  • Modern radars such as the phase array radar can handle various tasks by generating a beam from a phased array antenna. Radar can be used for miscellaneous applications such as surveillance, tracking, missile guidance etc. Previous radar systems could handle only one task at a time. As such, multiple radars were required to perform simultaneous tasks. Multi-function radars can perform many tasks using only one radar system. However, the radar's resources are limited in this instance. To efficiently utilize time, it is necessary to properly schedule tasks in the radar's timeline. In this report, we investigate the efficiency of different scheduling tasks.

  • Recently, a GIS has been applicable to the most important computer applications such as urban information systems and transportation information systems. These applications require spatial operations for an efficient management of a large volume of data. In particular, a spatial join among basic operations has the property that its response time is increased exponentially according to the number of spatial objects included in the operation. Therefore, it is not proper to the systems demanding the fast response time. To satisfy these requirements, the efficient parallel processing of spatial joins has been required. In this paper, the efficient method for creating and allocating tasks to balance statically the load of each processor in a parallel spatial join is presented. A task graph is developed in which a vertex weight is calculated by the cost model I have proposed. Then, it is partitioned through a graph partitioning algorithm. According to the experiments in CC16 parallel machine, our method made an improvement in the static load balance by decreasing the variance of a task execution time on each processor.

  • 모바일, IoT, 데스크탑의 컴퓨팅 자원을 통합한 환경에서 다중 작업을 처리하는 연구가 진행되고 있다. 통합된 컴퓨팅 자원(Integrated Computing Resources)에서 다중 작업(Multi-Job)을 처리할 경우에는 실시간으로 발생하는 작업 부하 및 대규모의 컴퓨팅 능력이 요구된다. 또한 사용자에게는 단일 작업 처리 시간과 유사한 작업 처리 속도를 제공해야한다. 기존 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 작업 처리 연구에서는 고성능의 컴퓨팅 자원을 이용하여 단일 작업 처리 속도를 향상시키는 연구는 진행되었으나 다중 작업 처리에 대한 연구는 미흡하다. 본 논문에서는 통합된 컴퓨팅 자원에서 두 개 이상의 작업을 수행하여 작업 처리량을 향상 시키는 다중 작업 스케줄링(MJS-MM)을 제안한다. MJS-MM은 서브미션된 작업을 분할(Decomposition)하고 가용 컴퓨팅의 성능기반 작업을 수행하여 총소요시간(Makespan)을 최소화 할 수 있도록 한다.

  • A multi-agent system is a system that aims at achieving the best-coordinated decision based on each agent's local decision. In this paper, we consider a multi agent-multi task assignment problem. Each agent is assigned to only one task and there is a completion probability for performing. The objective is to determine an assignment that maximizes the sum of the completion probabilities for all tasks. The problem, expressed as a non-linear objective function and combinatorial optimization, is NP-hard. It is necessary to design an effective and efficient solution methodology. This paper presents an approximation algorithm using submodularity, which means a marginal gain diminishing, and demonstrates the scalability and robustness of the algorithm in theoretical and experimental ways.

  • Each participant in building construction project requires their own workspace to execute their activities. In this environment, inappropriate workspace planning in construction site causes workspace conflicts which result in a loss of productivity, safety hazard and poor-quality issues. Therefore, workspace should be regarded as one of the most important resources and constraints have to be managed at construction site. However, current construction planning techniques such as Gantt chart, network diagram and critical path method have proven to be insufficient to workspace planning. This paper contains formalized process for workspace planning in 4D BIM environment to prevent workspace related problems in construction project. The proposed process in this paper represents workspace occupation status for each activity and suitable solutions for identified workspace conflicts by integrating workspace attributes and activity execution plan. Based on the result of this study, project manager will be able to prevent probable workspace conflicts and negative effect on project performance by devising appropriate workspace plan during preconstruction phase.

  • 고성능의 컴퓨터들이 많이 보급되었으며, 또한, 클러스터 시스템 기술의 발전으로 클러스터 시스템의 활용이 크게 늘고 있다. 이러한 고성능의 시스템을 사용하는 사용자들은 다수의 시스템에서 수행하는 작업들을 관리(실행, 모니터링, 삭제, 결과물 관리 등)할 때에 반복적인 작업들이 많이 존재한다. 그러므로, 이러한 반복적인 작업을 손쉽게 수행해 줄 수 있는 기능이 제공된다면 업무를 효율적으로 처리할 수 있을 것이다. 이 논문에서는 분산된 다수의 시스템에서 작업을 수행할 때 스케쥴러(예: PBS, NQS)와 작업을 수행하는 일을 대신해줄 수 있는 통합 작업 스케쥴러(CJS, Consolidation Job Scheduler)를 설계하고, 그 prototype을 구현해 보았다. 스케쥴러의 종류가 많기 때문에 여기서는 PBS와 NQS에 한정하여 구현하였다.

  • 워크플로우 매니지먼트시스템은 오늘날의 어플리케이션들의 처리를 위한 효율적인 워크플로우 설계와 수행을 가능하게 한다. 그러나 전체물리학, 생물학, 지질학과 같이 과학탐구에 목적을 둔 어플리케이션들의 경우 대용량의 데이터를 연산해야 하기 때문에 단일 컴퓨팅 자원으로는 단 시간내에 작업을 완료하기 어렵다. 클라우드 환경에서 워크플로우를 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서는 여러 자원을 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 분산 병렬처리가 필수적이다. 일반적으로 시스템의 마스터노드에서는 클러스터의 원격노드들에게 어플리케이션 수행을 위해 설계된 워크플로우에 맞게 작업들을 분배하게 되는데 이때 마스터노드와 원격노드의 큐에서의 대기시간과 원격노드에서 할당된 작업들을 위한 스케줄링 시간은 성능을 좋지 않게 만드는 원인이 된다. 따라서 본 논문은 클라우드 환경에서 원격노드에서 작업수행이전까지의 지연시간을 줄이기 위한 최적화 방법으로 컴퓨팅 자원 활용도를 고려한 작업들의 병합 기법을 적용해서 워크플로우의 처리 속도를 향상시킨다.

  • Providing the sufficient energy to the mobile device is essential to process the job in distributed wireless network. To solve the restrained conditions of energy problems of mobile devices, this paper suggests the efficient method of processing the distributed job using mobility management in wireless network. Energy consumption can be analyzed using the statistical model and required energy of processing the distributed job in mobile device can be predicted using the mobility management. Therefore, this paper suggests the reliable algorithm to process distributed job through the mobile devices with regular mobility and shows the efficiency of the suggested algorithm.

The Effect of Sensory Integration Program(Sensory Integration Therapy) after School on Functional Task Performance in School (방과 후 감각통합프로그램(감각통합치료)이 학교에서의 기능적 과제 수행에 미치는 효과)

  • Objective : This study is designed to identify effect of a sensory integration(SI) program provided to elementary school students as an after-school activity. The study is looking at both occupational performance components and school-task performance which is an area of occupational performance. Methods : SI program specially designed as an after-school activity was provided to three boys who are first- or second grade students of Y elementary school in Dae-Jeon city. The SI intervention was organized with 25 sessions and carried out for two months. One group pretest-posttest design was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the SI program. Measurements used are Short Sensory Profile(SSP), K-DTVP-2, and BOTMP for occupational performance components, and School Function Assessment for functional schooltask performance. Results : It is found that posttest scores were enhanced in all assessments SSP; BOTMP; K-DTVP-2; and SFA. Conclusion : Results of this study simply propose that sensory integration program designed as after-school activity may have positive effects on not only occupational performance components but also on school-task performance of elementary school student. Since sample size is too small, however, there is limitation to find statistical significance. Further researches testing large number of subjects are required to boost the finding of this study.

  • When you convert word processor files with large amounts of input data to PDF files in on/off line, current PDF conversion solutions do one of the source files to perform the conversion task in the Windows PDF virtual printer environment. Depending on the size of the original PDF file conversion speed to convert PDF to do a large amount of different and if you are performing a very slow speed. When you convert files to PDF in this sequence, depending on the capacity of the original file, PDF conversion rate is different, if automating a mass conversion to the PDF, the speed is very slow. In this paper, the PDF conversion which can use the Windows Terminal Server from one Windows Server when performing a PDF conversion processing of the source file, to create a multi-session Terminal, to perform the PDF conversion process at the same time was studied.
