  • The purpose of this study was to find out whether the cognitive function, depression, and health promotion lifestyle changes are maintained or improved through the dementia prevention program when applying the dementia prevention program along with the daily life management program to the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. The study was conducted from April 1 to August 9, 2019, and 30 elderly people with mild cognitive impairment who participated in the dementia prevention program at the Dementia Safty Center in Seoul were studied. The study found that cognitive function (MMSE-DS) and health promotion lifestyle (HPLP-II) were maintained and improved compared to control groups in the experimental group that voluntarily implemented daily life management programs along with dementia prevention programs, and that depression (SF-GDS) decreased. Therefore, based on the results of this study, in future studies, we hope to develop a variety of voluntary daily life management programs to maintain and improve the effectiveness of the dementia prevention program for a long period of time. I hope that the prospective study will be done.

  • While the issue of caring for the elderly that faces the modern society has reached a serious level, it is expected that it will be particularly true in the Republic of Korea where an aged, not an aging, society is impending. In this paper I did research on establishing behavioral model of residents who dwell in home or welfare facilities. I suggested a behavioral model in daily living, $W_{ip}(n)$, based on event triggering. A multi-hop routing-based wireless luminance/temperature sensor network was built based on the proposed resident's behavioral model. 1 did experiments on behavioral activities of residents on the wireless sensor network system. According to experimental results. I could classify whether the daily activity of a resident someday is regular or not. These experimental results show that the proposed behavioral model is highly applicable in caring for residents in home or welfare facilities effectively in the future.

  • This research reviewed the instrumental ADL for patients with mild cognitive impairment, which is one of the most interested topics, and hope that this research helps evaluating and treating the mid cognitive impairment patients in occupational therapy. The treatment for dementia patients are actively in progress, but there has not been treatment approach about mild cognitive impairment patients, who are in risk of moving on to dementia. In this review, we have dealt with the foundation of matching the point to instrumental ADL from the occupational areas of mild cognitive impairment patients and normal elders. We have discussed the that essential consideration about instrumental ADL is needed to prevent mild cognitive impairment developing into dementia. In conclusion, there is a need of regular evaluation about instrumental ADL considering the occupational areas of mild cognitive impairment patient groups, who are highly in risk of developing into dementia, and occupational therapeutic approach is needed as well.

  • This ethnography was done to understand the daily lives and life values of the experience of middle-aged women with Hwabyung. It also focused on how they reorganized their lives to escape their crisis and how they continued living going forward. The participants were 5 middle-aged women with Hwabyung and 2 family members in K city. Data were collected from iterative fieldwork through in-depth interviews and participant observations. Data were analyzed using text analysis and taxonomic method. The reorganization of the everyday lives of participants with Hwabyung started from the perception of family values and the crisis of those values failing. The participants' everyday lives were reconstructed by changing their perspectives on life, and renewing their family relationships. In addition, middle-aged women with Hwabyung managed to cope with their own roles, fill in for the role of husband, and reinforce their capacities. Their children' attitudes and behaviors were also reshaped due to the rearrangement of family roles. These results may help nurses understand and provide culture specific care for the middle-age women with Hwabyung.
