It is well known that the coloration and structural changes in thermal treatment of polyacrylonitrile are due to the formation of partly hydrogenated naphthylidine-type ring involving the pendant nitrile groups. Any quantitative study of the reaction, in the sense of kinetics and/or statistics, however, has never been reported. This paper presents that, at first, the disappearance of the nitrile groups follows the first order kinetics, which indicates clearly that nitrile groups do not disappear by a long chain reaction-the kinetic chain length is very short. This observation rules out the long intramolecular and intermolecular propagation chain through which most of the nitrile groups disappear. From the evidence that a similar reaction occurs in propylene carbonate solutions without gel formation, one may conclude that the coloration and structural changes are not necessarily intermolecular reaction. Secondly, a finite amount of nitrile groups remains unreacted at the extrem of reaction-not contributed to the formation of naphthylidine-type ring. The concentration of this unreacted nitrile groups is 19∼22% which is good agreement with the statistically calculated value of 19.2%.

Spontaneous regression is extremely rare in lung cancer and this in spite of its global high incidence. So far, less than 30 such cases have been reported in the literature. We report here on the case of a 68-year-old man who had the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma and in absence of any medical therapy, he had a partial spontaneous regression of tumor.

현재 전국적으로 $\blacktriangle$ 전기, 가스, 상수도, 하수도, 열수송관 등을 공동 수용하는 '지하공동구'가 14개 도시 30개소에 160.4km $\blacktriangle$ 보행공간으로 병용되는 '지하도로'가 23개도시 118개소에 63만 $m^2$ $\blacktriangle$ 지하도로내 설치된 지하점포가 1만1천798개소 23만$m^2$이 있다. 이와 같이 현대 도시내에서 지상공간의 과밀도 개발로 인하여 지하공간의 수요가 증대되어 지하공간 구조물이 많이 설치되고 있는 반면, 지하상가, 지하천 등과 같은 지하공간 시설에서 발생할 수 있는 침수피해 대책이 미흡한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 과거 지하공간의 침수피해 실태를 조사하고 그 사례에서 원인을 분석하여 기술적 해결책을 도출해 내며, 침수방지를 위한 대책으로 국내에서 사용하고 있는 기숙이나 국외(미국, 일본)의 침수방지 기술 및 대책, 침수시 가이드라인 등을 조사하였다. 또한 지하공간이 침수되었을 때 일어날 수 있는 위험성에 대하여 이론적인, 기술적인 조건에 대하여 조사하였다. 이를 토대로 지하공간의 유형 즉, 지하주택, 지하상가, 지하공공시설(지하차도, 지하철, 전철, 지하변전소)에 대한 구체적인 침수방지 기숙에 대한 기준을 제시함으로써 궁극적으로는 지방자치단체, 관련기관, 연구기관에서 지하공간 침수방지대책에 대한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

English has words that have a silent letter in their letter strings (e.g., knowledge). Such words provide an opportunity of investigating the role of phonological information in multi-syllabic words by comparing them to words that do not have the silent letter in the corresponding position (e.g., available). Stimuli that excluded a silent letter (e.g., _nowledge) were processed faster than those that excluded a sounding letter (e.g., _vailable) in the lexical decision task. The evidence from this experiment provides seminal evidence of phonological recoding in multi-syllabic word recognition

In this paper, we studied accident-aware smart streetlights to prevent secondary accidents when driving on highways. It used Arduino and sensors to inform drivers of weather conditions, incorporated functions such as LED brightness control according to sunlight and night driving vehicles, and used Raspberry Pi camera OpenCV to learn various traffic accidents, natural disasters, and wildlife.

We introduce a method of rendering a scene lying 3D objects which is like that artist draw on a canvas by brushing. Painting is the art area presenting something created by color and line on 2D plane. We are brushing on billboards on screen space for the 2D brushing effect according to the definition of "Painting". Brushing orientation is haven to rotate for preventing the orientation in the first scene in the case that object or camera are moving. If the brushing isn't rotated, shower-door effect is watched on the scene as undesirable result We present a brushing rotating method for keeping the orientation changing the direction of view and object rigid animation. The brushing direction is computed with Horn's 2D similarity transform by least-square solution. We watched the changing brushing to track the motion of object and view.

In this paper, we propose a concurrency control algorithm based on R-tree for spatial database management system. The previous proposed algorithms can't prevent problem that search operation is to be blocking during update operations. In case of multidimensional indexes like R-tree, locking of update operations may be locked to several nodes, and splitting of nodes have to lock a splitting node for a long time. Therefore search operations have to waiting a long time until update operations unlock. In this paper we propose new algorithms for lock-free search operation. First, we develop a new technique using a linked-list technique on the node. The linked-list enable lock-free search when search operations search a node. Next, we propose a new technique using a version technique. The version technique enable lock-free search on the node that update operations is to be splitting.

A mutant (HSMl) of Cryphonectria parasitica created during transformation reproduced the hypovirulent symptoms in virus-free wild type. Its phenomena have been proved with morphological marker such as reduced sporulation, pigmentation, and laccase production. In addition to the changes in phenotypic characteristics, down-regulations of Lac1, Crp1, Vir1 and Vir2 were also observed. The integration of transforming vector was confirmed and located within genome by marker rescuing. Vector integration occurred between two genes, Cpg2 and Cpg3, which resulted in the disruption of neither Cpg2 nor Cpg3. Both Cpg2 and Cpg3 genes, sized at 1.8 kb and 1.9 kb respectively, were rarely transcribed genes in Cryphonectria parasitica. Cpg2 expression was significantly overexpressed from 4 to 5 day old culture of both UEP1 and HSM1 while no differences were observed in Cpg3 expression. It appears that an aberration from the normal expression of Cpg2, not Cpg3, results in the hypovirulent symptoms in virus-free wild type.

The purpose of this study was to examine How the exploratory activities using Excel and GSP which are exploratory software, in learning analytic geometry affected on the underachievers' analytic geometry concept development process. The subjects of 5 students who received the 8th~9th grades from their examination of the last semester, participated in a total of 7 units based on Skemp's intelligent learning model. The results of the study showed that there were two important cases found to nearly achieve the category $R_2$. One was reflective thinking could happen through exploratory software in category $R_1$. The other was the exploratory activities which could have the same effectiveness as the relational understanding in category $I_2$, as Skemp mentioned that there is a room to be achieved in the elementary level when such relational understanding is achieved.

This study tried to derive the elements of the plan, recognizing the importance of taking into account the social weak when construct community facilities. For these, this study found planning indicator around literature review, then re-established indicators by Focus Group Interview. So it can draw following implication through result of analysis. First, planner considering the social weak should make fair space for harmonious communication between users. physical planning is important, but the building is to be vehicle for the social communication. So it needs to compose program without social elimination. Second, it is important to make participation base for the social weak in community facilities. Finally the reinforce of participation base can be indicator which encourage ownership and locality.
