Book Based Reading Assistive Device for People with Disabilities (장애인을 위한 데이지 도서 기반 독서보조기기 개발의 경제적 타당성 연구)

  • In this study, feasibility analysis was performed by estimating the costs and effects of daisy reading auxiliary machine development project. The development cost of a Daisy player device, hardware/prototype and software, with only essential functions and with low price was estimated to be \307,101,664, and the production cost for a player was calculated to be \112,000. The development of Daisy viewer software and input/output assistive devices, application, was estimated to be \284,294,08, and an input/output device was set a price of \6,600. Based on these results, we looked at the economic ripple effects on the people with disabilities by promoting daisy - reading assistive device development project. The results of this study could be used to determine whether the project is to proceed. It is expected that it provides valuable information to actively cope with the changing business environment in the future.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the awareness and demands from assistive technology professionals on the service and propose practical methods for AAC service. This study selected subjects who are experts working in 10 assistive technology centers and survey was conducted among 69 assistive technology professionals. Results from this study are presented as follows. First, many assistive technology professionals learned AAC through school course. Second, there was a significant difference in the presence of using AAC experience regarding their general awareness of the understanding and interests on AAC. Third, many responders said that it is significant to provide AAC information and extend supports for AAC users and providers. They added that demands of AAC will grow in the future and engineering-based ACC instruments will take up the most market. This study will enable AAC service to offer basic data to establish more efficient supportive direction for AAC users and providers of the assistive technology center.

  • Most of information and communication assistance machinery and tools for disorder people of Occupied are machinery and tools for a visual impairment person and software, The things which can apply to only a specification disorder type and a specification disorder part are most, A special keyboard or a special mouse device of the handicapped person that disorder rank is comparatively the hardness makes the mainstream. It is reported in diffusion rate being very low if I compare this with total disorder population. I study new 1 plan which it can be applied to various disorder types and disorder parts through an intelligent special input device in a study of a book and, I designed this at the real standard that I could manufacture and incarnated it. In addition, I suggested this in a base for a design of a universal supporting input device and suggestion for the side of incarnation plan and a future study direction.

  • 일반적으로 컴퓨터에서 문서 작업을 하기 위해서는 사용자는 컴퓨터 화면을 볼 수 있는 시각과 키보드와 마우스를 조작하기 위하여 손을 사용해야 한다. 시각과 손이 불편한 대부분 장애우는 컴퓨터를 조작하기 어렵다. 장애우들을 보조해주는 정보통신 보조기기의 가격은 비싸며 기기 보급을 지원해주는 사업이 있지만, 사업에 선정되기 어렵다는 문제가 있다. 이 논문에서는 구글 홈을 이용하여 텍스트, 워드, 엑셀, 한글 등 다양한 응용프로그램을 음성을 이용하여 제어하기 위한 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 구글 어시스턴트가 다이어로그플로우로 설계한 인텐트를 웹 훅을 이용해 서버에서 컴퓨터로 접근하여 응용프로그램을 제어한다.

  • As Korea's per capita income increases, participation in various leisure activities to improve the quality of life of the disabled is encouraged. However, in order to participate in leisure activities, movement to the place where the leisure activities are performed must be preceded, so interest in means of transportation for leisure activities of the disabled is increasing. Since manual and electric wheelchairs have their respective disadvantages as means of transportation for leisure activities, interest in power assisting devices for wheelchairs combining the functions of electric wheelchairs with manual wheelchairs is increasing. In this study, the FDA approval process of wheelchair power-assistance products was investigated, and the characteristics of side-attached, front-attached, downward-attached, and rear-attached types of power assist devices for wheelchairs wheelchair in countries around the world were identified. These information will be of great use in helping the disabled and their assistants in Korea to choose the optimal product according to the patient's condition. More usability tests and clinical case studies are needed so that people with disabilities can choose a power assist device suitable for them.
