Development of Mental Health Self-Care App for University Student (대학생을 위한 정신건강 자가관리 어플리케이션 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a mobile app for mental health self care of university student. User centered design is a research design that applies the subject's needs assessment, analysis, design, development, evaluation, modification and supplement to suit the subjects. In order to manage the mental health of university students, they consisted of four main areas of mental health problems: drinking, sleeping, depression, and stress. It is designed to enable self test content, analysis and notification of inspection results, and management plan for current status of each area. Based on this, I developed an Android based mental health self-care Application. The subject can enter his or her mental health status data to explain the normal or risk level for each result, and the subject can then select the appropriate intervention method that he or she can perform. In addition, we developed a mental health self care calendar that can display the present status of each of the four areas on a day by day basis, and the current status can be expressed in an integrated manner through animations and status bars. The purpose of this study was to develop a mental health self-care app that can be improved by continuous and improved programs.

  • With the economic growth, the quality of life of the individual is improving and interest in health is increasing. However, it is not easy for self-care for the modern people who are busy and the elderly who are uncomfortable. The purpose of this study was to develop a healthcare system that can more easily monitor the health condition of the patients. The ECG and pulse wave including the important health information that can be conveniently measured by the general public can be measured and the PTT and to monitor the health status of the circulatory system. To evaluate the performance of the implemented system, we measured PTT according to posture change and evaluated the possibility of monitoring arterial blood flow during daily life.

Correlation between Personal Competence of Health Care and Quality of Life among Middle-Aged Adults (중년기 성인의 건강관리역량과 삶의 질의 관계)

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationship between personal competence of health care(PCHC) and quality of life among middle-aged adults. Data were collected using questionnaires from 412 middle-aged parents of university student. There were significant differences in PCHC and quality of life according to educational level, family support, monthly income, exercise over 3times a week, subjective health status. However, religion and drinking made a differece only in PCHC on the other hand, sex and disease affected quality of life. All subdomains of PCHC had significant positive correlations with quality of life. Factors predicting quality of life among subdomains of PCHC were health perception, sociocultural relationship and socioeconomical involvement, which explained about 50.3%. These results indicate a need to develop programs to improve health perception, sociocultural and socioeconomical competence for middle-aged adults.

Factors Influencing Health Status by the salutogenic Theory of Radiologists (방사선사의 건강생성이론에 의한 건강상태 영향요인)

  • This study is based on the theory of salutogenesis, and investigates factors affecting the health status of radiologists who experience high stress and health problems in the rapidly changing medical environment. The study enrolled 379 radiologists working at hospitals in Daegu. A health structure model was established by applying the theory of salutogenesis. Sense of coherence had a direct effect on the health status of radiologists. Psychological stress, social support, and drinking were also influential factors, due to their mediating effect on the sense of coherence. Moreover, social support was also found to be lower when job stresses were higher. Hence, increased psychological stress resulted in lower levels of sense of coherence, social support and exercise. Taken together, results of this study indicate that effects on the sense of coherence have maximum influence on the health status of radiologists, and social support among general resistance resources is an important factor for enhancing sense of coherence. In addition to social support and health behaviors, researches involving various resources and the development of organizational strategies and health promotion intervention programs are required in future, to enable radiologists to cope with their stresses and improve health.

A Study on Health Status' Factors Affecting HRQOL in the Elderly Stroke Patients With or Without Sequela (노인 뇌졸중 환자의 후유증 유무에 따른 HRQOL 요인별 중요도 분석)

  • Objective : The main purpose of this study was to analyze factors affecting a health related quality of life(HRQOL) in the elderly stroke patients with(Group 1) or without(Group 2) sequela. Methods : This survey performed secondary analysis with 'the fifth korea national health and nutrition examination survey', and investigated 91 elderly stroke patients over 65 years. Results : The results were as followed: HRQOL and self rated health had a significantly lower in Group 1(p<.05). In all groups, HRQOL was affected by self rated health(${\beta}=0.39$), mental health, and medical health significantly(p<.05). In group 1, HRQOL was affected by mental health(${\beta}=0.45$), self rated health significantly(p<.05). In group 2, HRQOL was affected by medical health(${\beta}=0.45$), functional health, mental health significantly(p<.05). Conclusion : In order to improve the HRQOL of stroke patients during rehabilitative therapy, it is important that early detection and early intervention of depression and suicide, which affect mental health status, are important in the case of severe aftereffects. If the patient continues to support his/her current status regardless of aftereffects, he/she can improve the HRQOL with functional recovery of the stroke patient, and finally have a positive effect on the independence of the stroke patients.

Mobile Ubiquitous Healthcare System Using Wireless Sensor Network (무선센서네트워크 기반의 모바일 유비쿼터스 헬스케어시스템)

  • As growing up of elderly population, the interesting on healthcare system in normal life using W is increasing. An integrated u-healthcare service architecture with IEEE 802.11 and IEEE 802.15.4 based sensor network and code divisi(m multiple access(CDMA) public mobile telecommunication networks was designed and developed. Sensor nodes with electrocardiogram(ECG), body core temperature sensors are attached on the patients' body. The healthcare parameters are transferred to web server via CDMA mobile network or through existed LAN network. The existed LAN network is suggested to be used for continuous monitoring of patient's health status in hospital while mobile networks can be used for general purpose at home or outdoor where infra networks unavailable. This system enable healthcare personal to be able to continuously access, review, monitor and transmit the patients information whereever they are, whenever they want. And immediately check their status by using cellular phone and obtain detail information by communication with medical information server through CDMA. By using this developed integrated u-healthcare service architecture, we can monitor patients' health status for 24 hours.

  • 인구의 고령화와 생활패턴의 변화로 인하여 병원에 내원하여 진료를 받기가 힘들어졌다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 해소하기 위하여 가정내 화장실에서 소변 내 pH수치를 측정하여 안드로이드 어플리케이션으로 자신의 건강상태를 모니터링할 수 있고, 서버에 측정한 pH수치를 저장하여 안드로이드 어플리케이션에서 조회할 수 있으며, 응급상황을 판단하여 대처할 수 있는 헬스케어 토일렛 시스템을 구현하였다.

  • Recently, it has been increasing attention on health care that can provide remote medical service to an aging population, people with disabilities and people having a medical checkup periodically due to increasing people's average life span. Home health care system should provide reasonable cost, on-line basic health status monitoring, embedded basic medical helper function and intuitive interface. In this paper, we developed a prototype of 3G networked pulse measurement system that can detect pulse signal information from subject's fingertip using the optical sensor. The prototype had been analyzed in terms of abnormalities, feeling, timing and pulse counting accuracy. Finally we evaluated its suitability.

Assessment on Quality of Life: Based on Oral Health Conditions (구강건강상태에 따른 삶의 질 평가)

  • This study adopted two instruments, i.e. Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14: index of patient's subjective oral health impact) and Todai Health Index (THI: index of patient's subjective systemic health) The Purpose of this study was to determine potential effects of oral health upon systemic health and quality of life (QOL) and provide required basic reference data for developing oral diseases prevention program and public oral health improvement As a result, it may contribute to improving health and quality of life in local community. Analysis on OHIP for subjective oral health conditions revealed that there were significant differences among all categories of self-aware oral health conditions on statistic basis and good oral health group showed significantly higher total OHIP points (4.33) than any other group. Analysis on THI for subjective oral health conditions showed that there were significant differences among all categories of self-aware oral health conditions on statistical basis and very good oral health group got higher total THI points (3.83) than any other group. Analysis on QOL for subjective oral health conditions suggested that there were significant differences among all categories of self-aware oral health conditions but social category and good oral health group got highest total QOL points (3.39) of all groups.

  • 국내의 인구는 고령화와 함께 의료비 지출이 늘어나는 것은 혈압이나 당뇨와 같은 만성질환자 환자 비중이 높아졌기 때문이며 의료비의 절감 및 건강관리 향상을 위하여 본 연구에서는 스마트폰 점유율이 높은 안드로이드 OS를 기반으로 하여 건강관리 콘텐츠를 제공 하는 앱을 설계 하였다. 설계한 앱은 혈압계, 심전도 기기, 혈당계, 전자청진기 등을 이용하여 사용자가 자신의 건강상태를 안드로이드 기기에 전달하여 서버에 저장 하는 구동절차를 가지고 있으며, 서버에서는 LOG 정보를 이용하여 사용자가 원하는 서비스 요청을 통하여 사용자에게 맞는 건강관리 콘텐츠를 전달한다.
