Prediction of Lift Performance of Automotive Glass Using Finite Element Analysis (유한요소해석을 통한 자동차용 글라스의 승강성능 예측)

  • The performance of power window system was decided by driving characteristics of the window regulator part and reaction by the glass run. The performance of power window system usually has been predicted by experimental methods. In this paper, an analytical method using the explicit code was suggested to overcome the limit of the experimental methods. The friction coefficient of glass run was obtained by the friction test at various conditions and the Mooney-Rivlin model was used. Also, a mechanism of window regulator consisted of the fast belt system and the slip ring elements. And, we conducted the analysis considering characteristic of a motor and obtained the lifting speed of automotive glass with high reliability

Study on Hot Stamping of the Rotating Module Upper Plate for an Autonomous Vehicle Seat (자율주행 자동차용 전동회전시트 상부회전판의 핫스탬핑 성형에 관한 연구)

  • Seats in autonomous vehicles must be able to rotate to fully utilize the interior space. Generally, ultra-high strength steel is used for the rotation module because it should have high strength and high rigidity. In addition, the rotating parts are difficult to form because they have complex shapes. In this study, the upper plate of the rotating module, whose complex shape makes it difficult to form, was formed by applying the hot stamping method. The drawing method and the form-drawing method, which are generally used to form components of complex shapes, were compared. We showed that the form-drawing method increased the degree of freedom of the material flow to improve the formability, thus enabling the forming of the plate. In addition, the die and blank shapes were found to be important factors in determining the success of the hot stamping. The validity of the analysis results was confirmed through forming analysis and experiments.

  • 산업용 온수관련용 자동차용 등의 다양한 용도로 응용이 가능한 고기능성 세라믹 히터 제작을 위해 후막공정 기술을 적용한 적층형 세라믹 히터의 수요가 증가하고 있으며, 고열로 인한 변형의 우려가 있는 내열성 기판 제작에도 적층형 HTCC 세라믹 기판 적용이 확대되고 있다. 이러한 고내열성 세라믹 기판 제작을 위해서는 paste의 균일성, Low TCR 특성 및 세라믹과 paste 매칭성 확보가 중요한 요소이다. 본 연구에서는 W/Mo 함량비를 변화시켜가며 paste를 제조하여 비저항과 TCR 특성을 비교한 후 가장 낮은 값을 나타내는 조성을 선정하였다. 이 조성에 $Al_2O_3$, $Ta_2O_5$ 등의 첨가제를 사용하여 비저항 특성 개선을 위한 실험을 통해 우수한 고내열성 기판용 paste 조성을 확보하고자 하였다. 그리고 이 Paste를 적용하여 HTCC 그린시트와 매칭성 조건을 확인하고자 하였다.

  • 수분산 폴리우레탄 수지는 기능성이 뛰어나고 다양한 용도로 쓰임이 많기 때문에, 용제형 폴리우레탄 수지를 이용한 환경문제에 대처할 수 있는 대안으로 그 쓰임이 점차 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 수분산 폴리우레탄 수지는 용제형 폴리우레탄 수지에 비해 물리적 특성이 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 그래서 우수한 물리적 특성을 유지하면서 용제형 폴리우레탄 수지를 대체할 수 있는 환경친화성 폴리우레탄 수지에 대한 연구가 많이 이뤄지고 있다. 최근 산업환경 변화에 순응하는 환경 친화적 소재를 사용하여 자동차, 선박, 철도 등 수송용 인테리어 내장재를 구성하는 기술로서, 난연성 및 기계적 물성 유지 기술, 그리고 실내 쾌적감을 부여하기 위한 감성기술 및 심미적 요소를 부여하는 디자인 기술이 가미된 복합 기능화 기술개발이 요구되고 있다. 기존의 자동차용 시트 제품의 대부분은 습식 PU와 PVC를 사용하고 있고, 제조과정에서 용제와 가소제 사용 등으로 인해 환경적으로 많은 문제점이 있으며, 이를 대체하기 위한 노력이 많은 부분에서 이루어지고 있지만, 마땅히 대체할 소재를 찾지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서 제안하는 Frothing 기법을 이용한 친환경 foam 제조기술은 기존의 습식 PU foam과 PVC foam을 대체할 수 있는 기술로서, PUD foam의 기계적 물성 및 가공성이 보완된다면 상업적 용도로 많은 분야에서 활용될 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on Gear Forming Process for High Precision Automotive Seat Recliner (자동차용 고정밀 시트 리클라이너의 기어성형 공정에 관한 연구)

  • In the automotive seat industry, the use of a fine blanking press is important for manufacturing of high precision products. Among them, a gear part which is a main component of an automotive seat recliner is generally manufactured by fine blanking press. However, the use of conventional mechanical press has been increasing in manufacture of gear part because of low productivity of fine blanking press. In this study, new forming process is suggested to fabricate the gear part with high precision by using mechanical press. The effect of flow restriction die (FRD) which has the restriction of blank edge on dimensional accuracy is investigated by FE-analysis. FE-analysis results for different conditions of FRD indicated that FRD has high dimensional accuracy with the lowest roll-over and the highest perpendicularity of gear part. After application to fabrication of the gear part using mechanical press, the measured dimensional characteristic was compared with the required specification of final product. In addition, results of the performance test showed that the product fabricated by developed process satisfied the required strength and durability. The results show that the suggested forming process by using FRD and mechanical press can replace fine blanking on the viewpoint of dimensional accuracy and productivity.

  • 자동차용 천연가죽 시트의 제조 공정에서 크롬과 비크롬 Metalic 탄닝제, 식물성 탄닝제, 신탄(Syntan) 및 가지제(Fatliuor) 등의 종류와 함량에 따른 인장강도, 신장율, 정하중 신율, 잔류줄음율 등을 측정하여 특정하중에 따른 콜라겐 섬유 조직의 영구변형율과의 상관관계를 비교 분석해본 결과, 크롬 및 비크롬계 탄닝제에 비해 식물성 탄닝제를 적용하였을 때 조직의 변형율이 적었으며, 리틴닝 공정에서 아크릴계, 레진계 및 단백질계 신탄을 혼합 적용하였을 때 가죽의 배(Belly)부위의 물성 균일화 효과가 우수하였으며, 음이온성 가지제 9%를 사용하여 가죽에 유연성을 부여함으로써 조직이 치밀하고 변형율이 감소되어 내구성이 우수한 결과를 나타내었다.

  • An automotive ball joint connects the suspension system to the steering system and helps to enable rotational and linear motion between the two elements for steering. This study examines a ball joint used in medium and large-sized pickup trucks. Ball joints consist of a stud, socket, bearing, and plug. The main structural performance metrics of ball joints are the pull-out strength and push-out strength. These structural parameters must meet certain criteria to avoid serious accidents. Test and simulation methods are used to investigate the design requirements, but tests are time-consuming and costly. In this study, we modeled ball joints in SolidWorks and performed a finite element analysis in Abaqus to predict structural performance. The analysis was used to obtain the structural performance required for the static analysis of a 2D axisymmetric model. The uncertainties in the manufacturing of the ball joint were assumed to be the manufacturing tolerances, and the dimensional design variables were identified through case studies. The manufacturing tolerances at each level were defined, and the results were compared with experimental results.

Reduction of the Roll-Over of the Sector Tooth for Achieving Improved Recliner Locking Performance (리클라이너 결합 성능 향상을 위한 섹터투스의 롤오버 저감 방법)

  • In this study, effective forming methods for reducing the roll-over of a sector tooth, which is a main component of an automotive seat recliner, are proposed. Due to the large amount of roll-over, accurate contact between the inner gear of a sector tooth and the outer gear of a pawl tooth cannot be normally achieved; thus sensitivity and safety for the passengers decrease. To overcome the aforementioned drawback, we investigated the effect of flowcontrol forming methods involving local embossing die, coining punch, and VIC (Variable Inverse Clearance) on the roll-over depth by FE-analysis and an experiment. The results of a fine-blanking experiment for verifying the proposed methods showed that VIC type is decidedly superior from the aspects of reduction of roll-over and tool strength of the sector tooth.
