For the current organizations, retaining executive members is one of the most important functions of human resource management. Given that importance, although executives' mobility becomes prevalent, most prior studies tended to focus on involuntary turnover of executive members. To fill this gap, the current theoretical paper suggests a model of executive voluntary turnover, drawing on the lierature of employee mobility and entrepreneurship. First, running a new business as a CEO negatively affects prior-firm performance, but collaboration between two firms mitigate the negative association. Second, spin-off positively affects prior-firm performance, but this is weakened as spin-off firm performance decreases. Finally, moving to a competitor negatively, while moving to a collaborator positively affects prior-firm performance.

The purpose of this paper is to review the relationship between organizational commitment, and voluntary turnover(intention to leave), and the moderating effects of personal factors(gender and occupation) on the relationship between organizational commitment and intention to leave. In order to verify and achieve the purposes mentioned above, questionnaire data are gathered and analysed from 458 employees in Daedeok Innopolis Venture Enterprises, Dae-jeon Metropolis, South Korea. Multiple regression and multiple hierarchical regression analysis are applied to test the proposed hypotheses: 1) the relationship between organizational commitment(affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment) and intention to leave, 2) the moderating effects of personal factors(gender and occupation) on the relationship between organizational commitment and intention to leave. Empirical survey's findings are as follows; First, affective commitment(AC) and continuance commitment(CC) are related negatively with intention to leave(IL), but normative commitment(NC) is not related significantly with IL. Second, gender positively moderates the relationship between affective commitment and intention to leave, and occupation negatively moderates the relationship between continuance commitment and intention to leave.
We construct a unique panel data by using Korean Economically Active Population Survey (KEAPS) from 2003 to 2007 to estimate the returns to different types of job mobility among men. By adopting Mincer(1986)'s method, we estimate the wage change to job mobility after controlling the sample selection bias. There are four different types of job mobility that are concerned in the study: (1) voluntary job-to-job changes without experiencing unemployment, (2) voluntary job changes with experiencing unemployment, (3) involuntary job changes due to layoffs, and (4) involuntary job changes due to discharges. Our findings indicate that Korean men who changed jobs without experiencing unemployment realized wage gains of 7% while those who changed jobs through unemployment period lost 10% of their wages. Among those who changed jobs involuntarily and went through unemployment, the workers who discharged from the previous jobs realized substantially greater wage loss.
This study examines job transition process and its lahor market performance by reasons of job separation, using the Employment Insurance DB(2000~07). The findings show that involuntary job changers lend to suffer greater loss in job spell and real wage than voluntary job changers, which seems to reflect their characteristics such as lower quality of job matching due to unsystematic job search, negative signaling effect in the labor market and decreasing availability of human capital in previous job. In addition, unemployment benefit eligible for involuntary job changers tends to prolong the period of unemployment, while increasing job spell in the following employment.

This study investigates factors affecting the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers of life insurance companies based on questionnaire about them. Since the response variable which is the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers is count data, it is analyzed by Poisson regression which is one of generalized regression. When work year in current company, which is direct influential factor on the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers, is controlled, affiliated corporation has been found to be the most influential factor. In addition, age, motivation to work as financial planner, monthly income, a number of average new contract per month, and final education have been identified to be important factors. If insurance solicitor's occupant organization is large company, the number of turnovers becomes small, but if the organization is general agent(GA), it becomes larger. When insurance solicitor's age is high, the number of insurance solicitor's turnovers are reduced. If the motivation to become a financial planner is due to acquaintance such as family and relatives, the number of turnovers becomes small.
The purpose of this study is to empirically verify the relationship of how job stress and job satisfaction of information security professionals affect turnover intention, a precursor of actual turnover. The moderation effect of organizational justice is also explored within these causal relationships. This empirical analysis used 150 responses from information security professionals within 4 different industries. The analysis result from survey responses shows that job stress increases turnover intention, and job satisfaction decreases turnover intention, and that interactional justice, a subordinate concept of organizational justice, has a negative moderating effect at the relationship between job stress and turnover intention. The moderating effect of interactional justice, which can reduce turnover intention with warm words from managers or colleagues even when information security professionals who respond to emergencies such massive incidents are with high job stress, is a piece of important knowledge for information security managers. To reduce voluntary turnover of information security professionals from the organizational perspective, making efforts to lower job stress and raise job satisfaction and interactional justice is necessary.
This study examines the effect of culinary employees' emotional labor on their emotional dissonance and turnover intentions and bow the emotional labor and emotional dissonance affect their turnover intentions and burnout to provide useful information and suggestions for the foodservice and hotel culinary training and on-site. The results are summarized as follows. First, as the emotional labor of workers such as representation of the act, conduct in-depth and emotional departure grew higher, they showed the higher perception of emotional dissonance. However, their spontaneous activities tended to decrease their emotional dissonance. Second, as the result of verifying the relationship between emotional dissonance and burnout, the higher emotional dissonance, the deeper burnout. Finally, the culinary workers' emotional dissonance influenced their turnover intention.
The present study examined the impact of work stress and job satisfaction on intention to leave among staff including social workers, nurses, and care workers. The study subject included 235 staff in a welfare organization that provides long-term care services. Data was analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings of the study show that work stress and job satisfaction affect intention to leave in the context of welfare organizations. Demographic variables were not the main focus of this study and thus these results are incidental. Staff with higher levels of work stress were more likely to think about leaving, while those with grater job satisfaction were less likely. There were several limitations in this study. Generalizability of the findings are limited to staff working in the province of Jeonnam. The results have important implications for the development of strategies to minimize turnover intention in long-term care. Reducing the intent to leave is desirable for issues of both cost reduction and quality of care. Managers could perhaps start to consider decreasing work overload assigned to staff. This study also provides some insight into the work status of new staff. Clearly this finding needs to be explored in further research studies. A more comprehensive model is likely required to adequately explain intention to leave the job.

The purposes of this study were to: a) provide evidence concerning the effects of emotional intelligence on job outcomes, b) examine the impacts of emotional intelligence on employee-related variables such as 'job satisfaction', 'organizational commitment', 'organizational performance', and 'turnover intention' c) identify the conceptual framework underlying emotional intelligence. A survey was conducted to collect data from foodservice managers (N=231). Statistical analyses were completed using SPSS Win (16.0) for descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test, correlation analysis, cluster analysis and AMOS (16.0) for confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The concept of emotional intelligence (EI) has been on the radar screens of many leaders and managers over the last several decades. The emotional intelligence is generally accepted to be a combination of emotional and interpersonal competencies that influence behavior, thinking and interaction with others. The main results of this study were as follows. The four EI (Emotional Intelligence) dimensions correlated significantly with age. The means of job satisfaction score were above the midpoint (3.04 point) scale. The organizational commitment score was above the midpoint (3.41 point) scale and was higher at 'loyalty' factor than 'commitment' factor. The means of organizational performance score were above the midpoint (3.34) scale. The correlations among the four EI (emotional intelligence) factors were significant with job satisfaction; organizational commitment, organizational performance and turnover intention. The test of hypothesis using structural equation modeling found that emotional intelligence produced positive effects on job attitude and job performance. Emotional intelligence enhanced organizational commitment, and in turn, managers' attitude produced positive effects on organizational performance; emotional intelligence also had a direct impact on organizational performance. This study has identified the effect of emotional intelligence on organizational performance and attitudes toward one's job.
