Since a hybrid firewall filters packets at a network layer along with providing gateway functionalities at an application layer, it has a better performance than an If filtering firewall. In addition, it provides both the various kinds of access control mechanisms and transparent services to users. However, the security policies of a network layer are different from those of an application layer. Thus, the user interfaces for managing a hybrid firewalls in a consistent manner are needed. In this paper, we implement a graphical user interface to provide access control mechanisms and management facilities for a hybrid firewall such as log analysis, a real-time monitor for network traffics, and the statisics on traffics. And we also propose a new rule script language for specifying access control rules. By using the script language, users can generate the various forma of access control rules which are adapted by the existing firewalls.

Client-server DBMS based on a data-shipping model can exploit e1ient resources effectively by allowing inter-transaction caching. However, inter-transaction caching raises the need of transactional cache consistency maintenancetTCCM protocol. since each client is able to cache a portion of the database dynamically. Deferred locking(DL) is a new detection-based TCCM scheme designed on the basis of a primary copy locking algorithm. In DL, a number of lock ,ujuests and a data shipping request are combined into a single message packet to minimize the communication overhead required for consistency checking. Lsing a simulation model. the performance of the prolxlsed scheme is compared with those of two representative detection based schemes, the adaptive optimistic concurrency control and the caching two-phase locking. The performance results indicate that DL improves the overall system throughput with a reasonable transaction abort ratio over other detection - based schemes.

최근 메타데이타의 주요 논쟁점으로 메타데이타의 표준화 문제가 등장하고 있다. 새로운 표준화 방향으로 인한 메타데이타의 확장성은 기존 메타데이타 관리 기법의 변화를 요구하게 되었다. 즉, 사용자의 질의에 대한 신속한 정보 제공과 동적인 자료의 일관성 있는 저장과 유지방 안을 필요로 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 디지털 라이브러리 환경에서 메타데이타 속성을 정의하고, 이러한 요구사항을 만족하는 병행수행 제어 기법인 2VL(Two Version using the Latch)을 제안한다. 2VL은 래치를 사용하여 2버전을 유지함으로써 판독과 기록 연산간의 충돌로 인한 지연을 최소화하며 판독 연산에 있어서의 빠른 응답시간과 높은 최근성 반영율을 보인다.

본 논문에서는 공간 데이터가 여러 서버에 분산 저장되어 있을 때, 여러 클라이언트에서 동시에 변경 작업을 수행하기 위한 미들웨어 컴포넌트를 설계한다. OpenGIS 구현 명세에는 변경을 위한 미들웨어 인터페이스가 정의되어 있지 않다. OLE DB 데이터 제공자의 변경 인터페이스 사용을 고려 할 수 있으나, 공간 관련성을 가지는 공간 객체의 특징을 반영하고 협동 작업을 통한 동시성 지원을 위해서는 새로운 인터페이스의 설계가 필요하다. 왜냐하면, 기존의 프로토콜을 이용한 인터페이스 구현으로는 클라이언트가 미들웨어를 통해서 분산된 공간 데이터에 대한 변경 작업 수행이 어렵기 때문이다. 본 논문은 분산된 공간 데이터 변경을 위한 인터페이스를 가진 서비스 제공가작 미들웨어를 통한 분산 공간 데이터 변경 프로토콜을 설계하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 즉, 분산된 공간 데이터의 확장 잠금 기법을 통한 일관성 제어와 협동 변경 트랜잭션에 대한 인터페이스를 정의하고, 분산 환경을 고려한 변경 프로토콜을 설계한다.

객체 지향 및 분산 환경의 대두로 인하여 오늘날의 시스템은 다양하고 복잡한 정보들을 관리해야 하는 필요성이 요구되어지고 있다. 이에 기존의 워크플로우 시스템 상에서 발생할 수 있는 다양하고 복잡한 정보들을 관리에 있어서의 일관성 유지와 동시성 제어에 대한 해결 방안을 제시하고 객체지향 작업 환경 및 분산 작업 환경에 보다 가까운 시스템으로서 활용되어질 수 있는 워크플로우 저장소 관리 시스템을 제시한다. 즉, 워크플로우 시스템에서 워크플로우 엔진이 정해진 프로세스를 수행하는 동안에 사용되어지는 Relevant 데이터를 관리하기 위한 저장소 관리 시스템을 제시하고, 사용자를 위한 사용자 인터페이스를 설계하였다. 또한, 본 논문에서 제시한 시스템을 활용하기 위하여 다양한 응용 분야 중 하나인 전자상거래를 위한 워크플로우 시스템에 적용하였다.

2차원 유동장내 수직 진동하는 원통의 Von Karman 와열 유동 현상에 대한 진동 주파수 계산 문제는 진동하는 물체의 비정상 공력 해석 연구 검증에 많이 사용하는 고전적 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 오픈소스 OpenFoam 기반의 중첩격자 기법을 사용하여 층류 유동장내의 수직방향 진동하는 원통 주변의 비정상 유동 현상과 원통 벽면에서의 공력 특성 변화를 해석하기 위한 일련의 해석 단계들과 결과를 타 연구그룹과 비교하였다. 원통 형상과 진동에 의한 와열 유동의 주기적 유동 특성과 복잡성 해석의 건전성을 확보하기 위하여 격자와 시간제어에 대한 해의 정확도에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서 수행한 해석 방법은 일관성과 신뢰성 있는 해석 결과들 보여주었으며, 향후 보다 실제적인 진동하는 에어 포일의 비정상 공력 해석 연구에 적용 가능함을 확인하였다.

정보통신 기술의 발전과 사용자들의 다양한 요구들을 충족시키기 위해 유비쿼터스 환경을 기반으로 하는 응용서비스들에 대한 연구가 활발히 연구되고 있다. 이러한 응용들에 사용될 디바이스들에 대한 서비스규격이 표준화되지 않아 상호 호환성을 저해하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 프로토콜 구조가 전혀 다른 무선 센서 네트워크와 외부 네트워크와의 메시지 변환을 위해 또한 이질적인 지그비 디바이스들의 상호 호환성을 높이고 메시지 변환 게이트웨이와 외부네트워크 사이의 관리, 제어, 데이터 입출력의 일관성을 위해 제안하는 프로토콜을 Zigbee Alliance의 지그비 디바이스 프로파일 기반 관리 프로토콜을 제안한다.

네트워크에 존재하는 저장 공간을 필요에 따라 유연하게 대여하여 사용할 수 있는 클라우드 스토리지 서비스는 데이터의 일관성 유지, 저렴한 유지관리 비용 등 여러 장점에 힘입어 널리 활용되고 있다. 하지만 클라우드 시스템은 데이터 소유자에 의한 관리가 이루어지지 않으므로 민감한 데이터의 노출에 의한 피해 또한 다수 발생하고 있는데, 이를 해결하기 위하여 암호화 등을 통한 프라이버시 보존을 위한 연구가 꾸준히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 프라이버시가 보존된 상태에서 클라우드에 저장된 데이터를 검색함에 있어, 대수적 난제에 근거를 둔 접근 제어 기능을 내포한 소프트웨어 기반의 검색 가능한 암호화 (searchable encryption) 기법과 최근 많은 관심을 받고 있는 하드웨어 기반 클라우드 데이터 검색의 효율성 및 기능에 대한 비교 분석을 수행한다. 이를 통하여 하드웨어 기반 기법의 활용을 통한 성능 향상 가능성을 확인하고 잠재적 보안 위협을 검토한다.

In this paper, we analyze workflow management system in programming language aspects. Many workflow characteristics such as workflow relevant data, workflow control structures, and workflow application invocations are studied and compared with those of distributed parallel programs. Although there exist minor differences between them, we found that there exist surprisingly many analogies between them. Based on this observation, we suggest to view workflow management system as distributed parallel program development platform. This new view on workflow management system provides users consistent view on workflow and workflow management system and with this view workflow management system designer can cope with arbitrary requests from the users keeping design consistency. Moreover the analogy between workflow and program provides a basis to apply program analysis techniques to the analysis of workflow.

Recently, rates of depression and suicide of adolescents in industrialized countries, including Korea, were rapidly increasing. Adolescent depression was often associated with anxiety disorder, eating disorder, attention deficits hyperactivity/disruptive behavior disorder. and suicidal attempts. Epidemiological data about depression and suicide of adolescents are reviewed. Psychological theories of depression and suicide are integrated in terms of a control theory interpretation. Issues about 'relationships between depression and anxiety' 'relationships between depression and suicide' 'the reason why rates of depression and suicide are rapidly increasing at adolescence' 'the reason why the different prevalence of depression between female and male is conspicuous at adolescence' and 'Korean culture associated with depression and suicide of adolescents' are discussed in terms of the revised control theory interpretation.
