Development of an Indented cylinder broken rice separator (원통형 홈 쇄미 선별기의 개발)

  • 본 연구에서는 정밀 쇄미 선별 시스템을 개발하기 위하여 원통형 홈 쇄미 선별기의 시작품을 제작하고 이것의 설계인자와 운전인자에 따른 성능 분석을 수행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 원통형 홈 쇄미 선별기의 시작품은 홈의 직경이 작은 선별원통을 상단에, 홈의 직경이 큰 선별원통을 하단에 장착하는 2단형으로 설계 제작하였다. 각 단의 trough에는 스크류 컨베이어를 설치하였으며, 원통의 회전 속도와 trough의 각도 및 원통의 수평각을 변경시킬 수 있도록 하였다. 홈의 크기가 작은 상단에서 쇄미를, 홈의 크기가 큰 하단에서 준완전립을 선별하도록 하였다. 2. 원통형 홈 쇄미 선별기의 원통 회전속도가 증가하면 처리 용량이 증가하며, 이 속도에 따른 최적의 trough 각이 존재하는데, 본 실험에서는 회전 속도 35rpm에서 trough 각 37$^{\circ}$, 45rpm에서 55$^{\circ}$, 55rpm에서 73$^{\circ}$로 분석되었다. 3. 원통형 홈 쇄미 선별기의 공급율이 증가할수록 선별효율과 수거율(준완전립+쇄미)은 급격히 감소하지만, 순도(준완전립+쇄미)는 완만히 증가하였고, 완전립의 수거율과 순도는 95%이상을 유지하며 일정한 경향을 보였다. 본 실험 범위에서는 원통형 홈 쇄미선별기의 선별효율은 각 공급율에서 공히 원통의 분당 회전수 35rpm, trough 각 37$^{\circ}$에서 최대치를 나타내었다. 이 최적 조건에서 공급을 400-800kg/h 범위의 선별효율 평균치는 70% 정도로 분석되었다.

Effects of Geometry and Imperfection of a Small-sized Groove on Stress Distributions in the Vicinity of the Joined Region of an ABS Part with a Thin Wall (기저부에 생성된 작은 홈 형상과 결함이 박벽이 포함된 ABS 재료로 제작된 제품의 결합 영역 응력 분포에 미치는 영향)

  • The geometry and the defect of the groove of the part provoke a sudden change of stress in a local region. The objective of this paper is to investigate the effects of the geometry and the imperfection of a small groove on stress distributions in the vicinity of the joined region for the ABS part with a thin wall using a three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA). Several types of groove are designed to improve joining characteristics in the vicinity joined region. The imperfection model of the small-sized groove is obtained from observation of deposition characteristics of a fused deposition modeling process. Local stress distributions in the vicinity of the joined region are predicted by the FE model with refined meshes. The influence of the angle and the imperfection of the groove on appearance regions of the maximum stress and distributions of the defined principal stress for different loading conditions is examined using the results of FEAs. Finally, a proper design of the groove is proposed to improve joining characteristics between the substrate and the ABS part.

Analysis of the TCP performance over IEEE1394 based Home Networkings (IEEE1394 기반의 홈 네트워킹에서의 TCP 성능 분석)

  • TCP typically offers reasonable end-to-end performance to users regardless of the bandwidth and error characteristics of particular network technology, The robustness of TCP has contributed to its success in the internet environment. The role of communications is already well established in the office environment. With the advent of cheap, affordable broadband communications and the increasing complexity of consumer goods, it seems natural to extend the network into homes. In-home networking means a high-speed communication among the digital appliances within a home. Introduction of application over high-speed home network using TCP/IP protocol is increasing. The integrated environment of internet and home network is demanding as well. We have validated TCP model over high speed home network environment, investigated the throughput behavior of TCP over IEEE 1399 home networks, and evaluated a potential solution for high performance of TCP over IEEE 139t home networks. The simulation model has produced several interesting results in the performance of TCP over IEEE 1394 home network.

  • Currently, so many approaching methods are being developed to optimize the antenna size. In this paper, We fabricated Inverted-F type antenna attaching lumped components to solve the limitation of antenna size. Through experiments, a basic Inverted-F type antenna was fabricated and satisfied the adequate radiation pattern. After this, we researched the effect of antenna varied by matching circuit consist of chip type resistor, inductor, and capacitor. Using that elements, the antenna was matched at aim frequency. The proposed antenna's size is $7\;{\times}\;24\;mm$ that is very small size against the resonance frequence. Measuring the developed antenna, Its return loss was -18dB. Thus, this antenna can be used for Z-wave systems.

  • In this paper, a new co-planar waveguide ultra-wideband aperture is designed. The designed antenna consists of a rectangular aperture on a determined ground plane and a mushroom shaped stub. The mushroom-shaped stub, which is simple, convenient to analyze and optimise, has less parameter. This antenna has compact aperture size $21.1{\times}8.1mm^2$, designed on FR-4 substrate with dielectric constant of 4.3, thickness of l.5mm. CPW fed planar antenna has the advantages of wide-bandwidth, low-cost and easy interaction with the radio frequency front end circuitry.

  • 무선랜에서는 작은 셀 크기로 인해 노드들의 이동에 따른 빈번한 핸드오프가 이루어진다. 그래서 무선랜에서는 지속적인 통신 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방법으로 모바일 아이피와 같은 방법을 개발하고 있다. 모바일 아이피는 모바일 노드가 한 장소에서 다른 장소로 이동할 때 IP 주소의 변경 없이도 이동할 수 있도록 해준다. 그러나 모바일 아이피는 긴 시간의 등록과정과 연결 재설정 때문에 시간지연이나 패킷 손실과 같은 오버헤드를 발생시킨다. 따라서 무선랜의 QOS(Quality Of Service)를 향상시키기 위해서 Mobile IP 의 핸드오프 시간을 줄여야만 한다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 핸드오프 지연 시간을 감소시키는 기법을 제안한다. 제안기법의 기본 아이디어는 모바일 노드의 이동 네트워크를 예상하여, 미리 패킷 포워딩을 수행하는데 있다. 우리는 각 모바일 노드들에게 connection proxy table 정보를 추가하였다. 그리고 이 테이블 정보를 이용함으로써 모바일 노드들은 홈에이전트와 포린에이전트에 COA(Care of address)를 미리 등록하는 것이 가능해졌다. 그 결과로 이동 노드들은 홈 네트워크를 완전히 벗어나지 않고도 핸드오프가 이루어져 지속적인 서비스가 가능하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 기법이 기존 Mobile IP 와 비교해 볼 때 핸드오프가 이루어지는 동안 비 연결 시간을 줄일 수 있다는 것을 실험결과를 통해서 확인할 수 있었다.

Evaluation of accumulated particulate matter on roadside tree leaves and its metal content (가로수 수종별 잎의 미세먼지 축적량 및 금속 원소 함량 평가)

  • It is known that different plant species have ability to deposit different amounts of particulate matter (PM) on their leaves and plants can absorb heavy metals in PM through their leaves. Heavy metals in PM can have toxic effect on human body and plants. Therefore, PM on different roadside trees at Chungbuk national University including box tree (Buxus koreana), yew (Taxus cuspidate), royal azalea (Rhododendron yedoense), and retusa fringetree (Chionanthus retusa) was quantified based on particle size (PM>10 and PM2.5-10). The metal concentration in PM accumulated on leaves was analyzed using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectroscopy. In this study, the mass of PM>10 deposited on the surface of the tree leaves ranged from 6.11 to 32.7 ㎍/㎠, while the mass of PM2.5-10 ranged from 0 to 14.8 ㎍/㎠. The royal azaleas with grooves and hair on the leaf surface retained PM particles for longer time, while the yews and box trees with wax on leaf surfaces accumulated more PM. The PM contained elements in crustal material such as Al, Ca, Mg, and Fe and heavy metals including Cu, Pb and Zn. The concentration of elements in crustal material was higher in the coarser size, while heavy metal concentration was relatively higher in the finer size fraction. The Mn, Cd, Cu, Ni, Pb, and Zn concentrations of leaves and PM2.5-10 were significantly correlated indicating that PM was taken up through tree leaves.

Effects of different sizes of Hydroxyapatite/$\beta$-Tricalcium phosphate particles on vertical bone augmentation (수직골 증대술에서 $\beta$-Tricalciumphosphate/Hydroxyapatite 골 이식재 입자 크기의 영향)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of different sizes of $\beta$-TCP/ HA particles on vertical bone augmentation using titanium mesh in the cranium of rabbits. Materials and methods: Six white rabbits weighing 5kg were used. Four circular grooves of 6mm diameter were made by trephine, and five small holes were drilled in the inner surface of each circular gooves. Different sizes of grafts (small 0.3 - 0.5 mm, medium 0.5 - 1.0, large 1.0 - 2.0 mm) were placed respectively in the experimental groups. Titanium mesh (height 3 mm, width 6 mm) was placed. After 8weeks healing period, the rabbits were euthanized, and the specimens were prepared for histological findings. New bone formation and remaining graft area were measured to calculate the ratio of areas occupying the inner space of titanium mesh. Mann-Whitney U-test and Wilcoxon signed rank-test were used for statistical analysis ($\alpha$ = .05). Results: The experimental groups with $\beta$-TCP/HA graft showed a significantly higher new bone formation (P = .003). Comparing different sizes of $\beta$-TCP/HA, there was no statistical difference in terms of new bone formation. The vertical bone formation (i.e. new bone and graft area) was significantly greater in $\beta$-TCP/HA groups (P = .001). In comparison between different sizes of $\beta$-TCP/HA, medium size group had significantly greater area than large particle size group (P = .039). Conclusion: The use of $\beta$-TCP/HA with titanium mesh showed a higher vertical bone formation, particularly the medium sized $\beta$-TCP/HA particles (0.5 - 1.0 mm) produced better results in vertical bone augmentation.

  • Ubiquitous computing supports environment to freely connect to network without restrictions of place and time. This environment enables easy access and sharing of information, but because of easy unauthorized accesses, specified security policy is needed. Especially, ubiquitous sensor network devices use limited power and are small in size, so, many restrictions on policies are bound to happen. This paper proposes double-key based light weight security protocol, independent to specific sensor OS, platform and routing protocol in ubiquitous sensor network. The proposed protocol supports safe symmetric key distribution, and allows security manager to change and manage security levels and keys. This had a strong merit by which small process can make large security measures. In the performance evaluation, the proposed light weight security protocol using double-key in ubiquitous sensor network allows relatively efficient low power security policy. It will be efficient to ubiquitous sensor network, such as smart of ace and smart home.
