This investigation compared the eyewitness accounts of 5-year-old children by verbal-only inter views and interviews using anatomically neutral dolls. The verbal interviews consisted of free recall, specific question, and leading questions. While the overall accuracy of the interviews increased with the introduction of dolls as memory aids, the efficacy of the dolls was not uniform across types of interviews. In free recall, the dolls were not effective in eliciting accurate accounts. The use of dolls also did not compromise the memory of children in free recall which recalled greater number of correct details with the memory aids than without, but it should be careful in free recall could be reported exactly correct in spite of little bit amounts. Responses to leading questions showed that the children were affected by suggestive misleading question and were susceptible to incorporation of that information into their memory.

The purpose of this study was to identify differences by gender and experimental treatment in the effectiveness of an anti handicap-bias program using a persona doll. The subjects were 60 kindergarten children of middle socio-economic status in Kyunghi Province, S. Korea. Treatment effects showed that the handicap-acceptance attitude scores of the experimental group were higher than those in the control group, and there were no significant differences in handicap-acceptance attitudes between boys and girls. Young children perceived the persona doll as a soul and a playmate and showed close attachment to it. They recognized the story of the persona doll as fact rather than fiction.

최근, 인터넷 등의 보급으로 인하여 급증하는 다양한 형태의 정보를 효과적으로 전송하기 위하여 파장분할다중화 광통신시스템 (wavelength division multiplexed optical communication system: WDM)이 활발히 개발 및 보급되어 왔다. 가변 광감쇠기는 각 파장별 광신호의 세기를 균일하게 하여 장거리 전송을 가능하게 하는 WDM시스템의 핵심 소자이다. 폴리머 소자는 제작이 간편하고 가격이 저렴할 뿐 만 아니라 다른 소자와의 집적이 용이하고, 열광학 계수가 실리카에 비하여 10배 정도 커서 구동전력을 크게 줄일 수 있는 등의 장점으로 인하여 폴리머 광감쇠기가 활발하게 연구되어 왔다$^{(1)}$ . 본 논문에서는 미세 가공된 멤브레인형$^{(2)}$ 도파로를 이용한 저전력 폴리머 가변 광가쇠기에 관한 것이다. 이 연구의 목적은 당사에서 제작한 멤브레인형 $130,000M^3$와 $135,000M^3$ LNG 운반선의 진동특성을 파악하고, 거주구역의 진동수준을 예측하기 위함이다. 우선 공진 회피의 관점에서 최적의 프로펠러를 선택하기 위해 간단한 계산을 수행한 후, 주변 해수를 고려한 선박 전체를 모델링하여 3차원 유한요소해석을 수행한다. 이 계산은 보다 정확한 고유진동수를 결정하고, 프로펠러 기진의 주파수 범위에서 관련된 모드 형상을 결정하며, 선박 거주구에서 기대되는 진동수준은 잘 예측할 수 있다. 다음으로 선박이 진수되고 전체구조가 조립된 후 안벽에서 불평형 가진기를 이용해 가진기테스트를 실시하고, 해상시운전 중에도 동일한 방법으로 테스트를 실시한다. 시험은 고유진동수의 항으로 선박의 실제진동응답과 계산결과와의 좋은 비교를 가능하게 한다. 추가적으로 실제 엔진을 구동해 RPM을 최저에서 최고까지 천천히 변경하면서 실제 운항 중 진동응답을 계측함으로서 고유진동수를 예측하여 해석결과 및 가진기 시험결과와 비교한다.
