Minimum Weight Design of Transverse Frames of Oil Tankers by Generalized Slope Deflection Method (일반화 경사처짐법에 의한 유조선 횡강도 부재의 최소 중량 설계)

  • A generalized slope deflection method has already been developed by the authors from the existing one, and applied to the 3-dimensional structural analysis of tankers idealized as frame models to verify the effectiveness of the method from the analysis viewpoint. In this study, a minimum hull weight design program of tankers is developed to verify the effectiveness of the method from the design viewpoint by the combination of generalized slope deflection method and optimization method considering discrete design variables. By this program, it is possible to determine the scantling of each member of actual tankers that give minimum weight under given constraints. Also, a considerable weight saving has been found compared with existing ship.

Generalizability Analysis of Teaching Aptitude and Personality Test for Pre-service Engineering Teachers in a Graduate School of Education (교육대학원 예비공학교사의 교직 적성·인성 검사에서 일반화가능도 분석)

  • This study examined the fairness of the teaching aptitude and personality test assigned to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on measurement traits. For this study, we analyzed the teaching aptitude and personality test scores of 99 students enrolled in engineering education in a graduate school of education located in the Seoul metropolitan area from 2013 to 2017. The main results were as follows. First, the estimated variance due to residual was generally the highest, followed by nesting of items within domains, pre-service engineering teachers, interactions of pre-service engineering teachers with domains, domains, and occasions. Second, dependability coefficients were better indicators than Cronbach's because the latter may have been overestimated by applying the traditional reliability coefficient in inappropriate manners. Third, the teaching aptitude and personality test can be applied to pre-service engineering teachers in a graduate school of education based on empirical evidence considering dependability coefficients. Fourth, a total of 96 items from the original 210 items, with 2 occasions and 12 domains containing 8 items in each domain, were optimal measurement conditions to reach adequate degrees of reliability based on the total number of items. Finally, the results were discussed, the study limitations described and future research directions proposed.

분수차 퓨리에 변환을 이용한 광 필터와 신경회로망

  • 분수차 퓨리에(Fouier) 변환은 퓨리에 면환을 일반화시킨 것으로, 위치와 공간주파수의 복합적인 표현을 주나, 한 개의 렌즈를 광학적 구현이 역시 가능하다. 광신호처리에서 많이 사용되는 정합 필터를 구성하는 퓨리에 면환을 각각 분수차로 일반화시킴으로서, 위치 필터와 공간주파수 필터의 특성이 복합된 새로운 필터를 구성할 수 있게 된다. 이 필터 구조는 신경회로망의 학습으로 대치된다. 최대경사법과 오차역전파(error back-propagation)에 기초한 학습 법칙이 유도되고, 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과가 제시된다.

  • 본 연구는 외출시 항시 열쇠를 휴대해야하는 불편을 없애고 원격지에서도 공간의 개폐가 가능한 시스템을 개발하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 요즘 보급이 일반화 되어있는 이동전화를 원격제어의 통신 채널로 사용하였으며, 비밀번호를 설정하여 숫자와 특수키를 이용하여 열쇠를 이용하지 알고 간단한 버튼 접촉 혹은 근거리에서 리모컨의 동작으로 개폐가 가능한 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • We explore the structure and usefulness of three dimensional CERES plot as a basic tool for dealing with curvature as a function of the new predictors in generalized linear models. If predictors have nonlinear effects and there are nonlinear relationships among the predictors, the partial residual plot is not able to display the correct functional form of the predictors. Unlike this plots, the CERES plot can show the correct form. This is illustrated by simulated data.

  • This article deals with the method of ML among the methods of estimating m gene frequenecies in the Generalized ABO-like Blood Group Systems and with the statistical testing about the differencies of gene frequencies by using these estimators. Especially, the generalization about the Homogeneity testing problem is tried and thus it enables us to test of Homogeneity of m gene frequencies. Finally, in the example, ML estimator is compared with other estimators suggested by Bernstein method, by adjusted Bernstein method and by modified Bernstein method, and statistical testing in the above is carried out by using orthogonal partitioning.

  • Recent progress on software engineering especially in object-oriented design concepts has enabled the development of the simulation models of satellite components in view of reliability and reusability. This paper proposes an useful satellite simulator framework using simulation service and generalized model design. The proposed method is verified by a prototyping in .NET/C# environment.

  • This study aims to apply the Generalizability Theory (G-theory) for estimation of reliability of evaluation scores between raters on Patient Dentist Interaction. Selecting a number of raters as multiple error sources, this study was analyzed the error sources caused by relative magnitude of error variances of interaction between the factors and proceeded with D-study based on the results of G-study for optimal determination of measurement condition. The estimated outcomes of variance component for accuracy among the Patient Dentist Interaction evaluation with G-theory showed that impact of error was the biggest influence factor in students. The second influence was the item effect, and the rater effect was relatively small. The Generalizability coefficients for case1 and case2 which were estimated through the D- study were calculated relatively low.

  • Based on the Hartenberg-Denavit symbolic equation, which is one of equations for the kinematic analysis of three dimensional (3-D) linkage, a generalized kinematic motion equation is derived utilizing Euler angles and employing the coordinates transformation. The derived equation can feasibly be used for the motion analysis of any type of 3-D linkages as well as 2-D ones. In order to simulate the general motion of 3-D linkgages on digital computer, the generalized equation is programmed through the process of numerical analysis after converting the equation to the type of Newton-Raphson formula and denoting it in matrix form. The feasibility of theoretically derived equation is experimentally proved by comparing the results from the computer with those from experimental setup of three differrent but generally empolyed 3-D linkages.
