인진쑥 추출물을 함유한 음료가 대학 운동선수의 피로회복 물질과 심박수 및 혈청지질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Beverage Including Extracts of Artemisia capillaris on Fatigue-Recovery Materials, Heart Rate and Serum Lipids in University Male Athletes)

  • 본 연구는 한방자원으로 널리 이용되고 있는 인진쑥을 음료 제조에 적용하여 음료를 개발하고 음료의 영양성 분과 그 유효성을 평가하고자 계획하였다. 이에 따라 개발된 음료의 일반성분, 무기질, 아미노산 함량을 분석하였고 인진쑥의 scopoletin 함유에 따른 혈행개선효과 및 피로회복능력을 평가하고자 운동선수들을 대상으로 음료섭 취 전과 6주간 음료를 섭취한 후에 각각 운동시작 전 안정상태 및 운동을 멈춘 직후의 심박수와 혈액성 분을 조사하여 비교하였다. 심박수, 혈중 젖산농도, 혈청의 포도당, creatinine, LBH, GOT, GPT 및 혈청의 지질농도가 6주간 규칙적으로 음료를 섭취한 후의 안정시나 운동직후에 모두 유의하게 낮아진 결과를 보였다. 이 결과에서 연구대상자들이 꾸준한 유산소 운동을 하고 있는 운동선수들이었으므로 단지 유산소 운동에 의한 결과는 아닐 것이며 6주간 섭취한 인진쑥의 작용이었으리라 판단된다 인진쑥에 함유된 구연산, 원활한 혈행을 돕는 scopoletin 및 6,7-dimethoxy-coumarin의 기능에 의한 결과로 사료되며 인진쑥 음료는 피로물질 감소에 의한 피로방지에 효과적이고 운동능력항상에 도움을 주는 것으로 제언할 수 있겠다. 운동선수뿐 아니라 특히 평소 운동시에도 꾸준히 섭취함으로써 근본적인 체내의 혈액순환이 원활해지므로 경기력 향상과 국민건강증진에 일익을 할 것으로 생각된다. 그러나 보다 많은 대상자들, 다양한 운동부하조건, 다른 음료와의 비교 등으로 다양한 임상 분석이 이루어지면 그 기전이나 효능을 명확히 할 수 있겠으나 본 결과가 향후 인진쑥을 이용한 기능성 음료의 개발과정에 기초자료로 활용되어지기를 기대한다.

토끼의 음경해면체평활근에 대한 인진쑥 성분인 scoparone의 효과 (The Effect of Scoparone from Artemisia Capillaris on the Smooth Muscle of Rabbit Penile Corpus Cavernosum)

  • Purpose: 본 연구는 토끼의 음경해면체 조직에 대한 인진쑥의 에탄올 추출물과 그 성분 중의 하나인 scoparone의 효능을 평가하고자 하였다. Methods: 체중이 2.5-3.0 Kg의 New Zealand백색 가토를 사용하여 음경 전체를 골반골로부터 분리하여 요도를 제거한 후 백막을 보유한 음경해면체를 2 mL organ chamber 관류모형에 연결하고, $10^{-5}M$의 phenylephrine을 관류하여 음경해면체를 수축시킨 후 0.1, 0.5, 1, 2 mg/mL의 에탄올 추출물 또는 $10^{-7}$, $10^{-6}$, $10^{-5}$, $10^{-4}M$의 scoparone을 녹인 용액으로 관류시켜 음경의 장력 변화를 측정하였다. 기존의 발기부전 치료제로 사용되는 실데나필에 대한 인진쑥과의 상호작용을 검토하기 위하여$10^{-6}M$의 scoparone과 $10^{-8}M$의 실데나필을 병용 사용 시 음경해면체 조직에 대한 효과도 함께 검토하였다. Results: 인진쑥의 에탄올 추출물은 phenylephrine으로 전처리하여 수축시킨 음경해면체 평활근을 농도 의존적으로 효과적으로 이완시켰으며 scoparone도 음경해면체 조직에 대한 이완작용 또한 농도 의존적으로 강한 효과를 나타내었다. 실데나필로 전처리한 음경해면체 조직에 대한 scoparone의 효과는 scoparone만을 단독으로 관류시킨 조직에서의 효과보다 강하게 나타났으며 실데나필과 scoparone의 병용사용은 실데나필의 효능을 2배 이상 증가시켰다. Conclusions: Scoparone은 실데나필의 음경해면체평활근 작용을 증가시킴으로써 실데나필에 완전히 반응하지 않는 환자들의 발기부전 치료효과 향상에 유용할 것으로 전망된다.

  • As an attempt to develop new functional health beverage by using medicinal herb, Artemisia capillaris, we investigated the effect of scopoletin in Artemisia capillaris on vessel and regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) of rats ingesting health drink prepared with Artemisia capillaris extracts and various ingredients. Artemisia capillaris extract decreased the vessel contraction and increased rCBF significantly. The extracts were grouped by heat temperature and mixed ratio and tested their respective characteristics. Then each condition was combined and produced the most effective one. The drink produced consisted of Artemisia capillaris extract 42%, honey 9.8%, citric acid 0.035%, cyclodextrin 1.47% and water. Brix, pH and acidity of the product were 9.2, 4.4 and 0.04%, respectively, This drink scored to have highest level on overall acceptance by the sensory evaluation. The above results showed that development of such functional beverage using Artemisia capillaris can be used as a functional material improving blood circulation in beverage industry.

  • An analysis of changes in herbal tea composition according to the difference in processing conditions showed slightly reduced crude protein content and increased, moisture, crude fat and solid elution rate after treatment using the ash puffing process compared to roasting. Benzopyrene content was significantly reduced to 0.18 ppb from 0.51 ppb. This result indicated that, the $B({\alpha})P$ content differed depending on the processing condition and raw materials. Generation of food $B({\alpha})P$ is mainly include the thermal decomposition of food cooking, when the processing which is a main component of food carbohydrate, protein, fat reason despite severe heat treatment as a whole is to be detected even though the $B({\alpha})P$ in this way is considered to be. The taste, aroma and color did not show a large difference, but the strong bitters taste decreased.

인진쑥 추출물의 병원성 세균에 대한 생체내 증식 억제 효과 (Inhibitory Effects of Artemisia capillaris Extract on the Pathogenic Bacteria in Mice)

  • Artemisia capillaris THUNB is a perennial herb that belongs to the family Compositae spp and the most common plant among the various herbal folk remedies used in treatment of abdominal pain, hepatitis, chronic liver disease, jaundice and coughing in Korea. This experiment was conducted to investigate the inhibitory effects of orally administrated Artemisia capillaris extracts on the pathogenic bacteria in 200 ICR mice. The experimental groups showed inhibitory effects on the bacteria in $1{\sim}3$ days after inoculation. After 21 days of inoculation, no viable bacterial cells appeared in the feces of both experimental groups while they did appear in the control group. The results of these studies indicate Artemisia capillaris extract exhibited excellent antimicrobial and inhibitory effects on the food poisoning pathogenic bacteria; S. enteritidis, E. coli O157:H7, L. monocytogenes and S. aureus.

인진쑥 추출물이 다이옥신계 TCDD (2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin)에 노출된 흰쥐의 간 기능 및 지질대사에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Artemisia capillaris extract on disorders of hepatic functions and lipid metabolism in rats treated with 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD))

  • This study was conducted in order to investigate the effects of Artemisia capillaris (AC) extract on disorders of hepatic functions and lipid metabolism induced by 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD), an endocrine disrupter, using male rats (SD, five weeks old) for a period of three weeks. These 37 animals were divided into four groups. AC extract was added as 1.5% or 3% levels to basal diets, respectively. TCDD (40 ug/kg B.W) was administered by intraperitoneal injection into rats after a week from the beginning of the experiment. AC extract alleviated the increase of rat's relative liver weights induced by TCDD. Thymuses of all rats treated with TCDD were apparently shrunken by approximately 80%. Levels of white blood cells (WBC), red blood cells, hemoglobin, and hematocrits were significantly increased by treatment with TCDD, however, WBC tended to decrease by AC extract diets. In hepatic function, the elevation of glutamic oxalacetic transaminase activities by TCDD treatment was diminished by AC extract diets. Serum HDL-cholesterol levels were significantly elevated by AC extract diets. The apparent increase of triglyceride levels of rat livers induced by TCDD was significantly suppressed in the AC extract diet groups. Hepatic cytosolic catalase activities significantly decreased by treatment with TCDD showed a recovering trend by AC extract diets. In histochemical observation, the fat droplets and apoptosis of hepatocytes treated with TCDD were markedly alleviated by AC extract diets. These results indicated that AC could exert recovering effects on some disorders of hepatic functions, lipids metabolism, and antioxidant activities resulting from TCDD treatment.

인진쑥 올리고당의 섭취가 비만쥐의 혈중 지질, 복강내 지방조직과 렙틴 수치에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Artemisia Iwayomogi Oligosaccharide on the Blood Lipids, Abdominal Adipose Tissues and Leptin Levels in the Obese Rats)

  • As obesity is known to be related to hyperlipidemia, insulin and leptin resistance, and other chronic diseases, much recent research has focused on functional food materials and their anti-obesity activity. This study was performed to study the effects of Artemisia Iwayomogi oligosaccharide AIPI on the anti-obesity function in normal rats and diet-induced obese (DIO) rats. F344 male rats were divided into four groups: Normal-control (CONT), normal-AIPI, DIO-CONT and DIO-AIPI. The groups were provided with water (in the CONT groups) or another drink for 4 weeks. The final body weights of rats in the DIO-AIPI group were lower than those in the CONT group. Abdominal adipose tissue weight per kg of body weight in the DIO-AIPI group was significantly lower than that in the DIO-CONT group. Also, the final levels of serum-triglyceride, serum-total cholesterol and serum-low density lipoprotein cholesterol in the DIO-AIPI group were lower than those in the DIO-CONT group. Moreover, the serum-high density lipoprotein cholesterol level in the normal-AIPI group was significantly higher than that in the normal-CONT group. Finally, the serum-leptin concentration was significantly lower in the DIO-AIPI group. Total lipid, triglyceride, and total cholesterol contents in the feces of the DIO-AIPI group were as high as 142%, 199%, and 165% of the respective values of the DIO-CONT GROUP. These results indicate that orally administered Artemisia Iwayomogi oligosaccharide not only has hypotriglycemic and hypocholesterolemic effects, but also has the effect of reducing the body weight and the abdominal adipose tissue weights obese rats. Therefore, we expect that Artemisia Iwayomogi oligosaccharide AIPI may have an anti-obesity function in F344 diet-induced obese rats. (Korean J Nutrition 36(5): 437∼445, 2003)

  • 팽화 처리온도를 각각 $140{\sim}220^{\circ}C$로 한 한방차 제품의 성분변화를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 처리온도의 상승에 따라 일부 탄화가 발생하며 조회분 함량이 상대적으로 상승하는 소폭의 변화가 있었고, 조단백질 및 조지방 함량은 거의 변화가 없는 것으로 나타났으며 수분함량은 감소하였다. 한방차의 고형분 용출률은 0.18~0.27%(w/w)로 나타내었는데, 팽화온도가 상승할수록 증가하였다. 고형분의 용출은 온도가 화학적 변화보다 물리적 변화에 의해 식품의 원재료 성분인 탄수화물, 단백질, 지방 등이 천연 상태에서 상호가교 결합이 물리적인 힘으로 어느 정도 파괴되어 성분의 용출이 용이해지기 때문인 것으로 생각된다. 벤조피렌 함량은 0.18~0.24ppb로 처리온도, 원재료에 따라 B(${\alpha}$)P 함량에 차이가 발생한 것으로 나타났다.

흰쥐에서 사염화탄소 투여로 유발된 간 손상에 대한 인진쑥 추출물의 치료효과 (The Therapeutic Effect of Artemisia Capillaris Extract on Hepatic Damage Induced by Carbon Tetrachloride in Rats)

  • This experiment was conducted to find out the therapeutic effect of Artemisia capillaris extracts on hepatic damage in rats induced by carbon tetrachloride ($CCl_{4}$). In this experiment, 96 Sprague-Dawley rats were used as experimental groups, which were divided into 4 groups; control group(A), $CCl_{4}$-treated group(B), $CCl_{4}$+Artemisia extract-treated group(C) and $CCl_{4}$+silymarin-treated group(D). The B, C, D group were administrated single dose of $CCl_{4}$(2.5 ml/kg) to induce acute hepatic injury. C group was administrated with Artemisia capillaris extract(200 mg/kg/day) and D group treated with silymarin(50 mg/kg/day) for 7 days. Hematological, ultrasonographical, histological examinations and examination of antioxidant activity were also performed in all groups. AST and ALT activities of C group were significantly decreased compared with B group. The activities of AST and ALT in C and D groups returned to the normal range more rapidly than those of B group. In ultrasonographic examination, the echogenicity of liver in C group was significantly decreased compared with B group. Also C and D group had tended to recover faster than B group on liver histogram. Histologically, the percentage of degenerative regions and degenerative cell numbers in peri-central vein hepatic parenchyma of C and D group were significantly decreased compared with B group. In examination of lipid peroxidation, malondialdehyde of hepatic tissue in C group was decreased as compared with B group. In examination of antioxidant enzyme activity in liver, glutathione peroxidase and catalase activities were significantly increased compared with B group. As results of this study, it is thought that A. capillaris extract has therapeutic effects on hepatic injury induced by carbon tetrachloride, and has the similar therapeutic effects as silymarin in rats.

저장온도, 시간 및 천연첨가제가 표고버섯의 향 변화에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Storage Temperature, Time and Natural Additives on the Changes in Flavor of Lentinus edodes)

  • 저장시간과 저장온도 및 천연첨가제를 달리하여 저장한 표고버섯의 향 변화를 6개의 metal oxide 센서가 장착된 전자코를 이용하여 분석하였다. MA 포장을 한 표고버섯의 품질을 유지하기 위하여 쑥, 약쑥, 녹차와 활성탄의 네 가지 천연첨가제를 사용하였다. 표고버섯은 각 처리구마다 폴리에틸렌 필름으로 포장하였고 5, 10, $20^{\circ}C$에서 저장하였다. 저장온도와 시간이 증가할수록 전자코의 저항비율값과 제1주성분 값이 감소하였는데, 이것은 높은 온도와 저장시간이 길수록 버섯의 품질이 낮아짐을 나타낸다. 표고버섯을 전자코와 주성분 분석(PCA)을 한 결과, 쑥 처리구(B)와 인진쑥 처리구(C)는 $5^{\circ}C$에서, 녹차 처리구(D)와 활성탄 처리구(E)는 $10^{\circ}C$에서 저장할 때 이취발생을 줄이고 선도를 유지하는 효과를 보여주었다. 그러나 $20^{\circ}C$에서는 대조구(A)와 처리구 간의 차이는 없었다.
