The Role of Consumer Cognitive Costs and Service Quality in Store Loyalty: A Comparison of Models between Customers and Prospects in the Context of Consumer Electronics Retailing (점포 충성도에서 인지적 비용과 서비스 품질의 역할: 전자제품 소매 유통에서 구매 고객과 잠재고객의 모델 비교를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the role of cognitive costs in the relationship between service quality and store loyalty using structural equation modeling. The findings showed that cognitive costs playa mediating role between service quality and store loyalty. The findings also showed that physical environment indirectly affected store loyalty through cognitive cost. However, personal service had both direct effect and indirect effect on store loyalty. It was also appeared that there were differences in the models between customers and prospects.

  • The wearables market has fast grown, demanding a more consumer-centric academic attention. The current research explores the moderations of consumer individual characteristics (i.e., age, need for cognition, involvement) in the dynamics of perceived psychological benefits of wearables adoption (i.e., perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use) towards perceived product quality. the results indicate a strong positive influence of both the perceived usefulness and ease of use on perceived quality. however, the predicted moderations of age, need for congitiion, and involvement were partially supported.

Effects of Customer Satisfaction, Perceived Switching Costs and Regret on Repurchasing Intention: The Case of Coffee Chains (고객 만족, 인지된 전환 비용, 후회가 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향: 커피 전문점 사례를 바탕으로)

  • As the market for coffee chains becomes fierce, it is important for coffee chains to establish an enduring relationship with customers and encourage them to revisit their stores. Thus, it becomes important to understand consumers' repurchase decision-making mechanisms in the context of coffee chains. Customer satisfaction, perceived switching costs, and regret were considered as the main factors of customers' repurchase intentions. Especially, the effect of regret experience of coffee chains on consumers' repurchase decision was examined. In addition, coffee quality, physical environment quality, service encounters performance, and brand trust were considered as attributes of coffee shop selection, and their effects on customer satisfaction and perceived switching cost were investigated. The results of the study showed that customer satisfaction and perceived switching costs had a positive effect on repurchase intention, while regret had a negative effect on repurchase intention. Coffee quality and physical environmental quality had no significant effect on customer satisfaction and perceived conversion cost. Service encounter performance had a significant impact on perceived switching costs alone. Brand trust had a significant impact on both customer satisfaction and perceived switching cost.

An Empirical Study on User's Continuance Intention Towards Mobile IM Service in China (중국 모바일 인스턴트 메시징 서비스의 지속사용 의도에 관한 실증연구)

  • Due to the intense competition and low switching cost, to find out which factors will significantly impact on user's continuance intention is very important for mobile instant messaging (IM) practitioners. In this study, we adopted network externalities and perceived service quality as independent variables based on the definition of mobile IM service. Network externalities also include direct externalities (referent network size) and indirect externalities (perceived complementarity). The result of this study shows that referent network size has a critical influence on perceived usefulness and perceived complementarity has a critical influence on perceived enjoyment; perceived service quality, as we expected, has significantly impact on not only customer's satisfaction but also perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. Meanwhile, both perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment have directly critical influences on customer's continuance intention.

  • This study examines the relationship between customer experience, customer-influencer relationship quality, and customer behaviors. This study employed questionnaire survey and collected 413 data. The structural equation modeling (SEM) method is used to test the hypotheses of the study. As a result of the study, it was found that among customer experiences, emotional experience had a greater effect on hot IRQ than cold IRQ, and cognitive experience had a greater effect on cold IRQ than hot IRQ. And it was found that hot IRQ had a greater effect on relationship retention intention than recommendation intention, and cold IRQ had a greater effect on recommendation intention than relationship maintenance intention. This study provides various implications both theoretically and practically by examining the relationship quality between customers and influencers.

Structural Model Analysis on UHDTV Service Usage: Control Effects of Symbolism (UHDTV서비스 이용에 대한 구조 모형 분석: 상징성 조절효과)

  • This study was conducted structural model analysis focusing on the factors influencing UHDTV service usage. The perceived quality, innovativeness, price sensitivity are adopted as independent variables and perceived usefulness, perceived easy use are adopted as intervening variables. Especially symbolism used it as a control variable. As a result of the analysis by PLS, the influence coefficient of perceived quality was significantly higher than other variables. However, the combined effect of symbolism and perceived quality has a negative effect on perceived usefulness, and the more the users consider the symbolism of UHDTV usage, the more negative the evaluation of UHD quality and usefulness. With the launch of the terrestrial UHDTV service in May 2017, the most important issue is the production and distribution of high-quality content that users want.

A Study on University Students' Intention to Use Video Contents as an Information Source of Serious Leisure Activities (대학생의 진지한 여가 활동 정보원으로서 동영상 콘텐츠 이용 의도에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims at exploring what kinds of factors affect university students to choose video contents as information sources of serious leisure activities. Among other, It focuses on the effect of information quality and cognitive authority. This study analyzed 209 sets of data collected by conducting an online survey of university students from across the country. The implications and results of this study are as follows: First, among the sub-components of information quality, timeliness, relevance, and accuracy had a positive effect significantly on the intention of video contents use as an serious leisure information source, and among those of cognitive authority, the characteristics of platforms was the most influential one. Second, the multiple regression analysis was used to figure out that, some sub-components of cognitive authority turned out to have a positive effect significantly on the evaluation of information quality. This study has a significant meaning in that it investigated the intention of video content use with the two factors (information quality and cognitive authority), especially at this time when more and more people are enjoying video contents as an serious leisure information source.

Cognitive User's Quality of Service Enhancement by using Spectrum Hole Grouping in Cellular Cognitive Radio Networks (셀룰러 인지 라디오 망에서 스펙트럼 홀 그룹핑에 의한 인지 사용자의 서비스 품질향상)

  • In this paper, we propose first a scheme of grouping spectrum holes that are created in the multiple channels of primary users, and then by using the scheme we enhance quality of service (QoS) of wideband cognitive radio users in cellular cognitive radio networks. In our scheme, spectrum holes created in each primary channel are predicted by Wiener prediction process, and then the predicted spectrum holes happened in the same time are grouped into a group. The wideband cognitive radio users explore the group of spectrum holes to improve their QoS. Simulation results show that their handoff calls dropping rate and initial calls blocking rate are significantly reduced in our scheme, compared to those in the single primary channel.

A Study on Exploring Factors Influencing Continuance Intention in the SNS (SNS에서 지속적인 사용 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • Social Network Service is a web-based service that allows the people to construct relationship among users with same interest and supports various activities such as managing personal relations and sharing information or contents. Based on the IS Post-Acceptance model and Success Model, this study examines factors influencing the continuance intention in the SNS. Questionnaires are collected from 275 students who are using the SNS. The results are following: first, the perceived usefulness and satisfaction have positive effect on the continuance intention. Second, the perceived usefulness, confirmation, system quality and information quality have positive effect on the satisfaction. Third, the confirmation has positive effect on the perceived usefulness. Fourth, the system quality and information quality have positive effect on the confirmation. Fifth, the satisfaction is the strongest predictor of the continuance intention and the perceived usefulness is the strongest predictor of the satisfaction.
