Magnetic Shielding Study using 3-D Field Analysis (3차원 자기장해석을 이용한 자기차폐 연구)

  • 대전력을 사용하는 제강공장의 L/F설비에서 발생되는 강자계를 효율적으로 차폐하기 위하여 L/F주위의 자기장 분포를 유한해석법을 이용한 사용해석도구인 ANSYS 5.3 3차원 자기장해석기를 통해 해석하고 그 결과를 평판형태의 차폐체에 적용시키고자 하였다. 분석결과, L1 및 L2가 각각 2.7 및 2.9m 이려 높이가 3.5m인 2중차폐체(1차측 차폐: 1mmt의 전기강판, 2차측차폐: 1mmt의 Fe-Ni alloy sheet)를 설치하는 거싱 최적의 처폐방안으로 도출되었다.

Small Sample Asymptotic Inferences for Autoregressive Coefficients via Saddlepoint Approximation (안장점근사를 이용한 자기회귀계수에 대한 소표본 점근추론)

  • In this paper we studied the small sample asymptotic inference for the autoregressive coefficient in AR(1) model. Based on saddlepoint approximations to the distribution of quadratic forms, we suggest a new approximation to the distribution of the estimators of the noncircular autoregressive coefficients. Simulation results show that the suggested methods are very accurate even in the small sample sizes and extreme tail area.

Dynamic Responses in Ultra-Soft Magnetic Thin Films (초 연자성 박막에서의 동적 자화 거동)

  • The magnetization dynamics was investigated by solving possible origins of overdamped susceptibility observed in ultra-soft magnetic amorphous thin films. The experimental high frequency spectrum and computational spectrum calculated from Gilbert's equation of motion were compared in order to find proper damping factor $\alpha{\approx}20$ and demagnetizing coefficients $D_{x}{\approx}D_{y}{\approx}D_{z}{\approx}0$ for ultra-soft magnetic films. A magnetization vortex mode was, then, proposed to explain the origin of the reversible susceptibility and other anomalies of the ultra-soft magnetic heterogeneous thin films. In this mode it is suggested that there occur, within the nanoscale structural features of the ultra-soft films, incoherent rotational spin motions that are highly damped by the energy transfer from short wavelength spin wave modes and local defect structure mode interactions.

Design of a Magnetic Field Source for In Vivo Experiments at Extremely Low Frequency (생체 실험용 극저주파 자기장 발생 장치의 설계)

  • In this paper, the design parameters for the magnetic field source at extremely low frequency are proposed. This facility can be used fur in vivo experiments with small animals to investigate biological response to the driving magnetic fields. In case that the exposed animals are motionless, the animals may be affected by the directivity of driving field. To avoid this effect, a 2-axis ELF magnetic field driving apparatus was designed. The optimum location and number of turns of each coil were obtained by numerical analysis. Applying these data to the MATLAB code(for computation), the magnetic field distribution was obtained. The calculation result fur a well-designed facility showed that the space in which the amplitude of the magnetic field lies within the 95 % of the magnetic field distribution was more than 60 % of each axis length.

Effect of Transverse Magnetic Field on Dose Distribution of High Energy Electron Beam (횡방향 자기장이 고에너지 전자선의 선량분포에 미치는 영향)

  • In this work we have measured the dose distribution and the percent depth dose of 20 MeV electron beam using the X-OMAT films in order to verify the effects of transverse magnetic field on high energy elecrtron beam in a phantom. The result shows about 30% increase of the percent depth dose at 4.5 cm depth under the transverse magnetic field of 1.5 Tesla at 7.5 cm depth. We have verified that these were in an agreement with other theoretical results.

  • We consider the wild bootstrap Ljung-Box (LB) test for autocorrelation in residuals of fitted multivariate time series models. The asymptotic chi-square distribution under the IID assumption is traditionally used for the LB test; however, size distortion tends to occur in the usage of the LB test, due to the conditional heteroskedasticity of financial time series. In order to overcome such defects, we propose the wild bootstrap LB test for autocorrelation in residuals of fitted vector autoregressive and error correction models. The simulation study and real data analysis are conducted for finite sample performance.

Mössbauer Study on Crystallographic and Magnetic Properties of Mechanical Alloying Fe-M(M=Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn) Powders (기계적 합금화한 Fe계 분말 특성에 관한 뫼스바우어 분광학적 연구)

  • Fe-based powders, Fe-M(M=Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn), were prepared in Ar gas by mechanical alloying and their crystallographic and magnetic properties were investigated. X-ray diffraction indicates that the cubic lattice parameter increases for the M substitution. The distance of closest approach around M can explained the increase of lattice constant in Fe-M powders. $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectroscopy measurements on Fe-M samples indicates the coexistence of ferromagnetic phases and paramagnetic phase that are created by the distribution of local environment M on Fe atom. On the other hand, The spread of line-width on $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectra can be explained by the distribution of hyperfine magnetic fields. The results of quadrupole shift and isomer shift revealed that M substitutions in Fe-M powders didn't change both structure and the local charge distribution around Fe atom severely.

Size dependence of Cation Distribution in Magnetic Nanoparticles (자성 나노입자에서 양이온 분포의 크기 의존성)

  • In order to investigate the dependence of the particle size on the cation distribution in the spinel structure, Mossbauer spectra were taken in the presence of an external magnetic field f3r the magnetic nanoparticles prepared by using a microemulsion method. The crystals are found to have a cubic structure. The results show that as the particle sizes decrease, $Fe^{3+}$ ions migrate from the octahedral site to tetrahedral site.

  • The characteristics of electromagnetic devices with permanent magnet depends greatly on the remanence pattern of permanent magnet. So, it is necessary to analyze the pattern of remanence in permanent magnet. This paper presents a finite element analysis of magnetizer considering the nonlinearity and anisotropy of yoke and magnet in magnetizer. The distributions of magnetizations are obtained according to the variations of magnetizing currents for two kinds of magnetizers with different magnetizing poles. It is found that the excessive magnetizing current results in the reduction and polarity reversion of magnetization in the multi-pole magnetizing system where the pole angle is too small. During the design and analyzing of multi-pole magnetizer, it must be considered that there exists an optimal value of magnetizing current and pole angle of magnetizer.

컷오프 탐침과 랑뮤어 탐침을 이용한 자화유도결합플라즈마 특성 진단

  • 플라즈마 진단법으로서 컷오프 탐침과 랑뮤어 탐침은 다양한 분야에서 많은 연구가 진행되었다. 하지만 고밀도 및 균일성 관점에서 많은 이점을 가지고 있는 자화유도결합플라즈마에서 컷오프 탐침의 적용 가능성에 대한 연구는 많이 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 두 가지 탐침법을 이용하여 전자밀도를 비교하고 각각의 특성을 분석하였다. 먼저 랑뮤어 탐침법을 이용하여 RF파워, 압력, 외부자기장에 따른 플라즈마 변수(전자밀도, 전자온도, 플라즈마 전위)를 측정하였다. 외부자기장을 인가하였을 때 전자구속으로 인하여 전 영역의 전자밀도는 증가하였지만 R방향의 전자밀도 분포는 균일하지 않았다. 반면 전자온도는 외부자기장을 인가하였을 때 챔버 중심에서 감소하였으며, 챔버 끝에서 전자온도는 증가하였다. 즉, R방향의 전자온도 분포는 U형태가 나타났다. 또한 컷오프 탐침으로 전자밀도를 측정한 결과 비교적 낮은 $10^{11}/cm^3$ 이하에서 정확한 컷오프 주파수를 확인하여 전자밀도를 구할 수 있었으며, 그 이상의 전자밀도를 갖는 경우 동축케이블의 손상 문제로 인하여 신뢰성 있는 결과를 얻기는 힘들다. 현재 이 문제를 해결하기 위한 연구가 지속적으로 진행 중이다.
