  • This paper presents a method for selection of features suitable for classification of textured images. The statial interaction of gray levels in a neighborhood N is modeled by autoregressive function. The estimates of the model parameters are taken as textural features is done least square method. This method can be classificated biocell images. Experimental studies involving ten different types of biocell textures yeild 92-percent classification accuracy.

Short-Term Water Demand Forecasting Algorithm Using AR Model and MLP (AR모델과 MLP를 이용한 단기 물 수요 예측 알고리즘 개발)

  • In this paper, we develope a water demand forecasting algorithm using AR(Auto-regressive) and MLP(Multi-layer perceptron). To show effectiveness of the proposed method, we analyzed characteristics of time-series data collected in "A" purification plant at Jeon-Buk province during 2007-2008, and then performed the proposed method with various input factors selected through various analyses. As noted in experimental results, the performance of three types model such as multi-regressive, AR(Auto-regressive), and AR+MLP(Auto-regressive + Multi-layer perceptron) show 5.1%, 3.8%, and 3.6% with respect to MAPE(Mean Absolute Percentage Error), respectively. Thus, it is noted that the proposed method can be used to predict short-term water demand for the efficient operation of a water purification plant.

A Study on the Effects of Role Models on Differences in Entrepreneurs' Characteristics (롤 모델의 창업자 특성차이에 대한 영향에 관한 연구)

  • Role models are also known to influence an individual's job or career choice. The positive effect of role models on entrepreneurship has already been revealed through many precious researches. It is said that people choose not only family members who are related by blood, such as parents, siblings, and relatives, but also acquaintances whom they have met through social relationships as role models. In this study, we divided into entrepreneurs with no role models other than themselves and entrepreneurs with role models. In addition, we classified parental siblings and relative role models as role models with strong ties, and acquaintance role models as role models with weak ties. We analyzed the differences in personal attributes, entrepreneurial orientation factors, and learning orientation between the entrepreneurs with role models and those without role models. Also, the differences in personal attributes, innovativeness, proactiveness, risk-taking propensity, and learning orientation between the entrepreneurs with strong ties role models and those with weak ties role models were examined. The empirical analysis results are as follows. First, it was found that the proportion of women entrepreneurs without role models is higher. Second, the entrepreneurs with role models with weak ties tend to run larger scale start-ups. Third, it was found that the entrepreneurs with role models of weak ties tend to have higher learning orientation. Fourth, gender shows the greatest influence on th absence or presence of role models. Fifth, it was found that learning orientation and startup size have the greatest influence on the decision of the role model with weak ties or that with strong ties.

Prediction of Covid-19 confirmed number of cases using ARIMA model (ARIMA모형을 이용한 코로나19 확진자수 예측)

  • Although the COVID-19 outbreak that occurred in Wuhan, Hubei around December 2019, seemed to be gradually decreasing, it was gradually increasing as of November 2020 and June 2021, and estimated confirmed cases were 192 million worldwide and approximately 184 thousand in South Korea. The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters have been taking strong countermeasures by implementing level 4 social distancing. However, as the highly infectious COVID-19 variants, such as Delta mutation, have been on the rise, the number of daily confirmed cases in Korea has increased to 1,800. Therefore, the number of cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases is predicted using ARIMA algorithms to emphasize the severity of COVID-19. In the process, differences are used to remove trends and seasonality, and p, d, and q values are determined and forecasted in ARIMA using MA, AR, autocorrelation functions, and partial autocorrelation functions. Finally, forecast and actual values are compared to evaluate how well it was forecasted.

The Effects of Entrepreneurship Education, Individual Environmental Factor and Individual Trait on University Student's Career Decision Self-efficacy (창업교육과 개인적 환경요인 및 개인적 특성이 대학생의 진로결정 자기효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of entrepreneurship education and individual environmental factor on university student's career decision self-efficacy. A total of 346 university students responded to the survey and the data was analyzed using SPSS 18.0. To test the hypotheses of this study, correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted. The results of this study showed that entrepreneurship education, role model, family entrepreneurial experience and career preparation behavior were positively related to career decision self-efficacy. While gender were not positively related to career decision self-efficacy. This study reconfirms the importance and change of recognition of university entrepreneurship education for enhancing decision-making self-efficacy as well as the importance of career preparation behavior, role model and family entrepreneurial experience that have a significant effect on career decision of university students.

Spatial Autocorrelation and the Turnout of the Early Voting and Regular Voting: Analysis of the 21st General Election at Dong in Seoul (공간적 자기상관성과 관내사전투표와 본투표의 투표율: 제21대 총선 서울시 동별 분석)

  • This study is meaningful in that it is the first analysis of Korean elections using the concept of spatial autocorrelation. Spatial autocorrelation means that an event occurring in one location in space has a high correlation with an event occurring in the surrounding area. The voter turnout rate in the 21st general election of Seoul area was divided into the early-voting turnout and voting-day turnout, and the spatial pattern of the turnout was examined. Most of the previous studies were based on the unit of the precinct and personal data, but this study analyzed on the basis of the lower unit, Eup-myeon-dong, and analyzed using spatial data and aggregate data. Moran I index showed a fairly high spatial autocorrelation of 0.261 in the voting-day turnout, while the index of the early-voting turnout was low at 0.095, indicating that there was little spatial autocorrelation despite statistical significance. The voting-day turnout, which showed strong spatial autocorrelation, was compared and analyzed using the OLS regression model and the spatial statistics model. In the general regression model, the coefficient of determination R2 rose from 0.585261 to 0.656631 in the spatial error model, showing an increase in explanatory power of about 7 percentage points. This means that the spatial statistical model has high explanatory power. The most interesting result is the relationship between the early-voting turnout and the voting-day turnout. The higher the early-voting turnout is, the lower the voting-day turnout is. When the early-voing turnout increases by about 2%, the voting-day turnout drops by about 1%. In this study, the variables affecting the early-voting turnout and the voting-day turnout are very different. This finding is different from the previous researches.

Prediction Model on Autogenous Shrinkage of High Performance Concrete (고성능 콘크리트의 자기수축 예측모델에 관한 연구)

  • The autogenous shrinkage of high-performance concrete is important in that it can lead the early cracks in concrete structures. The purpose of the present study is to explore the autogenous shrinkage of high-performance concrete with admixture and to derive a realistic equation to estimate the autogenous shrinkage model of that. For this purpose, comprehensive experimental program has been set up to observe the autogenous shrinkage for various test series. Major test variables were the type and contents of admixture and water-cement ratio is fixed with 30%. The autogenous shrinkage of HPC with fly ash slightly decreased than that of OPC concrete, but the use of blast furnace slag increased the autogenous shrinkage. Also, the autogenous shrinkage of HPC is found to decrease with increasing shrinkage reduction agent and expansive additive. A prediction equation to estimate the autogenous shrinkage of HPC with admixture was derived and proposed in this study. The proposed equation show reasonably good correlation with test data on autogenous shrinkage of HPC with mineral and chemical admixture.

  • 본 논문은 배터리 팩 내부 셀 파라미터의 불균일도에 대한 분석을 실시하고 이를 기반으로 과방전을 사전에 진단할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 이를 위해서 배터리 팩 내부 셀간 편차가 발생하는 셀을 선정하여 두 셀간 특성 분석을 실시하였으며, 이를 기준으로 예측 모델을 구성하였다. 예측 성능을 통해 배터리 전압 예측 성능에 영향을 미치는 인자를 분석하였으며, 배터리 전기적 등가회로 모델을 기반으로 예측 모델을 제안한다. 예측 모델은 실제 과방전이 발생한 셀을 기준으로 실험데이터와 비교하여 예측 성능을 검증하였다.

Road Sign Tracking using Affine-AR Model and Robust Statistics (어파인-자기 회귀 모델과 강인 통계를 사용한 교통 표지판 추적)

  • This paper describes the vision-based system to track road signs from within a moving vehicle. The proposed system has the standard architecture with particle filter due to its robust tracking performance in complex environment. In the case of tracking road signs in real environment, it has a great difficulty in predicting time series data by reason of an occlusion due to an obstacle and the rapid change of objects on roads. To overcome this problem and improve the tracking performance, this paper proposes the algorithm using an autoregressive model as an state transition model which has affine parameters as states and using robust statistics for determining occlusion due to obstacles. The experiments of this paper show that the proposed method is efficient for real time tracking of road signs and performs well in road signs under occlusion due to obstacles.

The effects of work environmental factors and self-compassion on burnout of school counselors (학교 상담자의 업무환경 요인 및 자기자비가 소진에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of work environmental factors and self-compassion on the burnout of school counselors. The subjects of this study were 312 school counselors under the D District Office of Education participated. In order to examine the effects of individual, organizational, and self-compassion factors on burnout, correlation and hierarchical regression were applied. Individual factors were gender, age, health status, and personal hobbies. Organizational factors were employment type, working hours, and job satisfaction. Self-compassion and burnout were measured using the Korean version of self-compassion and Baslach burnout instruments. The correlation analysis showed that the three factors are correlated with each other. In the hierarchical regression analysis, three models were developed as personal, organizational, and self-compassion factors. The results of regression analysis are as follows. The influence of self-compassion on burnout was stronger than the organizational factor (i.e., employment type, working time, job satisfaction) and the personal factor (i.e., age, health status, hobby). There were no significant differences between genders. This study results suggest that self-compassion can reduce a level of burnout significantly, although personal and organizational factors have a significant impact on burnout. Further study and suggestions for reducing the level of burnout of school counselors were discussed.
