Automatic Global Registration for Terrestrial Laser Scanner Data (지상레이저스캐너 데이터의 자동 글로벌 보정)

  • This study compares transformation algorithms for co-registration of terrestrial laser scan data. Pair-wise transformation which is used for transformation of scan data from more than two different view accumulates errors. ICP algorithm commonly used for co-registration between scan data needs initial geometry information. And it is difficult to co-register simultaneously because of too many control points when managing scan at the same time. Therefore, this study perform global registration technique using matching points. Matching points are extracted automatically from intensity image by SIFT and global registration is performed using GP analysis. There are advantages for operation speed, accuracy, automation in suggested global registration algorithm. Through the result from it, registration algorithms can be developed by considering accuracy and speed.

A Simple Auto Calibration Method for CCD Camera With High Distortion Lens (왜곡율이 큰 렌즈가 부착된 CCD 카메라를 위한 간단한 자동 보정 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose a simple auto calibration method for a CCD camera with wide an91e lens that causes high degree of distortion. We formulate a cubic warping equation for the relationship between the cross points on the distorted calibration target and the corresponding points from the standard grid image, and calibrate distorted images using the computed parameters. The experiment has been performed with the distorted images resulted from wide angle CCD camera. The experimental results show that the proposed method, in terms of the average and maximum distorted error, has higher accuracy than the existing methods because of maintaining the calibration ratio more than 95 percent. The proposed method is applicable to wide variety of images regardless a type of lens or distortion.

  • In this paper, we propose a self-calibration of a multi-camera system using factorization techniques for realistic contents generation. The traditional self-calibration algorithms for multi-camera systems have been focused on stereo(-rig) camera systems or multiple camera systems with a fixed configuration. Thus, it is required to exploit them in 3D reconstruction with a mobile multi-camera system and another general applications. For those reasons, we suggest the robust algorithm for general structured multi-camera systems including the algorithm for a plane-structured multi-camera system. In our paper, we explain the theoretical background and practical usages based on a projective factorization and the proposed affine factorization. We show experimental results with simulated data and real images as well. The proposed algorithm can be used for a 3D reconstruction and a mobile Augmented Reality.

  • This paper presents an intelligent pattern matching method that can be used to acquire the reliable calibration data for automatic PCB pattern inspection. The inaccurate calibration data is often acquired by geometric pattern variations and selecting an inappropriate model manual. It makes low the confidence of inspection and also the inspection processing time has been delayed. In this paper, the geometric features of PCB patterns are utilized to calculate the accurate calibration data. An appropriate model is selected automatically based on the geometric features, and then the calibration data to be invariant to the geometric variations(translation, rotation, scaling) is calculated. The method can save the inspection time unnecessary by eliminating the need for manual model selection. As the result, it makes a fast, accurate and reliable inspection of PCB patterns.

Characteristics of Accommodative Lags Determined by Objective and Subjective Methods and Their Correlation (타각적 및 자각적으로 결정된 조절래그의 특성과 상관관계)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical characteristics of subjective accommodative lags determined by fused cross-cylinder (subjective method), and an open-field autorefractor (objective method) under uncorrected and corrected conditions. Methods: Thirty three healthy subjects (26 males and 7 females aged $23.73{\pm}1.35$ years from 22 to 27 years) participated. Four methods were used to determine accommodative lag: (1) a subjective method with the fused cross-cylinder (FCC) under +2.00 D fogging lenses condition, (2) an objective method with the autorefractor under uncorrected condition (3) a corrected method (effective accommodative lag) using equations presented by Gwiazda et al. in objective methods, and (4) a corrected method using equations presented by Mutti et al. in objective methods. Results: The mean accommodative lags were 0.72 D for subjective method, 0.82 D for uncorrected objective method, 0.88 D for corrected method with Gwiazda's equations, and 0.78 D for corrected method with Mutti's equations. There were significant differences between the objective accommodative lags, but no significant differences between the objective and subjective accommodative lags. The effective accommodative lags showed significant correlations between phorias and refractive errors. The effective accommodative lag by Mutti's equations had a high correlation with uncorrected accommodative lags (r=0.99, p<0.001). Conclusions: The objective accommodative lag correlated with phorias and refractive errors. Especially, The effective accommodative lag using Mutti's equations may be considered for clinical availability and qualitative evaluation associated with symptoms.

  • 정교한 강우-유출 모의를 위해서는 적절한 매개변수의 추정이 필수적이며, 매개변수 추정 방법은 시행착오(trial and error)에 의한 수동보정법과 최적화방법을 사용한 자동보정법으로 구분할 수 있다. 모형의 매개변수의 수가 많은 경우 수동보정법에 의한 매개변수 추정은 매우 어렵다. 자동 보정법에 사용되는 최적화방법은 Rosenbrock 알고리즘, patten search, 컴플렉스(complex) 방법, Powell 방법 등과 같은 지역최적화 방법과 전역최적화 방법으로 나눌 수 있다. 그러나 기존 방법론들은 매개변수의 최적화를 추적하기 위한 알고리즘이 대부분이며 이들 매개변수에 관련된 불확실성을 평가하는데는 미흡한 단접이 있다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구에서는 강우-유출모형의 매개변수 추정에 있어서 불확실성을 평가할 수 있는 새로운 방법론을 검토하고자 한다. 매개변수와 관련된 불확실성을 평가하기 위한 방법은 여러 가지가 있으나 통계적으로 매우 우수한 능력을 보이는 Hierarchical Bayesian 알고리즘을 Probability-Distributed 강우-유출 모형에 적용하였다. 본 방법론은 최적화와 동시에 각 매개변수에 관련된 사후분포(posterior distribution)의 추정이 가능하므로 모형이 갖는 불확실성을 효과적으로 평가할 수 있다. 따라서, 수자원 관리에 있어서 불확실성을 고려할 수 있으므로 보다 수리수문학적 위험도를 저감할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 본 논문에서는 직선 허프변환을 이용하여 DNA밴드 영상의 위치를 자동으로 인식한 다음, 영상의 기울어짐을 검출하고 보정하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 입력된 그레이 스케일 DNA밴드 영상을 이진화한 후 직선 허프변환에 의하여 DNA밴드 영상에 포함되어 있는 직선성분을 추출하고, 직선성분들이 직교하는 점을 찾아내어 입력하고자 하는 영상의 위치를 인식한다. 그리고 많은 양의 DNA밴드 영상 데이터를 효과적으로 입력할 수 있도록, 위치인식과정에서 실시한 직선 허프변환에 의해 영상의 기울어짐을 ${\pm}1$도 이내의 정확도로 검출하고, 기울어짐을 자동으로 보정한다.

Application of a Penalty Function to Improve Performance of an Automatic Calibration for a Watershed Runoff Event Simulation Model (홍수유출 모형 자동 보정의 벌칙함수를 이용한 기능 향상 연구)

  • Evolutionary algorithms, which are frequently used in an automatic calibration of watershed runoff simulation models, are unconstrained optimization algorithms. An additional method is required to impose constraints on those algorithms. The purpose of the study is to modify the SCE-UA (shuffled complex evolution-University of Arizona) to impose constraints by a penalty function and to improve performance of the automatic calibration module of the SWMM (storm water management model) linked with the SCE-UA. As indicators related to peak flow are important in watershed runoff event simulation, error of peak flow and error of peak flow occurrence time are selected to set up constraints. The automatic calibration module including the constraints was applied to the Milyang Dam Basin and the Guro 1 Pumping Station Basin. The automatic calibration results were compared with the results calibrated by an automatic calibration without the constraints. Error of peak flow and error of peak flow occurrence time were greatly improved and the original objective function value is not highly violated in the automatic calibration including the constraints. The automatic calibration model with constraints was also verified, and the results was excellent. In conclusion, the performance of the automatic calibration module for watershed runoff event simulation was improved by application of the penalty function to impose constraints.

  • 본 논문에서는 조각 병리 영상을 강체 정합을 통해 하나의 영상으로 자동 스티칭하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안 방법은 영상의 위치 초기화, 위치 보정, 강체 정합의 세 단계로 이루어진다. 첫째, 영상의 위치 초기화 단계에서는 순서 없이 흩어진 부분 영상을 탬플릿 매칭 기법을 사용한 영상 내 문자 인식을 통해 위치를 초기화한다. 둘째, 강체 정합의 정확성을 높이기 위해 코너점을 이용해 부분 영상의 위치를 보정한다. 셋째, 조각 영상 간 거리를 최소화하는 강체 정합을 수행한다. 실험 결과, 부분 영상 간 간격이 최소화되어 하나의 영상으로 스티칭되는 것을 확인하였고, 최적화 반복 횟수와 변환 벡터에 따른 정확성, 견고성 평가를 통해 거리 차의 제곱 합이 최소화되어 수렴됨을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문의 제안 방법은 조각 영상을 하나의 영상으로 스티칭함으로써 병리 조직의 전체적인 구조 파악과 이를 이용한 전립선암 확진에 사용될 수 있다.

Design and Implementation of Automatic Detection Method of Corners of Grid Pattern from Distortion Corrected Image (왜곡보정 영상에서의 그리드 패턴 코너의 자동 검출 방법의 설계 및 구현)

  • For a variety of vision systems such as car omni-directional surveillance systems and robot vision systems, many cameras have been equipped and used. In order to detect corners of grid pattern in AVM(Around View Monitoring) systems, after the non-linear radial distortion image obtained from wide-angle camera is corrected, corners of grids of the distortion corrected image must be detected. Though there are transformations such as Sub-Pixel and Hough transformation as corner detection methods for AVM systems, it is difficult to achieve automatic detection by Sub-Pixel and accuracy by Hough transformation. Therefore, we showed that the automatic detection proposed in this paper, which detects corners accurately from the distortion corrected image could be applied for AVM systems, by designing and implementing it, and evaluating its performance.
