This study examines the impact of factors that affect Hollywood movies' box office performance, using a sample of 149 movies that were ranked number 1 on the first week of release between 2014 and 2018. Such factors as production budget, the number of opening screens, the valence and volume of both critics and netizens, rating, distributor's power, remake, high season, genre are introduced to analyze box office performance. The result shows that the determinants of the US box office and the total box office are different. Considering the difference in budget by genre, the number of opening screens is not influential in the US box office performance of all genres with production budget of less than $100 million. The result suggests the need to refine more elaborated models for future research on box office performance.

Recently, many information services allow users to collaborate to produce and use information. Sharing information is also important for users who have similar taste or interest. As various channels are available for users to share their experiences and knowledge, users' data have also been accumulated within the information services. This study collected movie lists made by users of IMDB service. Co-word analysis and ego-centered network analysis were adapted to discover relevant information for users who chose a specific movie. Three factors of movies including movie title, director and genre were used to present related movie information. Movie title is an effective feature to present related movies with various aspects such as theme or characters and the popularity of directors affects on identifying related directors. Genre is not useful to find related movies due to the complexity in the topic of a movie.

This study aimed to looked into the conversion of the genre, and the aspects of the transition in gramophone records that were based on classical novels. And also considered the orientations of the gramophone records that were based on classical novels. Followings had been found as the results of this study. First, there were 31 kinds of the gramophone records. All of them were based on the 10 kinds of Korean classical novels like a (심청전), (춘향전). Second, the gramophone records that were based on classical novels verified the original genre. And the plot were reconstituted center for enhancive the dialogues. Third, on one hand these gramophone records stuck to tradition of its original texts. and the other hand they pursued the light laugh without reference to the tradition of Korean classical novels.

The purpose of this study is to examine viewers' intentions to watch movies after viewing online banner advertisements of movies, and verify the mediation effect of flow and association to research how the interactivity of movie banner advertisements influences viewers. For the study, trailer and advergame banners for three genres of movies were made, and an online survey was conducted with 146 adults. As a result, based on 5 hypothesis tests, the study enables us to conclude that the interactivity of the advergame banners results in a higher viewer intention of watching movies compared to trailer banners by inducing a flow experience among banner users not an association experience.

인간의 능력 중 가장 주목할 만한 것은 언어를 습득하고 그것을 이용하여 서로 의사소통을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 모든 언어에는 그 언어만이 가지는 특수성뿐만 아니라 공통적으로 존재하는 보편적인 특성이 있다. 이것 외에도 언어 위에 입혀지는 사람의 목소리는 의사소통을 하는데 있어 상대의 심리를 파악하는 중요한 단서가 된다. 특히, 언어는 습득되어져야 활용되고 그 습득되어지는 환경에 영향을 받으며 이러한 환경에 따라 사람의 목소리, 억양 등이 변화하게 되는 것이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 음성신호 분석 기법을 적용하여 장르별 영화시청에 따른 시각적, 청각적 요인이 목소리에 미치는 영향을 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 장르별 영화를 시청한 후 성대 진동 및 음성에너지의 크기 변화를 측정하여 감정변화를 분석하는 실험을 수행하였다.

Recently Korean film industry has continuously experienced a rapid growth and expanded its influence to foreign countries. Accordingly, there have been numerous studies in various research areas to investigate the characteristics of the industry. In this study, we applied social network analysis based on the attributes such as genres, ratings, distributors, nationalities, sizes, and profitability to divide the movies into several clusters with respect to their similarity. Results suggested that the ratings and nationality rather than the genre are the major factors to divide the motion picture market into clusters and the profitability also varies much across the clusters. Furthermore, estimation of the diffusion model showed the positive relationship between the success of a movie and the word-of-mouth effect, while the relatively unsuccessful titles exhibited a monotonic decreasing diffusion pattern with the high initial demand and the early peak time.

A musical that combines singing, dancing, and acting is a popular musical drama created by the development of opera. These musicals are the cultural and industrial sectors that are commercially compatible with artistry and popularity. Musicals remind you of exciting and colorful live performances. This musical industry has been loved by the public as it was created not only on stage but also as a musical film. The film industry has been striving to express the musical's unique originality through film screens. In terms of acting, acting in musical films should be implemented to suit musical films. In order to do so, the characteristics of movie acting and musical acting will be understood at the same time and true musical film acting can be implemented on the screen when each genre is fused. In order to act as a musical film, it is necessary to understand the functional characteristics of each genre and apply the necessary functions on the spot.

This paper derives the mutual relationship between film and installation art through specific case studies about the point of the intersection of the two genres. It needs to find the relationship between art painting and photography and the relationship of silent film and the relevance of the work of art in the 1920s. After painting over the installation exploring the relationship of art and through the mise en scene of the film, ie, the screen image of the configuration and deployment, or cinematic work of art for the film can be found in the application of practices. First, in Chapter 2, this study works of art practices through the analysis of film and the interaction between the two genres based practices for secure sex. In Chapter 3 the movie 'Wonderful Life' and installation art work "hand memory" through the analysis of the two cases specifically for the point of intersection analysis. 'Wonderful Life' and 'hand' Remember each subject and conceptual work in terms of 'memory' that it is represented on similar, but, film and installation art genre caused by the difference in the way the media represented by the results of the different forms of otherwise appear. If so, this study film and installation art practices through the comparison of cases to derive mutual relationship by analyzing two cases in detail what each of the different looks at whether any similarity in that.
