The purpose of this study is to rediscover the value of form in fashion design by developing a new perspective of design appreciation. By examining and modifying the theories of Wolfflin and Belong, this paper tries to of for a new perspective for analyzing the characteristics of form in fashion designers' works. The three new perspective, Flat & Rounded, Closed & Opened and Part & Whole, can be used to analyze the formative aesthetic character of Vionnet's and Dior's works. Ten of Vionnet's and eleven of Dior's representative works selected and applied Delong's visual priority diagram to analyze their character. Vionnet and Dior, emphasized form and construction in their design and applied geometric shapes in their works. The main differences between Vionnet and Dior is that Vionnet's work transforms from geometric shapes in 2-dimentional space to drapery shapes in 3-dimensional space, Dior's work displays geometric shapes in 3-dimensional space. Vionnet created new formative art through the relationship between the clothes and human body. Vionnet's work has distinctively different qualities depending on whether the space is 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional showing transposition of form. In 2-dimensional space, Vionnet's works consist of triangles, rectangles and circles which are 'flat' and 'closed' in quality. These transform to solid forms by draping bias fabrics, which have a 'rounded' and 'open' quality. Dior tended to show artificial form rather than the natural lines of the body which is very different with Vionnet. Dior created clothes by using solid geometric form such as spheres, prisms, cylinders, pyramids and cubes in 3-dimensional space, which were visualized through constructive technique such as dart manipulation, boning, gathering, tucking, pleating, shirring and layering. Dior's works have their own form which does not relate with body shape. So his Works have a 'rounded' and 'closed' quality.

Various materials, depending on the personality of the artist, are required for contemporary art. Thus, it is necessary to decipher the expressive intentions of the artist and characteristics of the materials required for the conservation of such art. The purpose of this study is to analyze the causes underlying the deterioration of sculptures made from soap and to determine the ideal hygrothermal environment required to stably exhibit and store these artworks. Furthermore, we aim to maintain the long-term structures of the artworks in accordance with the changing expressions and intentions of the artist. Our analysis confirmed that the extracts of the soap sculptures were composed of glycerin and that the sculptures were sensitive to humidity. Moreover, we determined that a relative humidity (RH.) of approximately 60~65% made for an appropriate hygrothermal environment required to preserve the sculptures. We also preserved each work in various ways by applying appropriate preservation treatment, and found that the optimum preservation environment for soap sculptures was a temperature of 20±2℃ and a RH. of 60±5%.

The development of digital technologies has changed the paradigm of an information-oriented society. Accordingly, the media-art and the net-art using digital media have been developed more interactively. Under the this influence, various experimental works using digital media are being produced and having a try to combination of art and digital on the network. In this paper, we looked into the relation between characteristics and playful of the net-art and analized the relation among interactive, network characteristics and intuitive play implemented on the net-art. Based upon these analyses, we intend to offer new aesthetic experiences through playful expression for humorous emotion on a traditional character, Dokkaebi.

Stop-Motion Animation is the work that gives lives to the objects. In order to give lives to objects and to form story line to persuade the audience, it is important that the reason of choice of color, material, and texture has something to do with the narratives. For this study, among the Garri Bardin's animation, the ones with good representation of the objects have been chosen: Conflict (1983), Fioritures (1987), and Adagio (2000). With these animations, I would like to look for the meaning of existence of the objects, and to consider the importance of the relationship between the types of objects that are represented and the narratives.

The purpose of this study is to compare a supposedly "pot boiler", Sanctuary and Sanctuary: The Original Text and examine the fact that Horace Benbow in The Original Text is a more complicated and many-sided character who has suppressed desire, Oedipus complex, sense of guilt for a long time, until he came to confront Temple-Popeye case. Since literary narration means unconscious procedure, Horace's incestuous love for his step daughter and Oedipal relation reveals Faulkner's own psychology. In this sense, The Original Text serves as a matrix of many of Faulkner's major novels in terms of themes, characters, and the relationship between past and present. Among these novels are The Sound and the Fury, As I Lay Dying, and Flags in the Dust. Faulkner, while writing about his own world creating Yoknapatawpha County, tries to portray characters with artistic value through whom he wanted to express the deep anxiety and turmoil of the 1920s. Starting with Horace Benbow, Quentin Compson, Darl Bundren and young Bayard Sartoris can be doubling through his major works, conveying author's profound despair in the context of modern world.

The paper is to assess the recent changes in Architectural Artworks system in two regional districts, Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and to propose policies for further improvement. We focused on four aspects: overall pass rate, top-ranked artists' pass rate, proportion of artists ever passed, genre proportion artworks. It is observed that quality of artworks has improved, market monopolization has been eased, and entry to the market has become more active. However, sculptures accounted for the majority. Public art is gradually changing from 'decorative art' to 'site-specific art', and seeking harmony between architecture and surrounding landscape. To keep pace with this new trend, more institutional efforts should be made: fund raising to induce artwork supplies; introducing life-span concept to secure removal and deformation of artwork; imposing artists' follow-up services; imposing penalties against poor management; and authorizing the committee to choose exhibition sites.

This study made an attempt to apply and meaningful research of the analysis of the scene with the actual creative work about the contradictory structure and the love of duality appeared in the Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". The researcher set up the meaning of versus (對) between the contradictory structure and the duality of love. So I analyzed the duality of love appeared on the creative performance named "Romiet & Julio zwei Versus". With the Laban's behavior analysis, the analyzing instruments were separated into four parts as the body, the effort, the space and the shape. As a result of the analyzing, the duality of love in the original work was the expression of the artist's pluralistic vision, and dramatic structure of homogeneity rather than the paradoxical contrast. After analyzing a creative work, the duality of love has been proven as an important factor with ultimately a new dimension of absolute balance.

본 논문에서는 현재 Jazz에서 사용되어지는 화성기법을 Pat Metheny의 작품인 "Bright Size Life"를 통해서 알아보았다. D Major Scale이 선율에 주로 사용된 본 작품은 A 부분에서는 선율이 완전 5도의 음정으로 발전 되었고 B부분에서는 장7도의 음정을 이용하였다. 화성은 중간에 D Minor Scale의 Bb/A가 사용되어서 Modal InterChange기법도 나타나고 있다. B부분에서는 G/A, F/G의 Constant Structure가 나오고 있다.

본 논문에서는 현재 Jazz에서 사용되어지는 화성기법을 Pat Metheny의 작품인 “Question & Answer”를 통해서 알아보았다. D Minor Pentatonic Scale이 선율에 주로 사용된 본 작품은 Intro부분에서는 Quater Voicing이 사용되었다. A 부분에서는 Line Cliche와 D Minor Scale과 D Harmonic Minor Scale의 Diatonic Chord를 사용하였지만 A Aeolian Mode적인 기법이 A부분 셋 번째 단에서 사용되어 Modal적인 분위기도 연출 하였으며 B부분에서는 John Coltrane이 자주 사용하였던 3 Tonic 기법이 사용되면서 동질의 화성이 일정간격으로 움직이는 Constant Structure기법도 사용되었다.
