  • 자유낙체란 자유로이 낙하하는 물체를 말한다. 즉 물체의 초기 운동 상태와 무관하게 중력의 영향으로만 자유롭게 낙하하는 물체를 말하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 공기의 저항을 무시하고, 수직방향으로 짧은 거리의 범위 내에서 고도에 의한 자유낙하 가속도의 변화가 없다고 가정한다. 이러한 가정 하에, 자동차가 수직 상 방향으로 출발하여 최고점에 도달하는 시간, 최대높이, 자동차가 출발 위치로 돌아오는 시간과 자동차의 속도, 자동차가 땅에 떨어질 때의 시간 및 속도에 대하여 알아본다.

  • In this paper, acceleration and pressure exerted on a human model were measured under a supersonic condition in a shock tunnel. In order to measure these in an interference-free environment, free-fall technique with an electromagnet and a three-dimensional iron-powdered human model was used. Free-fall experiment was conducted at Mach 4 and the force acting on the model was obtained by calculating the displacement from the flow visualization images.

  • This paper deals with the finite element model of the monitor fur the simulation of directional free drop tests such as the backward and vertex free drop as well as the associated free-drop experiment. The model was made for an unconditional stable solution fur the explicit integration algorithm. It was found through the comparison between simulation and experimental results that the general behaviors at the time of impact were observed to well correlate with each other in terms of acceleration, displacement, contact force and stress of monitor components.

  • This paper presents are experimental investigation to figure out slamming impact pressure and flow characteristics of a wedge type structure in free fall. The flow field has been obtained by 2-frame grey level cross correlation PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) method, the impact presure of free fall structure by a pressure acquisition system apply to Dewetron system. The angles between a model and the free surface are adapted $15^{\circ}$, $25^{\circ}$, $35^{\circ}$ and $45^{\circ}$ respectively. Velocity field of water exit has higher better than water entry. The impact pressure under the bottom of the model ha been appeared higher values at 15 degrees than 45 degrees, and also at P1.

The flow field has been obtained by 2-frame grey level cross correlation PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) method, the impact pressure of the free fall model by a pressure acquisition system(Dewatron). The angles between a model and the free surface are adapted $10^{\circ}$ and $20^{\circ}$ respectively. Velocity field of water exit has higher better than water entry. The highest point, P2 of impact pressure under the bottom of the model has been appeared about 6 % higher values at 20 degrees than 10 degrees.

A Piston Type Free-fall Corer(KORDI-FFC) (피스톤식 자유낙하 주상시료 채취기)

  • A new piston-type Free-fall corer (FFC) was developed for the sampling of core sediments in aquatic environments. The corer, named "KORDI-FFC", is the modified sampler of the existing FFX with an open barrel gravity corer. It was rested successfully on the muddy bottom in the Chinhae Bay and on the sandy bottom (Mz=3$\phi$) in nearshore areas around the Cheju Island. Several merits found in the unstrument are; $\circled1$ operation on a small vessel without winch and cable, $\circled2$ low cost of construction, $\circled3$ little disturbance of surface sediments during the sampling, $\circled4$ short round-trip time of sampling, and $\circled5$ simultaneous performance of other research works during the lowering of FFC.

  • The lifeboats of ship is necessary for protection of seafarer's safety. However, it have happened many accident on the Free-fall lifeboat. Hence, This study describes IMO's efforts and some solutions against constructional problem of Free-fall lifeboat regulated by SOLAS CONVENTION for prevention accident with lifeboats.
