A company regards knowledge shared and used within a corporate organization as intellectual capital linked to corporate competences. A great deal of research has been conducted in the past to identify knowledge sharing among knowledge workers. Some papers focus on information technology for automated, efficient, and explicit knowledge sharing. Other papers emphasize the role of social networks to identify the flow of tacit knowledge. Though the role of CoP(Community of Practice) is emphasized to facilitate knowledge management among workers, it is not an easy task to identify the potential members of CoP without voluntary participation of the workers. In this study we adopt a social network approach to analyze knowledge propagation and to identify the potential members of CoP. We suggest a framework for classifying knowledge workers and the result of feasibility study.

Studies for a plants factory is progressing for cultivating various plants by the needs of the times and industry around world. However most studies is carried out only in lab sized plants factory. It does not consider an economic feasibility. The study for a large scale plants factory is very required to get an economic gain. In this paper we has been studying a smart farm factory based on ICT using the hydroponics ginseng. The smart farm factory is to extend a concept of the general plants factory to full automated factory. The factory can collect the information about growing of plants and automate operating and management of factory like the existing plants factory. Also it is the total plants factory management system, which analyzes the collected information for optimized growth and development of plants and applies the result to the system back.

In recent years, a life phenomenon using a workflow management tool in bioinformatics has been actively researched. Workflow management tool is the base which enables researchers to collaborate through the re-use and sharing of service, and a variety of workflow management tools including MyGrid project's Taverna, Kepler and BioWMS have been developed and used as the open source. This workflow management tool can model and automate different services in spatially-distant area in one working space based on the web service technology. Many tools and databases used in the bioinformatics are provided in the web services form and are used in the workflow management tool. In such the situation, the web services development and stable service offering for a sequence similarity search which is basically used in the bioinformatics can be essential in the bioinformatics field. In this paper, the similarity retrieval speed of biology sequence data was improved based on a Linux cluster, and the sequence similarity retrieval could be done for a short time by linking with the workflow management tool through developing it in the web services.

The collapse of a slope or cut embankment brings much damage to life and property. Accordingly, it is very important to analyze the spatial distribution by calculating the landslide susceptibility in the estimation of the risk of landslide occurrence. The heuristic, statistic, deterministic, and probabilistic methods have been introduced to make landslide susceptibility maps. In many cases, however, the reliability is low due to insufficient field data, and the qualitative experience and knowledge of experts could not be combined with the quantitative mechanical?analysis model in the existing methods. In this paper, new modeling method for a probabilistic landslide susceptibility analysis combined Bayesian Network with ontology model about experts' knowledge and spatial data was proposed. The ontology model, which was made using the reasoning engine, was automatically converted into the Bayesian Network structure. Through conditional probabilistic reasoning using the created Bayesian Network, landslide susceptibility with uncertainty was analyzed, and the results were described in maps, using GIS. The developed Bayesian Network was then applied to the test-site to verify its effect, and the result corresponded to the landslide traces boundary at 86.5% accuracy. We expect that general users will be able to make a landslide susceptibility analysis over a wide area without experts' help.
The application of object recognition technology has been increased with a growing need to introduce automated system in industry. However, object transformed by noises and shadows appeared from illumination causes challenge problem in object detection and recognition. In this paper, an illumination invariant object detection using a DoG filter and adaptive threshold is proposed that reduces noises and shadows effects and reserves geometry features of object. And also, rotation invariant object recognition is proposed that has trained with neural network using classes categorized by object type and rotation angle. The simulation has been processed to evaluate feasibility of the proposed method that shows the accuracy of 99.86% and the matching speed of 0.03 seconds on ETRI database, which has 16,848 object images that has obtained in various lighting environment.

The on-site sewage sludge vermicomposting equipment was designed and evaluated on the batch and continuous tests. The vermicomposting equipment was designed to consider the mechanization as well as automation. In terms of performance evaluation of equipment with continuous experiments, the highest treatment rate was found in the condition of 5mm in particle size and 10mm in e feeding height. Also, 20~25kg of earthworm per 50kg of sewage sludge was the most appropriate density of earthworm. In addition, the most effective separation of cast was found when the earthworm breeding box height was 80cm. The performance evaluation on equipment allowed the establishment of earthworm composting capacity of 2ton per a day with a size of $5{\times}3{\times}1m$ and the automatic control devices.
The images, which were acquired from various systems such as CCTV and Robot, include many human faces. Because of a rapid increase in visual data, we cannot process these manually; rather we need to do these automatically. Furthermore, companies require automatic security systems to protect their new technology. There are various options available to us, including face recognition, iris recognition and fingerprint recognition. Face recognition is preferable since it does not require direct contact. However, the standard 2-Dimensional method is limited, so Morphable Models may be recommended as an alternative. The original morphable model, made by MPI, contains a large quantity of data such as texture and geometry data. This paper presents a Geometrix-based morphable model designed to reduce this data capacity.
The demand for food rises proportionally as population grows. To be able to achieve sustainable supply of livestock products, efficient farm management is a necessity. With the advancement in technology it also brought innovations that could be harness in order to achieve better productivity in animal production and agriculture. Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) is a budding concept of making use of smart sensors or available devices to automatically and continuously monitor and manage livestock production. With this concept, this paper introduces a swine management system that integrates image processing technique for weight monitoring. This system captures pig images using camera, evaluate and estimate the weight base on the captured image. It is comprised of Pig Module, Breeding Module, Health and Medication Module, Weighr Module, Data Analysis Module and Report Module to help swine farm administrators better understand the performance and situation of the swine farm. This paper aims to improve the management in both small and big livestock raisers.
This paper presents mobile robot based down-scale mineral resources exploration test system for the USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) based exploration. The system emulates the actual exploration environment. Underneath the metal free test plate, a metal object is attached. A magneto-meter mounted mobile robot runs around on the plate to find the metal. The measured magneto-meter values are transferred to the host PC via wireless network. The system enables to improve the reliability of simulation as well as to help efficient exploration system design. Metal-detecting experiments were carried out to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed system.

Automated driving car is drawing attention as a seminal service representing 4th industrial revolution era based on 5G network, AI, IOT and sensor technology. automated driving car is expected to evolve into the final level which does not require driver's input. Drivers are able to consume new additional time in private space. Many industries started to compete to control these time and space. Media industry is expecting quite big change due to the introduction of automated driving cars. This research examines the impact of the media industry and social & institutional issues of automated driving cars based on depth interviews of experts. The introduction of automated driving cars is giving new opportunity for media industry as contents provider. Telcos and IT corporations are expected to compete each other to get the control of infotainment systems of automated driving cars. The reform of current regulations regarding car driving is pointed as important task to protect private information and the introduction of automated driving cars.
