Study on the Dislocation Behavior during Creep in 12% Chromium Steel (12% Cr 강의 크리이프중 전위거동에 관한 연구)

  • In order to check the effect of dislocation behavior on creep rate in 12% Chromium steel, 14 samples of different compositions were examined by creep rupture test, and subgrain sizes, distribution of dislocations and precipitates were checked. And, authors reviewed the behaviors of dislocations, the formation and growth of subgrains and precipitates during creep. The results are as the following: 1) Creep rates calculated by .epsilon. over dot = .rho.bv show 10-15% higher values than actual data measured. However, authors conclude that the density and velocity of dislocations together with subgrain size are important factors governing deformation during creep in 12% chromium steel. 2) The values of the strength of obstacles in the mobility of dislocations are more clearly depended on the effective stress in the range of $10{\pm}5kgf/mm^{2}$ and increase with the increase of temperature. 3) Creep rates decrease with the smaller sizes of subgrains formed and can result in the longer creep rupture lives(hours). The smaller subgrains can be made by forming shorter free gliding distances of dislocations with very fine precipitates formed in the matrix during creep by applying proper alloy design. 4) Dislocation mobility gets hindered by precipitates occurring, which are coarsened by the softening process governed by diffusion during long time creep.

  • This paper describes the detection method of wire-like obstacles using millimeter-wave radar system. Passive sensor like CCD camera can be used for the detection of high power electric cables on the hills or mountains and it can give very good quality of obstacle target information. But this system is very limited to use by bad weather condition. The detection capability for different diameters of wire targets using millimeter radar system have been accomplished. To simulate the target on the moving helicopter, rotating targets are used with fixed radar system. In the experiment 11mm, 16mm and 22mm diameter of wires have been detected in single, two and three wires in one position. The detected signal from single wire was very clear on gray level image. Three wires placed very closely together could be recognized in range, cross range image plane. For two and three wires, blur effect due to mutual scattering effect is observed.

  • This paper describes the vision-based system to track road signs from within a moving vehicle. The proposed system has the standard architecture with particle filter due to its robust tracking performance in complex environment. In the case of tracking road signs in real environment, it has a great difficulty in predicting time series data by reason of an occlusion due to an obstacle and the rapid change of objects on roads. To overcome this problem and improve the tracking performance, this paper proposes the algorithm using an autoregressive model as an state transition model which has affine parameters as states and using robust statistics for determining occlusion due to obstacles. The experiments of this paper show that the proposed method is efficient for real time tracking of road signs and performs well in road signs under occlusion due to obstacles.

  • 게임에서 캐릭터가 현재 위치에서 목적지까지 경로를 탐색하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 특히, 오브젝트나 벽 등의 장애물들이 배치된 복잡한 게임 맵에서는 이러한 장애물을 회피하면서 가능한 최단 경로를 찾아 이동해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 복잡한 게임 맵 상에서 캐릭터가 목적지까지 최단 경로를 탐색하는 방법으로 유전자 알고리즘을 적용하는 방법을 제안한다. 유전자 알고리즘은 모집단(Population)을 구성하는 염색체의 인코딩 및 디코딩, 진화를 위한 연산자인 교차연산(Crossover)과 돌연변이연산(Mutation), 그리고 염색체를 평가하는 목적함수로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 염색체 구성을 시작 노드에서 목적지 노드까지의 전체 노드로 구성하기 보다는 캐릭터의 현재노드에서 이동할 수 있는 8방향만으로 구성하여 염색체의 크기를 줄였고, 이를 통해 염색체의 인코딩과 디코딩 연산 시간을 줄일 수 있었다.

The Effect of Bottom Gap Size of Submerged Obstacle on Downstream Flow Field (수중 장애물의 하부틈새 크기가 하류 유동장에 미치는 영향)

  • The coastal zone is a delicate and dynamic area in which the majority of a water kinetic energy is dissipated. These processes are subsequent to the transport of the beach materials. In comparison to emerged breakwaters, submerged structures permit the passage of some wave energy and in turn allow for circulation along the shoreline zone. This research aims to examine the beach erosion prevention capability of submerged structure by laboratory model. The flow characteristics behind a submerged obstacle with bottom gap were experimentally investigated at Re = $1.2{\times}10^4$ using the two-frame PIV(CACTUS 2000) system. Streamline curvature field behind the obstacle has been obtained by using the data of time-averaged mean velocity information. And the large eddy structure in the separated shear layer seems to have signification influence on the development of the separated shear layer. As bottom gap size increases, the recirculation occurring behind the obstacle moves toward downstream and its strength is weakened.

  • LiDAR is used in autonomous driving and various industrial fields to measure the size and distance of an object. In addition, the sensor also provides intensity images based on the amount of reflected light. This has a positive effect on sensor data processing by providing information on the shape of the object. LiDAR guarantees higher performance as the resolution increases but at an increased cost. These conditions also apply to LiDAR intensity images. Expensive equipment is essential to acquire high-resolution LiDAR intensity images. This study developed artificial intelligence to improve low-resolution LiDAR intensity images into high-resolution ones. Therefore, this study performed parameter analysis for the optimal super-resolution neural network model. The super-resolution algorithm was trained and verified using 2,500 LiDAR intensity images. As a result, the resolution of the intensity images were improved. These results can be applied to the autonomous driving field and help improve driving environment recognition and obstacle detection performance

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate the oxidation method to remove endocrine disrupting chemicals in reverse osmosis(RO) retentate for the reuse of wastewater effluent. Oxidation of organic pollutants was induced by the persulfate catalyzed by Fe(II). Affecting factors such as initial pH and ionic strength on the Fe(II) catalyzed persulfate oxidation were evaluated. $17{\alpha}$-ethynylestradiol (EE2) degradation efficiency decreased as pH and ionic strength increased. However, the efficiency increased as chloride ion concentration increased due to the influence of radical transfer.

  • 일반적인 로봇시스템은 자신이 이동해야 할 목표 지점을 자율적으로 생성할 수 없으므로 어떤 다른 시스템의 정보를 이용하여 주변을 탐색하거나 장애물을 인식하고 식별하여 자신의 제어전략을 수립한다. 그러므로 본 논문에서 제시한 시스템은 초소형 비행체를 이용하여 주위 환경과 자율 이동로봇의 위치 정보를 탐색할 수 있도록 시스템을 구성하였다 이러한 시스템의 성능은 로봇이 위치하고 있는 주위의 불완전한 정보로부터 적절한 결론을 유도해 낼 수 있어야 한다. 그러한 비선형적인 문제는 현재까지도 문제 해결을 위해 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 자율이동로봇의 행동 환경을 공간상의 제약을 받지 않는 비선형 시스템인 초소형 비행체에 극초단파(UHF16채널) 영상장치를 이용하여 호스트 PC로 전송하고 호스트 PC는 로봇의 현재 위치, 이동해야 할 목표위치, 장애물의 위치와 형태 등을 분석한다. 분석된 결과 파라메타는 RF-Module을 이용해서 로봇에 전송하고, 로봇은 그 데이터를 분석하여 동작하게 된다. 로봇이 오동작 또는 장애물로 인해 정확한 목적지까지 도달하지 못할 때 호스트 PC는 새로운 최단경로를 생성하거나 장애물을 회피 할 새로운 전략을 로봇에게 보내준다. 본 연구에 적용한 알고리즘은 초소형 비행체에서 탐지한 불완전한 영상정보에서도 비교적 신뢰도 놀은 결과를 보이는 A* 알고리즘을 사용하였다 적용한 알고리즘은 실험을 통하여 실시간으로 정보를 처리할 수 있었으며, 자율 이동로봇의 충돌회피나 최단 경로 생성과 같은 문제를 실험을 통하여 그 성능과 타당성을 검토하였다.delta}textitH]$를 도출하였다.rc}C$에서 30 ㎫의 압력으로 1시간동안 행하였다 소결한 시편들은 직사각형 형태로 가공하였으며 표면은 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$의 다이아몬드 입자로 연마하였다. XRD, SEM 및 TEM을 이용하여 상분석 및 미세조직관찰을 행하였다. 파괴강도는 3중점 굽힘 법으로 (3-point bending test) 측정하였다. 이때 시편 하부의 지지 점간의 거리는 30mm, cross-head 속도는 0.5 mm/min으로 하였고 5개의 시편을 측정하여 평균값을 구하였다.ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 혼합재료 3은 0.123$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 0.017$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 혼합재료 4는 0.055$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 0.016$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 혼합재료 5는 0.031$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 0.015$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 혼합재료 6은 0.111$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$, 0.020$\ell/\textrm{cm}^3$로 나타났다. 3. 단일재료의 악취흡착성능 실험결과 암모니아는 코코넛, 소나무수피, 왕겨에서 흡착능력이 우수하게 나타났으며, 황화수소는 펄라이트, 왕겨, 소나무수피에서 다른 재료에 비하여 상대적으로

DGPS service analysis in the korean coastal ferry route (국내 연안 여객선 항로에서의 DGPS 서비스 분석)

  • Based on the DGPS radio wave measurement in the coast of the yellow-sea, south-sea and east-sea, the DGPS service regions in the korean coastal ferry route are analyzed in this paper. The impact of obstacles on the propagation due to the archipelago and island regions are measured and analyzed in the point of service region. The ocean-based DGPS reference stations provide the wide DGPS ocean service regions with signal strength more than $40dB{\mu}V/m$ and signal-to-noise ratio more than 10 dB. Based on the overlapping of the service regions between the DGPS reference stations, the DGPS services with good quality are provided in the coastal ferry route segments. In case of regions where the propagation obstacles are scattered, the increasingly good service can be provided under conditions of output power reinforcement and antenna efficiency enhancement.
