The impact of flow on learning performance in the e-Learning systems (e-Learning 플로우가 학습성과에 미치는 영향)

  • One of the most significant changes is the paradigm shift from teacher-centered learning to learner-centered learning. Along with this paradigm shift, understanding of characteristics of e-learners who are both system users and learners is needed. Before suggesting a comprehensive framework, this study proposes research model that can improve a learning performance using the flow theory. The results show that intrinsic interest and focused attention are significant predictors of learning performance. Especially, intrinsic interest is more important on learning performance than focused attention. Information quality and skill are found to be strong predictors of the intrinsic interest. Also, perceived ease of use, skill and computer self-efficacy are strong predictors of the focused attention.

  • Navigation system providing route-guidance and traffic information is one of the most widely used driver-support system these days. Most of the navigation system is based on the 2D map paradigm so the information is ed and encoded from the real world. As a result it imposes a cognitive burden to the driver to interpret and translate the ed information to real world information. As a new concept of navigation system, augmented-reality navigation system (AR navigation) is suggested recently. It provides navigational guidance by imposing graphical information on real image captured by camera mounted on a vehicle in real-time. The ultimate goal of navigation system is to assist the driving task with least driving workload whether it is based on the abstracted graphic paradigm or realistic image paradigm. In this paper, we describe the comparative studies on how map navigation and AR navigation affect for driving tasks by experimental research. From the result of this research we obtained a basic knowledge about the two paradigms of navigation systems. On the basis of this knowledge, we are going to find the optimal design of navigation system supporting driving task most effectively, by analyzing characteristics of driving tasks and navigational information from the human-vehicle interface point of view.

Narrative Characteristics in High School Students' Geological Field Trip Reports: the Relationship Between the Narrative Mode of Thought and the Academic Achievement (지질 답사 보고서에 나타난 고등학생들의 내러티브 특성: 내러티브적 사고와 학업 성취도의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to draw an educational implication by analyzing the context of narrative texts, students' narrative thinking, and their academic achievement. We investigated text types in students' geological field trip reports, the reason why students favors narrative texts, the relationship between narrative texts and their scientific knowledge recall, and the relationship between narrative thought and academic achievement. All students used expository texts, 82% of them expressed argumentative texts, and 36% of them used narrative texts. It is likely that students use more narrative texts because students were in the context of outdoor activity and so, their emotional feelings were more activated than when they are doing lab activities. The academic characteristics of earth science seemed to contribute more narrative texts in students' reports. The post-test revealed that students with narrative texts recalled better than the others. On the other hand, there were no statistically meaningful differences in academic achievement between the two groups. However, we have noted that female students whose reports contain narrative texts achieved significantly higher scores than female students whose reports are without narrative texts. From in-depth interviews, we found that students who properly used both paradigmatic and narrative mode of thought were in a more advantageous position than those who used narrative thought only. It was also found that some narratively thinking students tended to feel uncomfortable with the way of learning or evaluating questions about science. In the future, a complementary approach of narrative and paradigmatic mode of thoughts would be encouraged by understanding students' tendency of thinking.

Multi-Agent Based Cooperative Information System using Knowledge Level (지식레벨을 이용한 다중 에이전트 협동 정보시스템)

  • Distributed cooperative information system is the one that has various knowledge sources as well as problem solving capabilities to get information in a distributed and heterogeneous data environment. In a distributed cooperative information system. a control mechanism to facilitate the available information is very important. and usually the role of the control mechanism determines the behavior of the total system In this research. we proposed a model of the distributed cooperative information system which is based on the multi-agent paradigm. We also implemented a test system to show l its feasibility. The proposed system makes the knowledge sources into agents and a special agent called 'facilitator' controls the cooperation between the knowledge agents The facilitator uses the knowledge granularity level to determine the sequence of the activation of the agents. In other words. the knowledge source with simple but fast processing mechanism activates first while more sophisticated but slow knowledge sources are activated late. In an environment in which we have several knowledge sources for the same topic. the proposed system will simulate the focusing mechanism of human cognitive process.

  • To provide context aware service, certain phenomena and situation information of the user should be detecting and monitoring using sensors. But, the sensor data has heterogeneity about system, syntax, structure, and semantics. So, it is difficult to apply to various services. To solve this issue, we should remove these heterogeneities and convert to context information that is easy to provide context aware services. Also, the existing context aware service mash-up environment require relevant sensor type, criteria of context, programing ability to define the service situation. So, it is difficult to create service for a non-technical user. Therefore, we propose ontology based user-centric service environment to provide context aware IoT services. It provide context awareness and user-desired services using data that acquired via IoT paradigm. The proposed environment consist of the ontology based semantic sensor data processing and the user-centric service environment. It provide convert the object data to the context information and service mash-up process to create user service in easy way.

The Effects of Computational Thinking-based Instruction Integrating of Mathematics Learning and Assessment on Metacognition and Mathematical Academic Achievements of Elementary School Students (학습과 평가를 통합한 컴퓨팅 사고력 기반의 수업이 초등학생의 메타인지와 수학학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The 2015 revised mathematics curriculum specified software education as a mandatory curriculum amid a trend in which the software environment was extended to daily life due to the fourth industrial revolution. It also calls for a paradigm shift in lessons that incorporate learning and evaluation by specifying a process-oriented assessment. This study focused on addition and subtraction classes based on computational thinking skills that integrate mathematics learning and evaluation. Two fourth grade classes of elementary schools in Seoul were selected to conduct a pre- and post- test of metacognition and mathematics achievement through quantitative research. Also, a mixed study was conducted to analyze students' activities and opinions in parallel. The results of the study confirmed that the computational thinking-based classes, which incorporate mathematics learning and evaluation, had a positive effect on the metacognition of elementary school students and the improvement of their achievement scores. In addition to those identified in this study, further studies on other factors are proposed.

An Empirical Study of Effect how e-Trade and e-L/C Impact on Business Performance in SME (우리나라 중소기업의 전자신용장 활용(e-L/C)과 사업성과에 관한 실증연구)

  • Recently, enterprise information management activities have been applied to promote electronic trade, while changing the paradigm of cross-border trade and overall trade business processes. L/C, which facilitates payment from the trade transaction in a company, has been able to eliminate the high cost and inefficient element of the trade process by utilizing the electronic letter of credit (e-L/C). This study examines the influential relationship among the e-trade utilizing factor (such as the perceived ease of use and the volition of CEO), the e-L/C and corporate performance, and the study aimed to verify the moderating effect of customer service level by organizations utilizing e-trade. For the purpose of the research, we conducted a survey implementing the e-L/C and analyzed the 338 data collected. The results of this research are as follows. First, the perceived ease of use and volition of CEO have positive impact on the e-L/C. Second, the e-L/C has positive impact on the business performance. Third, a moderating effect shows on the customer expectation level. The main implication of this study is that the perceived ease of use is to be considered preferentially than the volition of CEO in order to utilize electronic trading, and the volition of CEO shows synergy effect with customer service level by organization utilizing e-trade.

  • 최근 새로운 정보기술 패러다임인 유비쿼터스가 등장함에 따라 그에 관련된 다양한 서비스들이 도입되어 확산되고 있다. 그러나 이 경우 제품이나 서비스가 아무리 혁신적이고 훌륭하다 하더라도 고객이 실용적이지 못하다고 인지하거나 만족하지 못하면 그 제품이나 서비스는 시장에서 더 이상 확산되지 못할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 서비스의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 선행 요인과 결과요인에 대한 실증적 연구를 통해 기업이 향후 유비쿼터스 서비스를 개발하고 이용자를 확대하는데 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 이에 본 연구는 기존 문헌을 바탕으로 유비쿼터스 서비스 만족도의 선행요인과 결과요인 모델을 제시하고 실증하였다. 그 결과 편재성, 상황기반 제공성, 친화성과 같은 유비쿼터스 특성요인은 유비쿼터스 서비스에 대한 지각된 유용성을 높이고, 이 지각된 유용성은 유비쿼터스 서비스에 대한 만족도을 높이고 만족도는 재이용의도와 추천의도에 유의한 영향을 마치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 실증결과를 바탕으로 유비쿼터스 서비스 활성화를 위한 마케팅적 시사점을 토의하고, 연구의 한계점과 향후 연구방향을 마지막에 제시하였다.

모바일 증권서비스 사용의도의 장애요인에 관한 연구

  • 한국증권산업은 최근 5년 동안 증권서비스의 거래방식이 오프라인에서 온라인으로 전환되는 급격한 패러다임의 변화를 겪었다. 이는 온라인 증권서비스가 오프라인에서 제공해 주지 못했던 서비스를 제공해 주었기 때문인 것으로 많은 연구를 통해 밝혀 졌다. 또한 정보통신기술의 급격한 발달과 모바일 기기의 빠른 보급으로 인하여 또다시 증권서비스의 거래 방식이 모바일기기를 이용한 방식으로 점차적으로 전환 될 것이라는 전망이 많이 예측 되었다. 그러나 전문가들이 예상했던 것과는 달리 모바일 증권서비스의 확산 속도는 2003년 온라인 증권 거래 방식 중 모바일 증권서비스의 거래방식이 3% 미만의 비중을 차지하는 등, 그 확산 속도가 정체되거나 매우 느리게 진행되고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 초기에 많은 전문가들이 예상했던 모바일증권서비스가 활성화 되지 않는 요인을 장애요인으로 정의하고, 사용자들이 모바일증권서비스의 수용의도에 있어서 무엇이 가장 큰 장애요인 인지를 도출해 내고 도출된 장애요인을 실제 온라인 증권서비스 사용자들에게 검증 받는데 그 연구목적이 있다.

  • 전통적인 워크플로우 패러다임에 있어서는 하나의 워크플로우가 자동으로 실행되기 위해서는 사전에 해당 워크플로우 탬플릿이 정의되어야 한다. 하지만 많은 경우에 있어서 프로세스 생성시에 전체 워크플로우를 명확하게 정의 할 수 없는 상황이 발생한다. 그러한 경우에는 워크플로우 파편을 통합하여 유도되는 것이 적절하다. 워크플로우 관리시스템이 그러한 상황에 대처하기 위해서는 실행 중에 워크플로우를 정의하는 기능을 갖출 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 워크플로우 관리시스템에서 실행 중 워크플로우 정의 기능을 어떻게 수용할 것인지에 관해서 소개하고 그러한 기능을 수용하는 워크플로우 관리 시스템이 어떠한 구조이어야 하는지에 관해서 논의한다. 본 논문에서는 또한 실행 중 워크플로우 정의를 위한 세가지 워크플로우 파편 템플릿이 소개되며 이것들로부터 전체 워크플로우를 유도하는 알고리즘이 고안되었다. 실행 중 워크플로우 정의 기능을 구현하기 위해서는 커넥터 메커니즘이 고안되었으며 이것의 구조와 기능도 소개된다.
