An Analysis of the Determinants of Employment and Wage of New College Graduates (신규대졸자의 취업 및 임금수준 결정요인 분석)

  • This study examines the determinants of employment and wage of new college graduates by using Youth Panel Data(2003-2005) of the Work Information Center, and seeks assignments for mitigating unemployment and wage disparities of new college graduates. Results are summarized as follows. First, an analysis of the determinants of employment shows that the Kyunggi Inchon district in school locations, higher school records, and qualification certificates positively affect the employment rate, while the private college group in the non-capital area negatively affects the employment rate. Second, an analysis of determinants of standard employment demonstrates that the Kyunggi Inchon district in school locations, higher school records, qualification certificates, and the major group of medical science, pharmacy, nursing science and health science, and the major group of education positively affect the employment rate, while the private college group in the non-capital area, the junior college groups in the capital and non-capital areas negatively affect the employment rate. Third, an analysis of determinants of nonstandard employment shows that the junior college graduation in scholarly attainments, the junior college groups in the capital and non-capital areas positively affect the employment rate, while the private college group in the non-capital area negatively affects the employment rate. Fourth, an analysis of the determinants of wages demonstrates that male in sex, the older in ages, the major group of medical science, pharmacy, nursing science and health science, and the major group of education positively affect the wages, while nonstandard employment, Kyunggi Inchon and Cholla districts in school locations negatively affect the wages. These results suggest several implications. First, college education should be reformed to cultivate professional manpower who are required by industries. Second, alternative measures to mitigate sex discrimination in labor markets should be prepared. Third, the process of attaining qualification certificates should be reformed in order that it is actually connected to the abilities of work performances and the improvement of productivity. Fourth, a locally balanced development must be realized through the decentralization of industries. Fifth a systematic and comprehensive program need to be prepared to promote the employment of new college graduates.

  • This article is aiming intensively to analyze the polarizing tendency of labour market and social integration. The polarization of labour market is being regarded as one of the hottest issues not less important than those problems of economic growth, employment, income distribution and national security etc. in the national policy. In this article, we will first follow up the important phenomena of labour market polarization and the background as well as its consequence. Especially, it asks if the present labour policy in the new government which is now being concentrated on the improvement of employment rate(from the present 63% to the 70% in the future) could deserve to diminish the polarization of labour market in korea. At one side, this article makes the special attention on the diversifying tendency of labour market and the various phenomena of fragmentation and segmentation in the labour market according to the forms and types of employment and according to the employee's status as much as the company's size. At the other side, it emphasizes that to overcome the polarization of labour market should require the wide reform from the legal measure to the improvement of the wage system, and the qualification system and the social investment as well as the human resource development. Furthermore, this article stresses the importance of integrative approach between the active market policy and the social policy instead of choosing each policy option, seperatively.

  • It is difficult to expect the service improvements such as increased number of sailing and making new ship due to financial difficulty this is caused by deterioration of island dwellers. In addition, the safety of ship operation is also a problem with the supply of good sailors difficult problem of low wages and lack of safety working environment. T It is necessary to ensure the introduction of public operating system in coastal passenger shipping business to secure the public and safety. There are many practical constraints but if we obtain public sea ways, it will be possible to improve the operating system through the implementation from a subsidized line and taking off business licenses of an insolvent enterprise by enhancing safety control.

The Relationship between Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention among Fire Protection System Management Workers (소방시설관리업 종사자의 직무만족과 이직의도와의 관계)

  • This study examined job satisfaction among fire protection system management workers in the fire industry and analyzed how job satisfaction affects turnover intention. The results revealed that, among the control variables, including age, rank, academic background, payment, total career, license, and tasks, significant differences in job satisfaction were found in the tasks between groups, while no significant differences in turnover were found in any control variable between groups. Additionally, the results revealed that, among the lower variables of job satisfaction, increased satisfaction with payment and organizational system affected the degree of turnover intention, while work and promotion did not. These results are to be used as data for human management of technicians and for creating alternatives. Future studies are required to establish a reasonable task rotation cycle for raising job satisfaction, to examine the current status of low-cost orders and countermeasures, and to analyze the direction of development of fire protection system management business.

German Family Policy in Gender Perspective (독일 가족정책의 현황과 젠더적 성격)

  • Family policy focusing on family-work linkage is characterized by family policy measures which are made up benefits in cash, leave policies and social infrastructure for child care. This study aims to identify gender ideology of german family policy. Based on diverse indicators, this study is tried to analyze characteristics of benefits in cash, leave policies and social infrastructure for child care in Germany. And then, as the results of policy - implementation the fertility rate and women employment rate are presented. In Germany, family policies have been reformed in order to better support working parents. In spite of diverse endeavors, the results of this study show that german family policy has limits to family-work linkage. Family benefits in cash has had no effect on increase in fertility and women employment because of its traditional gender ideology. Leave policy and social infrastructure have to be improved for better provision of public chid care.

한국노동시장(韓國勞動市場)의 동태적(動態的) 구조분석(構造分析)

  • 본논문(本論文)에서는 우리나라의 노동시장(勞動市場)의 구조(構造)를 동학적(動學的)으로 살펴보고 이에 따른 정책과제(政策課題)를 도출(導出)하기 위해 취업(就業)과 실업상태(失業狀態)를 번갈아 움직이는 노동자(勞動者) 행태(行態)의 결정요인(決定要因)을 실증분석(實證分析)하였다. 분석방법(分析方法)으로는 직업탐색이론(職業探索理論)을 이용(利用)하여 이론적(理論的)인 가설(假說)을 도출(導出)하였고, 계량적(計量的) 검증(檢證)을 위해 회귀모형(回歸模型)을 정형화(定型化)하였다. 통계자료(統計資料)는 1985년(年) 한해 동안의 "경제활동인구조사(經濟活動人口調査)"의 매월(每月) "테이프"에서 같은 근로자(勤勞者)를 11개월(個月) 동안 추적하여 분석(分析)을 위한 표본(標本)으로 이용(利用)하였다. 임금(賃金)은 취업(就業)에서 실업(失業)으로 변화(變化)할 확률(確率)에 대해 부(負)의 효과(效果)를 보이고 실업(失業)에서 벗어나 재취업(再就業)할 확률(確率)에도 부(負)의 효과(效果)를 나타내어 이론(理論)에서 도출(導出)된 가설(假設)이 검증(檢證)되었다. 연령(年齡)이 상태간(狀態間) 이동(移動)에 미친 효과(效果)는 부(負)의 값을 보였다. 그러나 이 효과(效果)는 일정한 연령(年齡)이 지나면 정(正)의 효과(效果)로 바뀌는 비선형성(非線型性)을 보였다. 이러한 결과(結果)에 입각(立脚)하여 우리는 높은 임금(賃金)을 받는 근로자(勤勞者)일수록 이직(移職)의 가능성(可能性)이 낮고 또한 실업상태(失業狀態)에서 재취직(再就職)의 가능성(可能性)이 낮다는 사실(事實) 등을 알 수 있다. 이에 따른 정책적(政策的) 시사점(示唆點)의 하나는 직업훈련(職業訓鍊)을 단순히 양적(量的)으로 확대(擴大)하기보다는 연령체계(年齡體系)에 맞추어 그 내용을 질적(質的)으로 조정(調整)하는 것이 바람직하다는 것이다.

Socialization of Care Work and Women's Rights for Paid Work (돌봄노동의 사회화 유형과 여성노동권)

  • The public interventions to care work affect women's labor participation as well as quality of care jobs in the market. We identify five different patterns of ways in which care work has been socialized. Some ways of intervention tend to reinforce the commodification of care work through producing it in the market area. Other ways of intervention has a lot of hazard to return care work to women in the families, after all. We can call it re-familization. Whether care work is re-familized or not largely depends on the ways of public supports for care: cash benefit vs. in-kind benefit. Cash benefits for women's care work negatively affect on their labor market participation. The effects vary across family income levels. In other words, you may expect that cash benefits for care work may reduce female labor supply in lower income classes. The marketization of care service provision may worsen the quality of care jobs while the public provision tends to increase the wage level of care jobs.

  • 현재 국내 산업계에서는 임금인상과 원화절상이라는 이중부담으로 많은 어 려움을 겪고 있으며 국제화 시대를 맞이하여 이제는 생산기술의 발달과 함 께 관리기술도 상응하여 진보하지 않으면 안될 처지에 몰리고 있다. 이러한 요구에 대하여 기존의 수작업에 의한 보수적인 실적위주의 관리방식에서 탈 피하여, 컴퓨터를 사용하는 종합적인 관리체계를 구축하려는 노력이 국내의 많은 기업에서 이루어지고 있다. BASC(Business Application Software Company)에서는 이러한 요구에 부응하고자, 한국기계연구원과 공동으로 MRP(Manufacturing Resources Planning, MRPII) 기법을 이용하여, 전체 11 개의 모듈을 갖는 종합 생산관리 시스템을 구축하였다. 본 사례연구에서는 시스템의 전체 구조와 모듈별 기능 및 모듈간의 인계를 설명하고, 아울러 이 시스템을 구축하게 된 동기와 프로젝트의 진행 과정을 상술하고자 한다. 여 기에는 시스템 구축을 위한 system 개발 구성원과 소프트웨어의 개발 배경 등이 포함되어 있다. 마지막으로는 현재 중소기업에서 적용할 시 발생한 여 러 문제점과 이에 대한 해결방안을 설명하고, 추후에 계속된 개선 방향에 대 하여 논하고자 한다.

A Study of Stabilizer for the Noise Reduction in Room Air Conditioner (룸에어컨 소음저감을 위한 Stabilizer에 관한 연구)

  • Room Air Conditioner(이하 RAC) 실내기는 열교환기, Cross Flow Fan(이하 CFF), 곡률, Stabilizer(이하 STB) 등 여러 설계인자가 소음, 풍량 및 압력 등에 상호 복합적으로 연성(Coupled)되어 있어 각 인자가 성능에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 밝혀 내기가 쉽지 않다. 따라서 RAC 실내기의 고성능 및 저소음화를 실현하기 위해서는 실내기를 구성하는 각 인자간의 상호 관련성 및 각 인자가 소음.성능 등에 미치는 영향을 체계적으로 분석하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 설계인자중 소음 및 풍량에 민감한 영향을 주는 STB 위치 및 형상 등에 관하여 자세히 다루고자 한다. STB위치의 적절한 범위를 설정하기 위해 Laser Doppler Velicitimeter(이하 LDV)를 이용하여 곡률별 실내기 내부의 유속분포 및 속도 벡터를 측정하였고, CFF내부 Vortex의 정확한 위치를 찾아냈다. 또한 실내기 저소음화를 위한 소음원 규명 측면에서 실내기 내부의 난류도와 관련하여 속도 Fluctuation을 정의하고, 실험을 통해 구하였다.

조립 용이화를 위한 구조 설계

  • 커피 포트는 60여개의 부품으로 조립되어 있는 제품으로써, 다품종 대량 생산되는 제품이다. 이러한 제품을 설계할 때에는 소비자의 기호에 맞게 모델을 다양화 하여야 하며, 제품과 품질, 성능등 제품측면과 서비스, 가격등 판매측면에서도 세심한 전략이 필요하다. 이는 제조 기업 대부분이 해결해야 할 과제이다. 그러므로, 작업자의 임금 상승, 경쟁 회사와의 가격 경쟁 등 기업 내외적 원가 상승 요인에 효과적으로 대처하여야 한다. 그 한 방법으로 제품을 구성하고 있는 부품을 분석, 검토하여 부품수를 줄이고 자동화 정도를 높이며, 조립의 용이성과 유연성을 갖는 제품의 구조적 재설계를 수행하여 조립 경비를 줄이는 것을 들 수 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 커피포트를 대상으로 조립의 용이화를 위한 구조 설계를 할 때 고려되어야 할 여러가지 설계 단계와 영향 요소등을 체계적으로 고려하여 작업자, 공정, 조립기계, 재료등 조립 수행 측면에서의 비용을 절감할 수 있는 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
