VR게임은 VR 기기와 VR 게임이 다양해지고 사용자도 늘어가고 있는 추세에 맞춰 VR게임시장에 대한 전망은 긍정적임에도, 사용자측면에서의 제한사항은 여전히 개선되지 않고 있는 부분이 존재하고 있다. 이를 타파하기 위해 모바일게임시장이 확대되는 시점에서 게임에 새로 도입된 자동플레이 기능을 탑재한 VR게임이 개발이 확대될 때 해당 VR 게임에서 UI 디자인을 할 때 고려할 사항과 추후 연구 방향에 대해서 고찰하고자 한다.

This study analyzes the attitudes of users who use the automatic-play function of mobile-games. It also observes changes in different emotions to enjoyment. For the analysis, the Q methodology appropriate for the subjectivity study was used, and it classified two types of attitudes based on the analysis. After the classification, it defined the characteristic of each type based on Lazzaro's theory on classification of fun. Types with high rate of convenience feature dependency utilize automatic-play feature to play games for collecting and growth, and they prefer managing the game outdoors. Another type enjoyed the experience of problem solving through games. They want the process to be a good skill to possess in game-play. There was also a tendency to perceive oneself as the game's character. Both types were responded positively to using automatic-play to play mobile-games. This is expected to be used as important data for game production, leading to usability evaluation for analyzing the emotional sensitivity of mobile game users.

This paper presents an automatic back-light brightness control system for mobile displays. One of the most important factors in mobile display is the power consumption due to the limited and movable power source. More than 80% of power of the LCD display is consumed by LED bark-light unit (BLU). The target brightness also becomes higher because of its moving picture and high resolution image, so there are some side effects for not only excessive power consumption but also ergonomic inconvenience in dark environment. To prevent this discomfort and reduce power consumption, this paper proposes automatic brightness control (ABC) technique in mobile displays. Developed system contains TFT-LCD panel with built-in photo sensor, driver IC capable of controlling photo sensor, and BLU. Since the photo sensor array built in panel detects automatically outdoor ambient light intensity, the power of BLU in dark environment is reduced. Developed ABC system showed reduced power consumption of 50% in dark environment. We believe that the proposed system is very useful to control power of mobile TFT-LCD.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경으로 변화됨에 따라 사용자의 묵시적인 행위에 따라 반응하면서도 주의를 지나치게 집중시키지 않는 다양한 디스플레이에 대한 요구가 증가되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 액자형 앰비언트 디스플레이 시스템을 이용하여 사용자의 위치에 따라 사진을 내비게이션 하는 방법을 제안한다. RFID 센서와 초음파 센서를 이용하여 사용자 신원 및 디스플레이와의 접근거리를 인식하고, 사용자와 디스플레이의 근접도에 따라 보여 질 영상과 인터페이스의 상세도 레벨을 자동으로 정하게 된다. 사용자가 디스플레이로부터 아주 멀리 있는 경우에는 주의를 집중시키지 않도록 단순한 그림 액자의 기능을 제공한다. 사용자가 인터랙션 가능한 영역으로 진입하면 사용자와 관련된 사진을 보여주고, 사용자의 위치에 따라 TIP(Tour Into the Picture) 방법을 이용하여 사진을 3 차원 내비게이션 할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 터치 스크린을 이용한 메뉴의 직접적인 조작과 공중 마우스를 이용한 원격 메뉴 조작 또한 가능하도록 하였다. 뿐만 아니라 댁내의 응급 상황 정보 등을 전달 할 수 있도록 디스플레이 프레임 주위를 LED 를 이용하여 반짝일 수 있도록 설계 하였다.

Match-3 Game 은 스테이지 구성 및 난이도 설정이 중요한 게임이나 다양한 밸런스 요소로 인해 스테이지 구성에 중요한 요소인 난이도 설정에 많은 시간이 소요된다. 특히 게임을 플레이하는 유저가 재미를 느끼는 수준으로 난이도를 설정하는 것이 중요하며, 이를 자동화하기 위해 실제 유저의 플레이 데이터를 활용하여 사람과 유사한 수준의 자동 플레이 에이전트 개발이 진행되었다. 하지만 플레이 데이터의 확보는 쉽지 않기에 연구 방향은 플레이 데이터가 없는 강화학습으로 확장되고 있다. 스테이지 구성에 중요한 요소인 난이도를 설정하기 위함이라면 각 스테이지 간의 상대적인 난이도 차이를 파악하는 것으로 가능하다. 이를 위해 게임의 규칙을 학습한 강화학습 에이전트로 밸런스 요소의 변화에 따른 다양한 난이도의 스테이지를 50 회씩 플레이하여, 평균 획득 점수를 기준으로 스테이지 구성에 필요한 각 스테이지들의 난이도를 파악할 수 있었다.

Most of the match-3 puzzle games supports automatic play using the MCTS algorithm. However, implementing reinforcement learning agents is not an easy job because it requires both the knowledge of machine learning and the way of complex interactions within the development environment. This study proposes a method in which we can easily design reinforcement learning agents and implement game play agents by applying PPO(Proximal Policy Optimization) algorithms. And we could identify the performance was increased about 44% than the conventional method. The tools we used are the Unity 3D game engine and Unity ML SDK. The experimental result shows that agents became to learn game rules and make better strategic decisions as experiments go on. On average, the puzzle gameplay agents implemented in this study played puzzle games better than normal people. It is expected that the designed agent could be used to speed up the game level design process.

Recent advancements in camera communication (CamCom) technology using visible light exploited to use display as an luminance source to modulate the data for visible light data communication. The existing display-CamCom techniques uses the selected region of interest based camera capturing approach to detect and decode the 2D color coded data on display screen. This is not effective way to do communicate when the user on mobility. This paper propose the automatic display detection using Lambertian color segmentation combined with canny edge detection algorithms for CamCom in order to avoid manual region of interest selection to establish communication link between display and camera. The automatic display detection methods fails using conventional edge detection algorithms when content changes dynamically in displays. In order to solve this problem lambertian color segmentation combined with canny edge detection algorithms are proposed to detect display automatically. This research analysed different algorithms on display edge recognition and measured the performance on rendering dynamically changing content with color code on display. The display detection rate is achieved around 96% using this proposed solutions.

Rooivalk에 채택된 항전장착물은 프랑스의 Sextant가 주 개발자이며 3개의 다기능 디스플레이를 갖는 NVG 호환 G-Cockpit도 포함된다. Thales는 Topowl HMSD도 공급하는데 이것은 Denel사 Cumulus 공장에서 개발된 센서 터렛과 Pilkington Optronics와 공동개발한 Noctua PNVS와 연계된다. Rooivalk의 TDATS는 Topowl과 함께 작동하는 Cumulus사 Argos-780 EO 센서 터렛을 사용하고 있고 열상장비, TV카메라, 레이저 거리측정기, 레이저 표식기 그리고 자동추적기로 구성되어 있다.

기존의 스타일러는 옷 건조, 살균 기능을 가지고 있으나, 비용이 비싸며 공간을 차지하는 단점을 가지고 있다. 알림 기능을 가지는 스마트 옷장은 옷장위에 설치된 라즈베리파이 디스플레이에 간단한 날씨정보를 출력하여 그 날의 날씨정보를 시간소비 없이 간편하게 습득할 수 있으며, 한줄 뉴스를 통하여 그 날의 소식을 간편하게 알 수 있다. 또한 옷장 내부에 설치된 아두이노가 온습도 센서와 미세먼지 센서를 통제하여 옷장 내부의 온도, 습도, 미세먼지 농도를 디스플레이를 통해 알 수 있으며, 습도가 높거나, 미세먼지 농도가 높을 경우에 옷장 내부에 부착된 쿨링팬이 자동으로 작동하여 옷장 내부를 환기시킴으로써 습도를 낮추고 먼지, 냄새 등을 제거해주는 효과가 있다. 그리고 습도나 미세먼지 수치가 낮아지면 자동으로 쿨링팬의 작동은 멈춰진다. 또한 미세먼지, 온습도 값에 따라 3색 LED가 색이 변화한다. 이런 스마트옷장으로 바쁜 현대 사회에서 사용자들의 시간을 절약해주고 옷의 관리해줌으로써 편리함을 제공한다.
