Highway Maintenance Cost Optimization Using GSIS (지형정보를 이용한 도로의 최적 유지관리 비용 산정)

  • Maintainability of highways is an important problem that is considered in the planning steps of a highway development process. A number of asset management systems have been developed to precisely predict maintenance and pavement expenditures for better decision making, But these systems are not helpful in reducing maintenance costs. Optimization of some highway design characteristics in the planning phases may reduce maintenance costs over the life cycle of highway. The formulations for initial and maintenance costs have been developed based on which design variables can be chosen to minimize these costs, focusing on the sideslope in cut and fill sections. Maintenance cost has been represented as a function of sideslope, width of highway cross section, and annual average daily traffic. A real geographic database of between Chung joo and Sang joo city in Choong buk was used and it is presented to investigate the sensitivities of maintenance cost and soil characteristics in selecting alignments. In this study, we present that maintenance cost and soil characteristics are important considerations in alignment optimization.

Development of a Prototype Equipment for Road Stripe Removing Using High Pressure Water-Jet (워터젯을 이용한 노면표시 제거장비의 프로토타입 개발)

  • Current removing process is labor intensive and time consuming, employing a conventional grinding type manual machine. This manual tasks trigger various dangers such as unexpected traffic accidents or explosions of propane gas used for finalizing removing process, leading to health damage and environment pollution by dusts and noxious gases. Accordingly, it is necessity for the development of new alternative equipment. In this paper, we have developed a prototype equipment for road stripe removing made up with a high-pressure water-jet system as a mobile type system. The following shows the results. First, an analysis of the current road stripe removal process showed that it can be divided into a) preparation, b) removal and c) ground finishing. It also showed that the b) removal process requires equipment which can cover the whole process. Second, the study compared between the productivity of the developed equipment and conventional methods, and it obtained 280% productivity improvement compared to the conventional equipment.

Surgical Treatment of Main Pulmonary Artery Aneurysm with Patent Ductus Arteriosus -A Case Report- (동맥관개존증에 동반된 주폐동맥류의 수술치험 - 수술치험 1례)

  • Pulmonary artery aneurysms are extremely rare conditions usually associated with congenital cardiac defects that cause increased pulmonary blood flow and pulmonary hypertension. The prognosis of pulmonary artery aneurysms is fatal due to the potential for rupture of the aneurysm and the underlying severe pulmonary hypertension. A 40-year old woman was admitted to our hospital with headache following traffic accident. On admission a continuous murmur was heard over the 2nd to 3rd intercostal space along left sternal border and a calcified cystic mass at left hilar portion was incidentally discoverd on chest reontgenogram. Cardiac catherization was diagnostic of a left to right shunt at main pulmoanry artery level and pulmonary hypertension. Pulmonary angiogram demonstrated a large aneurysm of main pulmonary artery extending into proximal left pulmonary artery. The pulmonary artery aneurysm associated with patent ductus arteriosus was diagnosed definitively and the patient was underwent resection of pulmonary artery aneurysm, closure of PDA and Dacron prosthetic graft replacement under cardiopulmonary bypass. The postoperative course was uneventful and the patient was discharged without any problem.

  • 도심 지역은 인구집중, 토지 피복의 변화 및 교통량 증가 등의 인공열 배출원의 다양화 등의 요인에 의해 주변지역보다도 기온이 높은 도시 열섬(Urban Heat Island) 현상에 의해 독특한 도시기후의 특색을 보이게 된다. 일반적으로 도시 열 환경에 대한 연구는 도시 열섬의 강도나 현상을 파악하는데 집중되어 왔다. 최근 들어 도시 열섬 현상 완화 또는 개선을 위한 관심이 높아지면서 도시내에 존재하는 수면이나 녹지를 이용한 기후개선에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하천은 다양한 생물이 서식하는 공간이면서 생물의 다양성이 풍부한 생태계의 보고로 인간과 환경이 조화를 이루어 온 공간이기도 하다. 이와 같이 하천은 지역의 다양성과 특수성에 따라 가지고 있는 기능이 다양하다. 그 중 하천의 환경 기능은 많은 열용량을 축적시켜 수면의 온도상승을 적게 하여 하천의 온도는 물론 주변지역의 온도를 낮추는 역할을 하게 된다. 특히 흐르는 물은 대류와 혼합과정을 거치며 열을 운반할 수 있으므로 효율적인 축열체가 된다. 또한 하천의 물 등은 광의 투과성이 높기 때문에 표면에서는 반사되지 않고 수체 내에 열을 저장한다. 따라서 이러한 현상이 종합적으로 작용하여 도심하천은 도심지에서 높게 형성된 온도를 낮추는 냉각효과가 있다고 판단된다. 이러한 영향을 알아보기 위해 본 연구에서는 원격탐사 기법을 이용하여 도심하천이 도시 열완경 완화에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석을 위해 2009년 9월 6일 Landsat 7 ETM+ 위성영상을 이용하여 LST (Land Surface Temperature)를 추출하고, SEBAL (Surface Energy Balance Algori- thms for Land) 모델을 이용하여 지표면 열수지 성분을 추출하였다. 그 결과, 도심하천 주변의 온도가 도심지에 비해 $2{\sim}3^{\circ}C$ 정도 낮게 형성되었으며, 잠열은 주변 도심지에 비해 하천에서 높은 분포를 나타내었다. 그러나 하천 둔치나 하천 주변의 콘크리트, 아스팔트 및 나대지 등의 토지피복은 지표면 온도가 높게 형성되어 도심의 heat spot으로 작용하여 열 환경을 악화시키나 도심하천은 cool spot 작용을 하여 도심의 열을 완화하는 기능을 갖는 것으로 판단된다.

  • The LTE system decided to build an integrated disaster safety communication network in order to cope with disasters quickly after the April 16, 2014 disaster, and 333 agencies in 8 areas will build a unified disaster safety communication network. It plans to integrate LTE-R, a railway integrated wireless network, and LTE-M, a land-based communication network, in the 700MHz band. LTE-R, a wireless integrated network, and the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, are currently using VHF and TRS, which are voice communication-oriented communication systems, in order to cope with demand for high-speed railway service, With this possible LTE-R, it is possible to provide advanced services such as radio-based train control and improve railway safety. The company plans to invest KRW 1.1 trillion in new routes to be launched in 2018 and the existing route to be improved in the future, and to build up all routes of general and high-speed railways to LTE-R by 2027.

Extracting Road Points from LiDAR Data for Urban Area (도심지역 LiDAR자료로부터 도로포인트 추출기법 연구)

  • Recently, constructing the database of road network is a main key in various social operation as like the transportation, management, security, disaster assesment, and the city plan in our life. However it need high expenses for constructing the data, and relies on many people for finishing the tasks. This study proposed the classification method for discriminating between the road and building points using the entropy theory, then detects the classes as a expecting road from the classified point group using the standard reflectance intensity of road and the characteristics restricted by raw. Hence the main object of this study is to develop a method which can detect the road in urban area using only the LiDAR data.

  • 2018년 물관리 일원화를 위한 정부조직법 개정으로 기존 국토교통부의 「수자원의 조사·계획 및 관리에 관한 법률」 등의 사무가 환경부로 이관되었다. 과거 부처별로 나누어진 물 관리 체계에 따라 부처간 업무중복, 과잉투자 등 수량과 수질에 대한 분리된 관리체계의 한계점으로 유역 상류에 설치된 댐의 경우 저류된 댐 용수의 수질악화의 문제가 발생하였다. 또한, 물관리 일원화 이후, 「제2차 물환경관리 기본계획」에서는 2025년까지 주요 상수원 수질을 좋음(I)등급 달성을 목표로 제시하였고, 이와 연계하여 평가지표 등에 설정한 댐 수질목표를 2025년까지 매우좋음(Ia) 등급 달성을 위해서는 댐 상류 주요 오염원에 대한 과학적 분석이 필요하며 이에 대한 관리대책 마련이 시급한 상황이다. 본 연구의 공간적 범위인 사연댐은 울산공업지구의 공업용수 확보를 위해 1965년 준공되어 울산 일원에 100,000m3/일 이상의 공업용수를 공급하는 수원시설이며, 대곡댐은 기존 울산지역에 공업용수로 사용하던 사연댐의 물을 생활용수로 전환하고, 대곡·사역댐의 연계운영을 통해 연간 66백만의 생활용수를 공급하기 위한 수원시설이다. 수질 목표기준의 경우 대곡댐은 좋음(Ib), 사연댐은 매우좋음(Ia)로 설정되어 있으나, 2015~2019년까지의 TOC, T-P의 평균 달성률을 살펴보면 대곡댐은 TOC 45.8%, T-P 27.1%의 목표수질 달성률을 나타내었고, 사연댐은 TOC 및 T-P 모두 0%로 목표수질을 달성하지 못한 것으로 조사되었다. 본 연구에서는 대곡·사연댐 상류 유역을 대상으로 유역의 특성 및 오염원 발생 특성을 파악하고, 이에 따른 물환경관리 종합대책을 수립하기 위하여 1) 유역 물환경 기초자료 조사와, 2) 모니터링을 통한 댐유역 오염 원인분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과를 바탕으로 소유역별 오염부하량을 분석하고 개선대책(안)을 도출하였다. 이 때, 개선대책의 효과를 분석하기 위해서 유역 모형(HSPF)과 호소수질(AEM3D) 모형을 활용하여 수질모델 구축 및 보정을 수행하였고, 개선 대책(안)에 대한 목표수질 달성여부를 파악하였다. 최종적으로 대곡·사연댐 유역의 호소수질 변화를 파악하고 댐 유역 특성을 고려한 맞춤형 물환경관리 종합대책을 제시하였다.

The Study of Radiation Exposed dose According to 131I Radiation Isotope Therapy (131I 방사성 동위원소 치료에 따른 피폭 선량 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the (air dose rate of radiation dose) the discharged patient who was administrated high dose $^{131}I$ treatment, and to predict exposure radiation dose in public person. The dosimetric evaluation was performed according to the distance and angle using three copper rings in 30 patients who were treated with over 200mCi high dose Iodine therapy. The two observer were measured using a GM surverymeter with 8 point azimuth angle and three difference distance 50, 100, 150cm for precise radion dose measurement. We set up three predictive simulations to calculate the exposure dose based on this data. The most highest radiation dose rate was showed measuring angle $0^{\circ}$ at the height of 1m. The each distance average dose rate was used the azimuth angle average value of radiation dose rate. The maximum values of the external radiation dose rate depending on the distance were $214{\pm}16.5$, $59{\pm}9.1$ and $38{\pm}5.8{\mu}Sv/h$ at 50, 100, 150cm, respectively. If high dose Iodine treatment patient moves 5 hours using public transportation, an unspecified person in a side seat at 50cm is exposed 1.14 mSv radiation dose. A person who cares for 4days at a distance of 1 meter from a patient wearing a urine bag receives a maximum radiation dose of 6.5mSv. The maximum dose of radiation that a guardian can receive is 1.08mSv at a distance of 1.5m for 7days. The annual radiation dose limit is exceeded in a short time when applied the our developed radiation dose predictive modeling on the general public person who was around the patients with Iodine therapy. This study can be helpful in suggesting a reasonable guideline of the general public person protection system after discharge of high dose Iodine administered patients.

Performance of Thrie-Beam Guardrail System withe Impact Attenuator (에너지 흡수 장치를 부착한 트라이빔 가드레일 시스템의 거동)

  • The current traffic situation in Korea can be described as rapid change in traffic volume and diversity in vehicle size from compact cars to large trucks. W-beam barrier most widely used in Korea was found not to satisfy the stiffness requirement for the Koran impact condition of 14 ton-60Km/h-15deg. and it was too stiff for small vehicles impacting with more realistic speed to satisfy the safety of vehicle occupants. To develop a guardrail system satisfying the two contradicting goals, a thrie-beam guardrail system, which had the beam thickness of 3.2mm and rubber cushions, was conceived. Even though the height of the thrie-beam(450mm) is increased by 100mm as compared to that of W-beam (350mm), there was only 2% increase in the weight of the thrie-beam. The new thrie-beam barrier system could contain more wide range of vehicle bumper heights, and showed better performance in the viewpoint of stiffness and energy absorbing capability than the W-beam system. The impact performance was evaluated from a crash test. The developed thrie-beam guardrail system satisfied all applicable criteria for NCHRP 350 test designation 3-10.

A Study on the Outliers Detection in the Number of Railway Passengers for the Gyeongbu Line From Seoul to Major Cities Using a Time Series Outlier Detection Technique (시계열 이상치 탐지 기법을 활용한 경부선 주요도시 철도 승객수의 이상치 탐색 연구)

  • On April 1, 2004, KTX (Korea Train eXpress), the first HSR (High-Speed Rail) in Korea, was introduced to Gyeongbu Line. The introduction of the KTX service led to a change in the number of passengers for Gyeongbu Line. Previous studies have analyzed the pre and post-event changes of the intervening events by either simple statistics or intervention ARIMA analysis. However, the intervention ARIMA model has a limitation that several assumptions such as the occurrence time and the type of intervention events are necessary. To this end, this study analyzed the effects of intervention event on the number of passengers using the Gyeongbu line based on a time series outlier detection technique which can overcome limitations in the previous studies. The time series outlier detection technique can analyze the time, effect type and size of an intervention event without the assumption of the time and effect type of the intervention event. The data were collected from the Korea Transport Database (KTDB) for twelve years from 2003 to 2014 (144 months). The analysis results showed that the size of the influence type in the same intervention events was different across the major city routes, and the intervention event which could not be found by previous study methods was also found.
