Effects of Magnetized Water on Callus Formation and Plant Regeneration in Rice Anther Culture (벼 약배양에서 자화수가 캘러스 유기 및 식물체 재분화에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to investigate the effects of added magnetized water on the callus induction and plant regeneration in rice, 700G(G=Gauss) magnetized water were used. The callus in-duction and plant regeneration of rice in magnetized water treatment are different from the callus induction and plant regeneration in ionic water treatment. The rates of callus induction in magnetized water media were 27.3% in solid media and 15.4% in liquid which were compared to that of callus induction in the ionic water media 21 and 13.3%. Also plant regeneration frequency in the magnetic water media is 5.4% better than that of the ionic water media. And dissolved oxgen amount of magnetic culture media is from 0.1 ppm to 0.9 ppm more than that of ionic culture media. The pH value was increased with rising of water temperature, and the magnetic water was effected at increasing of pH value.

In Vitro Development of Vitrified Mouse Expanding/Hatching/Hatched Blastocysts (초자화 동결된 생쥐 팽창/탈출/완전탈출 배반포기배의 체내 발달)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the in vivo development rates of vitrified-thawed mouse expanding, hatching and hatched blastoc ysts(BL). In vitro fertilization produced blastocysts were vitrified in EFS40(40% ethylene glycol, 30% Ficoll and 0.3 M sucrose in phosphate buffer saline containing 10% FBS). Expanding a and hatching blastocysts were equilibrated in 20% ethylene glyco](EG) for 5 min. before exposure to EFS40 at 25°C for 1 min., they were then vitrified in liquid nitrogen. Hatched blastocysts which cultured in m-CR1 medium supple mented 0.4% bovine serum albumin on day 5. were equilibrated in 10% EG for 5 min. and then vitrified in EFS40 for 30 sec. After thawing, re-expanding blastocysts were transferred to recipients(3 day of pseudopregnant) on one or both uterine horns(6-8 embryos per a horn). Preg¬n nancy rates of recipients and implantation were a assccessed by autopsy on 15 gestation. The res¬u ults obtained in these experiments were summar¬1 ized as follows; 1) The pregnancy and live fetus rates, for vitrified expanding BL(77.8 and 25.0%) and hatching BL(77.8 and 26.4%)n vitro were not significantly difference in those of control BL (66.7 and 42.9%: 83.3 and 40.4%), respectively, 2) in vitro development of vitrified hatched BL was 34.0%. and 3) in vivo developmental rate of vitrified hatched BL was only 33.3%. These results suggested that proposed rapid vitrification p procedures used EFS40 cryoprotectant can be effectively performed in mouse expanding Ihatching blastocysts and that mouse blastocysts a after being hatched from zona pellucida can be successfully cryopreserved.

  • The present paper relates to an analysis into patent applications by most exemplary patent-filing countries using time series analysis for a patented technology in which washing water in a water purifier is changed to magnetization hexagon water beneficial to human body, particularly the patented technology being to a magnetization hexagon water producing technology in which a magnetizer is mounted at an inlet pipe into which washing water is introduced to a water purifier, whereby the washing water is changed into magnetization hexagon water that is beneficial to human body for hygienic maintenance and use of bidet and toilet. In view of patent application trends in magnetization hexagon water producing technology fields, it can be easily noted from the analysis that a large portion of patent applications for the magnetization hexagon water producing technology comes from Korea and Japan, while USA and European countries are decreasing the number of patent applications and applicants. Therefore, there is a constant need of continuously observing the patent-filing trends in Korea and Japan in light of protection of patent rights in businesses that utilize the magnetization hexagon water. In view of the fact that many researches on and developments of products related to magnetization hexagon water are expected in the future, relevant producers and research institutes may effectively utilize the present paper in industrialization and patent research of the magnetization hexagon water.

Effect of Low-Molecularization on Rheological Properties of Alginate (알긴산의 물성에 미치는 저분자화의 영향)

  • Partial hydrolyzing condition for low-molecularized alginate and rheological properties such as viscosity, solubility, emulsitying ability, oil absorption capacity, bile acids binding and metal ion binding of the low-molecularized alginates from the sea mustard ( Undaria pinnatifida) and giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera) were investigated. Alginate from sea mustard was regularly hydrolyzed with the increase of HCl concentration in the range of 0.2 N to 0.5 N and with the prolonged reaction time at $100^{\circ}C$. The molecular weight of alginate was decreased to a part of 100 after hydrolysis for 50 min with 0.3 N HCl. The ratio of mannuronate to guluronate was increased with the acid hydrolysis and total yield was estimated to be $75\%\~80\%$. Low-molecularization of alginate was featured in the apparent decrease of viscosity, whereas solubility, emulsifying ability, and bile acids binding ability were increased with the low-molecularization. Oil absorption capacity of the acid$\cdot$alkali soluble alginate was slightly higher than that of the water soluble alginate. Metal ion binding capacity was the highest in acid$\cdot$alkali soluble alginate, and decreased with the low-molecularization.

Magnetization and Magnetic Entropy Change in Superparamagnetic Co-Ferrite Nanoparticle (초상자성 코발트 페라이트 나노입자에 대한 자화 및 자기엔트로피 변화)

  • In order to the magnetization and magnetic entropy change for superparamagnetic ferrite nanoparticles, ultrafine cobalt ferrite particles were synthesized using a mircoemulsion method. The peak of X-ray diffraction pattern corresponds to a cubic spinel structure with the lattice constant 8.40 $\AA$. The average particle size, determined from X-ray diffraction line-broadening using Scherrer's, is 7.9 nm. The maximal magnetizations measured at 5 and 300 K are 24.3 emu/g and 17.2 emu/g, respectively. Superparamagnetic behavior of the sample is confirmed by the coincidence of the M vs. H/T plots at various temperatures. According to the thermodynamic theory, magnetic entropy change decreases with increasing temperature.

  • This paper studied on the influence of naval vessel shape on vertical magnetic field after the vessel was demagnetized. The triangular shape, the rectangular shape and circular shape were adaped from vessel's structual drawings. Magneto-static FEM analysis was performed to obtain the iduced magnetic field due to earth magnetic field for those shapes. During demagnetization process, magnetic field of residual magnetization was observed. The holizontal and vertical magnetic field were calculated depending on vertical bias magnetic field through magnetc component seperation. To demagnetize naval vessel ship, demagnetizing coils shoud be wound more finely in the vow and stern of the ship than it should be in the mid-part of the ship.

  • Magnetization of permanent magnet in the strong magnetic field is changeable. So the change of magnetization must be considered for the accurate analysis of the system with permanent magnets. But the hysteresis characteristice of permanent magnet cannot be represented in simple mathematical form. In this paper, Preisach model combined with finite element method which can describe the hysteresis phenomena is applied to analyze the permanent magnet system. To validate the method, it is applied to the force calculations between two magnets with different coercivities and the numerical results are compared with measured data.

  • 주유소, 공장주변의 하수 및 토양으로부터 Methanol 자화성 효모 7주를 분리하고 그중 생육이 왕성한 균주 2주에 대하여 동정을 행한즉 양주, 모두 Candida속에 속하는 것으로 추정되었다. 양주는 모두 ethanol 자화성을 가지고 생육에는 Biotin을 요구하였다. 배양특성은 최적온도 $28^{\circ}C,$ 최적 pH4~5이고 methanol 농도 1% v/v에서 증식이 양호하였고, 균체수율은 대소비 methanol에 대하여 30~40%에 달하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 종전의 X자형 임피던스 망을 갖는 Z-소스 인버터(X-ZSI)에 비해 부스트 성능을 향상시킨 변압기를 이용한 ZSI(X-STZSI)의 임피던스 망을 설계하였다. 사용된 변압기는 이상적인 변압기에 자화 인덕턴스를 고려한 모델을 이용하였다. 따라서 임피던스 망을 구성하는 변압기의 자화 인덕턴스와 커패시터 용량을 산정하는 방법을 함께 설명하고 PSIM 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증하였다.

Finite Element Analysis of the Electromagnetic System Considering the Rotational Hysteresis Characteristics (회전 히스테리시스 특성을 고려한 전자계의 유한요소 해석)

  • This paper describes an implementation of the rotational hysteresis analysis using the finite element method and a vector hysteresis model. The vector hysteresis model is extended from the magnetization-dependent Preisach model. The magnetization of each element is calculated for a given history of the rotating field. The lagging angle and the magnitude of the magnetization for an applied field are evaluated. The experimental results show that the magnetization characteristics of the magnetic materials under the rotating field can be analyzed accurately by the proposed method.
