A Study on the Index Estimation of Missing Real Estate Transaction Cases Using Machine Learning (머신러닝을 활용한 결측 부동산 매매 지수의 추정에 대한 연구)

  • The real estate price index plays key roles as quantitative data in real estate market analysis. International organizations including OECD publish the real estate price indexes by country, and the Korea Real Estate Board announces metropolitan-level and municipal-level indexes. However, when the index is set on the smaller spatial unit level than metropolitan and municipal-level, problems occur: missing values. As the spatial scope is narrowed down, there are cases where there are few or no transactions depending on the unit period, which lead index calculation difficult or even impossible. This study suggests a supervised learning-based machine learning model to compensate for missing values that may occur due to no transaction in a specific range and period. The models proposed in our research verify the accuracy of predicting the existing values and missing values.

  • Water reservoir is defined as a storage space to hold and supply filtered water and it's significantly important to manage water level in the water reservoir so as to stabilize water supply by controlling water supply depending on demand. Liquid level sensors have been installed in the water reservoir and the pumps in the booster station facilitated management for optimum water level in the water reservoir. But the incident responses including sensor malfunction and communication breakdown actually count on manager's inspection, which involves risk of accidents. To stabilize draining facility management, this study has come up with AI model that predicts changes in the water level in the water reservoir. Going through simulation in the case of missing data in the water level to verify stability in relation to the field application of the prediction model for water level changes in the reservoir, the comparison of actual change value and predicted value allows to test utility of the model.

Tidal Level Prediction of Busan Port using Long Short-Term Memory (Long Short-Term Memory를 이용한 부산항 조위 예측)

  • This study developed a Recurrent Neural Network model implemented through Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) that generates long-term tidal level data at Busan Port using tide observation data. The tide levels in Busan Port were predicted by the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration (KHOA) using the tide data observed at Busan New Port and Tongyeong as model input data. The model was trained for one month in January 2019, and subsequently, the accuracy was calculated for one year from February 2019 to January 2020. The constructed model showed the highest performance with a correlation coefficient of 0.997 and a root mean squared error of 2.69 cm when the tide time series of Busan New Port and Tongyeong were inputted together. The study's finding reveal that long-term tidal level data prediction of an arbitrary port is possible using the deep learning recurrent neural network model.

  • 지구온난화로 인한 기후변화에 따라 평균강수량과 증발량이 증가하며 강우지역 집중화와 강우강도가 높아질 가능성이 크다. 우리나라의 경우 협소한 국토면적과 높은 인구밀도로 기후변동의 영향이 크기 때문에 한반도에 적합한 유역규모의 수자원 예측과 대응방안을 마련해야 한다. 이를 위한 수자원 관리를 위해서는 유역에서 강수량, 유출량, 증발량 등의 장기적인 자료가 필요하며 경험식, 물리적 강우-유출 모형 등이 사용되었고, 최근들어 연구의 확장성과 비 선형성 등을 고려하기 위해 딥러닝등 인공지능 기술들이 접목되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 ASOS(동해, 태백)와 AWS(삼척, 신기, 도계) 5곳의 관측소에서 2011년~2020년까지의 일 단위 기상관측자료를 수집하고 WAMIS에서 같은 기간의 오십천 하구 일 유출량 자료를 수집 후 5개 관측소를 기준으로Thiessen 면적비를 적용해 기상자료를 구축했으며 Angstrom & Hargreaves 공식으로 잠재증발산량 산정해 3개의 모델에 각각 기상자료(일 강수량, 최고기온, 최대 순간 풍속, 최저기온, 평균풍속, 평균기온), 일 강수량과 잠재증발산량, 일 강수량 - 잠재증발산량을 학습 후 관측 유출량과 비교결과 기상자료(일 강수량, 최고기온, 최대 순간 풍속, 최저기온, 평균풍속, 평균기온)로 학습한 모델성능이 가장 높아 최적 모델로 선정했으며 일, 월, 연 관측유출량 시계열과 비교했다. 또한 같은 학습자료를 사용해 다층 퍼셉트론(Multi Layer Perceptron, MLP) 앙상블 모델을 구축하여 수자원 분야에서의 인공지능 활용성을 평가했다.

  • 유효우량 산정을 위하여 국내에서 주로 사용되는 모형은 NRCS-CN(Natural Resources Conservation Service - curve number) 모형으로, 유역의 유출 능력을 나타내는 유출곡선지수(runoff curve number, CN)와 같은 NRCS-CN 모형의 매개변수들은 관측 강우-유출자료 또는 토양도, 토지피복지도 등을 이용하여 유역마다 결정된 값이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 유역의 CN값은 유역의 토양 상태와 같은 환경적 조건에 따라 달라질 수 있으며, 이를 반영하기 위하여 선행토양함수조건(antecedent moisture condition, AMC)을 이용하여 CN값을 조정하는 방법이 사용되고 있으나, AMC 조건에 따른 CN 값의 갑작스런 변화는 유출량의 극단적인 변화를 가져올 수 있다. NRCS-CN 모형과 더불어 강우 손실량 산정에 많이 사용되는 모형으로 Green-Ampt 모형이 있다. Green-Ampt 모형은 유역에서 발생하는 침투현상의 물리적 과정을 고려하는 모형이라는 장점이 있으나, 모형에 활용되는 다양한 물리적인 매개변수들을 산정하기 위해서는 유역에 대한 많은 조사가 선행되어야 한다. 또한 이렇게 산정된 매개변수들은 유역 내 토양이나 식생 조건 등에 따른 여러 불확실성을 내포하고 있어 실무적용에 어려움이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는, 현재 사용되고 있는 강우손실 모형들의 매개변수를 추정하기 위한 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 제시하는 방법은 인공지능(AI) 기술 중 하나인 딥러닝(deep-learning) 기법을 기반으로 하고 있으며, 딥러닝 모형으로는 장단기 메모리(Long Short-Term Memory, LSTM) 모형이 활용되었다. 딥러닝 모형의 입력 데이터는 유역에서의 강우특성이나 토양수분, 증발산, 식생 특성들을 나타내는 인자이며, 모의 결과는 유역에서 발생한 총 유출량으로 강우손실 모형들의 매개변수 값들은 이들을 활용하여 도출될 수 있다. 산정된 매개변수 값들을 강우손실 모형에 적용하여 실제 유역들에서의 유효우량 산정에 활용해보았으며, 동역학파 기반의 강우-유출 모형을 사용하여 유출을 예측해보았다. 예측된 유출수문곡선을 관측 자료와 비교 시 NSE=0.5 이상으로 산정되어 유출이 적절히 예측되었음을 확인했다.

Deep Learning-based Rheometer Quality Inspection Model Using Temporal and Spatial Characteristics

  • Rubber produced by rubber companies is subjected to quality suitability inspection through rheometer test, followed by secondary processing for automobile parts. However, rheometer test is being conducted by humans and has the disadvantage of being very dependent on experts. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a deep learning-based rheometer quality inspection system. The proposed system combines LSTM(Long Short-Term Memory) and CNN(Convolutional Neural Network) to take advantage of temporal and spatial characteristics from the rheometer. Next, combination materials of each rubber was used as an auxiliary input to enable quality conformity inspection of various rubber products in one model. The proposed method examined its performance with 30,000 validation datasets. As a result, an F1-score of 0.9940 was achieved on average, and its excellence was proved.

Accident Detection System for Construction Sites Using Multiple Cameras and Object Detection (다중 카메라와 객체 탐지를 활용한 건설 현장 사고 감지 시스템)

  • Accidents at construction sites have a very high rate of fatalities due to the nature of being prone to severe injury patients. In order to reduce the mortality rate of severely injury patients, quick response is required, and some systems that detect accidents using AI technology and cameras have been devised to respond quickly to accidents. However, since existing accident detection systems use only a single camera, there are blind spots, Thus, they cannot detect all accidents at a construction site. Therefore, in this paper, we present the system that minimizes the detection blind spot by using multiple cameras. Our implemented system extracts feature points from the images of multiple cameras with the YOLO-pose library, and inputs the extracted feature points to a Long Short Term Memory-based recurrent neural network in order to detect accidents. In our experimental result, we confirme that the proposed system shows high accuracy while minimizing detection blind spots by using multiple cameras.

Remaining Useful Life of Lithium-Ion Battery Prediction Using the PNP Model (PNP 모델을 이용한 리튬이온 배터리 잔존 수명 예측)

  • In this paper, we propose a deep learning model that utilizes charge/discharge data from initial lithium-ion batteries to predict the remaining useful life of lithium-ion batteries. We build the DMP using the PNP model. To demonstrate the performance of DMP, we organize DML using the LSTM model and compare the remaining useful life prediction performance of lithium-ion batteries between DMP and DML. We utilize the RMSE and RMSPE error measurement methods to evaluate the performance of DMP and DML models using test data. The results reveal that the RMSE difference between DMP and DML is 144.62 [Cycle], and the RMSPE difference is 3.37 [%]. These results indicate that the DMP model has a lower error rate than DML. Based on the results of our analysis, we have showcased the superior performance of DMP over DML. This demonstrates that in the field of lithium-ion batteries, the PNP model outperforms the LSTM model.

Change Detection for High-resolution Satellite Images Using Transfer Learning and Deep Learning Network (전이학습과 딥러닝 네트워크를 활용한 고해상도 위성영상의 변화탐지)

  • As the number of available satellites increases and technology advances, image information outputs are becoming increasingly diverse and a large amount of data is accumulating. In this study, we propose a change detection method for high-resolution satellite images that uses transfer learning and a deep learning network to overcome the limit caused by insufficient training data via the use of pre-trained information. The deep learning network used in this study comprises convolutional layers to extract the spatial and spectral information and convolutional long-short term memory layers to analyze the time series information. To use the learned information, the two initial convolutional layers of the change detection network are designed to use learned values from 40,000 patches of the ISPRS (International Society for Photogrammertry and Remote Sensing) dataset as initial values. In addition, 2D (2-Dimensional) and 3D (3-dimensional) kernels were used to find the optimized structure for the high-resolution satellite images. The experimental results for the KOMPSAT-3A (KOrean Multi-Purpose SATllite-3A) satellite images show that this change detection method can effectively extract changed/unchanged pixels but is less sensitive to changes due to shadow and relief displacements. In addition, the change detection accuracy of two sites was improved by using 3D kernels. This is because a 3D kernel can consider not only the spatial information but also the spectral information. This study indicates that we can effectively detect changes in high-resolution satellite images using the constructed image information and deep learning network. In future work, a pre-trained change detection network will be applied to newly obtained images to extend the scope of the application.

  • In the automotive industry, the development of automobiles to meet safety requirements is becoming increasingly complex. This is because quality evaluation agencies in each country are continually strengthening new safety standards for vehicles. Among these various requirements, collision safety must be satisfied by controlling airbags, seat belts, etc., and can be defined as post-crash safety. Apart from this safety system, the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) use advanced detection sensors, GPS, communication, and video equipment to detect the hazard and notify driver before the collision. However, research to improve passenger safety in case of an accident by using the sensor of active safety represented by ADAS in the existing passive safety is limited to the level that utilizes the sudden braking level of the FCA (Forward Collision-avoidance Assist) system. Therefore, this study aims to develop logic that can improve passenger protection in case of an accident by using ADAS information and driving information secured before a collision. The proposed logic was constructed based on LSTM deep learning techniques and trained using crash test data.
