Analysis on the Correction Factor of Emission Factors and Verification for Fuel Consumption Differences by Road Types and Time Using Real Driving Data (실 주행 자료를 이용한 도로유형·시간대별 연료소모량 차이 검증 및 배출계수 보정 지표 분석)

  • The reliability of air quality evaluation results for green transportation could be improved by applying correct emission factors. Unlike previous studies, which estimated emission factors that focused on vehicles in laboratory experiments, this study investigates emission factors according to road types and time using real driving data. The real driving data was collected using a Portable Activity Monitoring System (PAMS) according to road types and time, which it compared and analyzed fuel consumption from collected data. The result of the study shows that fuel consumption on national highway is 17.33% higher than the fuel consumption on expressway. In addition, the average fuel consumption of peak time is 4.7% higher than that of non-peak time for 22.5km/h. The difference in fuel consumption for road types and time is verified using ANOCOVA and MANOVA. As a result, the hypothesis of this study - that fuel consumption differs according to road types and time, even if the travel speed is the same - has proved valid. It also suggests correction factor of emission factors by using the difference in fuel consumption. It is highly expected that this study can improve the reliability of emissions from mobile pollution sources.

Study for Fire Examples of LPG Leakage Including Fuel hose, Injector and Pressure Regulator Connector in Vehicle (자동차 연료호스, 인젝터 및 압력조절기 연결부에서 LP 가스 누출에 의한 화재사례 고찰)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study for fire example by fuel leakage in LPG Vehicle. At first example, the car was repaired the fuel line that was connected with pressure hose between fuel regulator and injector in engine. But the service man was not very tighten with regular torque. At a result, the gas leaked on hot parts of engine. It verified the production of fire by engine heat. At second example, when the repair man, after replacement the injector, inserted the injector in a assembling part of it, he didn't the transform condition of fixing part. Therefore, the tearing phenomenon of O ring producted the controlled leakage of fuel by the injector deflection. It found the fact that the fuel leaked with gap of O ring. At third example. the fuel-cut solenoid valve was lined with pressure regulator unit. But the service man didn't throughly certify the leaked work of connected parts after repaired it. As a result, it certified the fire by engine heating leaked liquefied petroleum gas. Therefore it have to minimize the fire production that the driver should do no problem to throughly manage the fuel system.

Accident Risk Consequences Analysis for Operating a Hydrogen Refueling Station in Urban Railway Site (도심 내 철도부지 수소충전소 운영을 위한 사고 위험 영향 분석)

  • In response to climate change, each country is proposing a goal to reduce greenhouse gases in its energy supply and demand plan, and the use of hydrogen gas is a topic that is always prioritized as an energy resource for implementation. A popular way to use this hydrogen gas is the use of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, and expansion of hydrogen charging stations is essential for using these hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. However, there are several limitations to the expansion of hydrogen refueling stations, the most representative of which is resident acceptance. Most of the hydrogen charging stations currently built in Korea are located in the outskirts with low population density, so the inconvenience to hydrogen fuel cell vehicle users has not been resolved, and as a result, there has been no progress in the spread of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. In this paper, we analyzed the consequences of accident damage to determine the risks of constructing a hydrogen charging station on a railroad site frequently used by citizens. The target hydrogen charging station site was a railroad depot in Busan, and there are trains, national highways, and commercial facilities around this site. Assuming the worst-case scenario, we would like to consider the safety of the hydrogen refueling station site by analyzing the area affected by the accident and its consequence.

  • 고분자전해질 연료전지는 자동차, 분산전원 및 이동전원 등에 대한 차세대 에너지원으로 채택 가능성이 높아지고 있다. 고분자전해질 연료전지 시스템의 상용화를 위한 가장 큰 걸림돌 중 한 가지로 가격문제를 들 수 있는데, 연료전지 스택이 전체 가격의 약 $50\%$를 차지하고 있다. 또한 스택을 구성하는 요소 중 분리판의 가격 비중은 약 $30\%$를 차지하고 있어, 분리판의 생산단가 저감은 연료전지의 상용화를 위해 반드시 해결해야 될 문제이다. 본 연구에서는 탄소를 재료로 하는 분리판에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며, 압축성형방식으로 제작된 다양한 복합재료 분리판 및 흑연 분리판에 대한 기계적 강도, 물리적 특성, 화학적 안정성을 조사하였으며, 가흑 운전 시 분리판내에 함유되어있는 고분자 성분의 침출에 의한 연료전지의 성능변화가 발생하는지 확인하였으며 이에 대한 단위전지의 성능평가를 수행하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 최적의 압축성형 복합체 분리판 제작 방향을 제시하고, 보다 신뢰성 있는 분리판 성능평가 기준을 확립하고자 하였다.

  • The paper shows a solution by giving vegetable oil a chemical treatment, i.e., transesterification of the rapeseed oil without any modification of the diesel engine for reducing carbon deposits, and to evaluate rate of combustion with vegetable oils, their esterified fuel and their blend fuels using a double Wiebe's function approximation in a naturally aspired D.I. diesel engine. Since any oil will be as material for ester, if it is fatty acid, the sardine oil was considered. In the experiment, engine performance, exhaust gas emissions, and combustion characteristics were measured and calculated for a number of fuels: rapeseed oil, palm oil, ester of rapeseed oil, and these fuels blended with ethanol or diesel fuel.

  • Solenoid diaphragm fuel pump, which to replace mechanical fuel pump system by utilizing cam-shaft driving force, is in the spotlight for being a high efficient green car component. However, there is a drawback in power consumption as a solenoid diaphragm fuel pump only relies on solenoid for its flux needed in reciprocating motion. Therefore, this research proposes permanent magnet type VCM (Voice Coil Motor) fuel pump system to minimized power consumption. Furthermore, the study compares and analyzes power consumption and dynamic performance between the current and the former solenoid diaphragm pump by conducting finite element analysis with the commercial electromagnetic solver, MAXWELL.

  • 자동차의 연료비 절감 대책으로 연소 효율 증대를 위해서 연소실의 와류를 형성시켜주는 장치를 Modeling하여 유동해석을 실시하였다. 와류발생장치가 장착되지 않은 형태의 Model과 와류발생장치의 형태가 다른 Model을 설계하였다. 와류발생장치는 공기의 연소실 흡입 전에 설치되어 와류발생장치의 날개에 의해 흡입공기를 휘감으며 와류를 발생시키게 된다. 본 연구에서는 와류발생자치를 사용함으로써 흡입 공기의 유동과 흡입행정의 압력분포를 해석하여 와류발생장치의 효과를 확인할 수 있다.

  • 자동차에서 배출되는 오염물질은 크게 CO, THC, NOx, $CO_2$와 같은 가스상물질과 입자상물질로 나눌 수 있다. 이러한 오염물질들은 사용되는 연료의 종류 및 조성에 따라 차이가 있으나 대부분 인체에 해로운 성분들이 대부분이다. 많은 연구자들은 이러한 성분들이 인체 및 대기환경에 미치는 영향을 조사하고 그 저감방안에 대한 기술적인 방법들을 연구하고 있다. 특히 근래에 들어 자동차, 그중에서도 경유차에서 배출되는 나노입자가 미치는 인체 위해성에 대한 연구가 매우 활발하다. (중략)
