An Effects of Project Media Education with Computer in Technological Academic Achievement and Ability of Self-Directed Learning in middle school (컴퓨터 활용 프로젝트 미디어교육의 중등 기술교과 학업성취도 및 자기주도 학습능력에 미치는 효과 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터를 중심으로 하여 인쇄매체, 영상매체를 활용하는 프로젝트 미디어교육이 중학생 기술교육의 학업성취도 및 자기주도 학습능력에 긍정적인 효과를 미치는가를 연구하였다. 연구대상자들을 전통적 교사중심 강의수업을 받는 집단과 프로젝트 미디어교육을 받는 집단으로 나누어 실험하였다. 이를 통해 나타난 결과는, 첫째, 프로젝트 미디어교육 학습집단이 전통적 강의방식 학습집단에 비해 인지적 영역과 정의적 영역의 학업성취도에서 더 효과적인 결과를 보여주었다. 그러나 학습결과물 영역의 학업성취도에서는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 둘째, 프로젝트 미디어교육 학습집단이 전통 학습집단에 비해 학습자들의 자기주도 학습능력 요소들 중, 학습기회에 대한 개방성, 학습에의 솔선수범 및 독립성, 창의성의 요소들에서 더 효과적인 결과를 나타내었다.

청소년기업가정신교육은 청소년기업가정신지수를 향상시킬까?: JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육을 중심으로

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년기업가지수를 활용하여 청소년기업가정신교육이 청소년에게 어떠한 영역에서 효과가 있는지 JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육을 중심으로 검증해 보는 데 있다. JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육 프로그램에 참여한 고등학생 124명을 대상으로 청소년기업가정신지수의 3개 영역(인지, 사회, 정의), 9개 하위요소(혁신성, 적극적 문제해결, 대인관계, 리더십, 공감, 위험감수성, 진취성, 자기효능감, 모호함에 대한 인내)를 교육 사전-사후로 나누어 대응분석을 실시하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육에 참가한 고등학생의 청소년기업가정신지수를 사전-사후 대응분석을 실시한 결과 통계적으로 유의미하게 상승하였다. 둘째, 청소년기업가정신지수를 구성하는 인지, 사회, 정의영역 중인지영역과 정의영역에서 유의미하게 상승하였다. 마지막으로 9개 하위요소에 대해 분석한 결과 대인관계 및 위험감수성 요소를 제외하고 7개 하위요소에서 통계적으로 유의미하게 높아졌다. 본 연구는 청소년기업가정신지수를 활용하여 교육의 효과성을 검증하고 청소년기업가정신교육의 바람직한 방향성을 수립하는데 필요한 객관적인 자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Meta-Analysis of the Effectiveness of Reading Instruction Using English Literature for Children (영어 동화를 활용한 읽기 교육의 효과성 메타분석)

  • This study is to identify the effectiveness of English literature in reading instruction using meta-analysis of advanced researches. 80 studies published in Korea were selected for this research wherein the studies are in experimental nature on reading instruction using English literature. The result of the meta-analysis are as follows: Reading instruction with English literature for early children in kindergartens and primary schools showed statistically significant positive effects in both reading abilities and affective domains, in particular for younger children from kindergartners to 2nd graders of primary school. It was more effective when the instructor used top-down approach than bottom-up or balanced approach. No significant coorelation was found between the number of English stories and the students' linguistic ability. Diverse activities tailored to students' need are turned out to be more effective than using same old activities with more stories.

The Effect of Peer Tutoring and Learner Characteristics on Academic Achievement and Self-efficacy in Computer Education (컴퓨터 실습 수업에서 동료교수법과 학습자의 성향이 학업 성취도 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • This study focuses on applying the peer tutoring as an alternative instructional method in computer education. The purpose of this study is two folds: first, to examine the effect of peer tutoring on academic achievement; and second, to investigate the effect of peer tutoring on self-efficacy on learning about computer. To achieve the purpose, an experimental research was performed with 130 10th graders. The results showed no significant differences between the two groups on academic achievement, and among four groups of peer tutoring. However, there are significant differences on learners' self-efficacy.

Analysis on affective and cognitive effects of application development education using authoring tool for high-school students (고등학생 대상 저작도구 활용 앱 개발 교육의 정의적·인지적 효과 분석)

  • Due to the influence of the fourth industrial revolution in recent years, maker education is getting attention. Therefore, this study tried to propose the possibility of application (app) development education as maker education by empirically verifying the affective and cognitive effects of app development education using authoring tool. To do this, we implemented app development education in D high school in Seoul, Korea, and collected data from 41 participants. We analyzed the changes in attitudes toward SW education and creative problem-solving ability before and after the education by conducting the paired t-test, and the level of satisfaction and perceived achievement through descriptive statistics analysis. Also, the learner's responses collected through the open-ended questionnaire were analyzed qualitatively. The result showed that the attitude toward SW education and creative problem-solving ability showed statistically significant improvement after app development education using the authoring tool, and the learner's statement also supported this result. Also, satisfaction and perceived achievement after the education were relatively high. Through these results, we have empirically confirmed the effect of app development education using the authoring tool for high school students, and derived the theoretical and practical implications.

The Effects of Project Method on Children's Academic Achievement on the Unit of Growing Flowers and Vegetables in Practical Arts (초등학교 실과 '꽃과 채소 가꾸기' 단원에서 프로젝트법이 학업 성취도에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of learning achievement by comparing project approach group and the control group on the unit of growing flowers and vegetables in practical arts education. For this purpose, the experimental study on the unit of growing flowers and vegetables was achieved with 63 students(5th grade 2 classes) in S elementary school. The project approach model (Chung, Sung-bong) was applied to the experimental group, and the traditional model to the control group. To verify the effects of each class, nonequivalent control group post test-only design was applied 10 times. The SPSSWIN(ver 12. 0. 1) was used for analyzing the frequency and t-tests. The results of this study were as follows ; First, there was significant effect of learning achievement(cognitive domain) in the project approach groups. In addition, learning achievement of the experimental group has been showed significant difference about intellectual function and ability but not about knowledge. Second, there was significant effect of learning achievement(psychomotor domain) in the project approach groups. In other words, there has been showed significant difference in basic skill and integrated skill for growing flowers and vegetables but not in elemental skill for planting. Third, as the post test, there existed significant effect(affective domain) in the project approach groups. In other words, there was a meaningful difference in acceptance, value, belief, actualization but not in interest. Based on these results, It is believed that the project approach model in the unit of 'growing flowers and vegetables' is more effective than the traditional learning method in learning achievement of learners' cognitive, psychomotor and affective domain.

  • This study has been pointed out that Information Communication Ethics Education has been mentioned only about a cognitive factor. Then the purpose of this study is verify the effects through the Instructional design of Information Communication Ethics that was compensate the problem. To achieve this, it was included all the cognitive, emotional and active factor of Integrated Character by Thomas Lickona. It has been modified that Information Communication Ethics Test of Lee Chae Young(2009) to be included all the factors of Integrated Character to verify the designed instruction. It has been designed that each steps included the component of Integrated Character using Gerlach & Ely systematic instruction model then, the designed instruction has been applied to the secondary school and verified the effectiveness. As a result, it has been proved that Experimental group is more effective than Control group.

  • Although importance of music education for the mentally retarded children is realized, it is hard to improve study effects for those children with the existing music education methods due to cognitive disorders of the children. In the paper, we propose a system to improve music cognition ability of the mentally retarded children. The system is designed based on the existing MMCP theory. Our system has the following characteristics. First, the system can improve cognitive, physical, social and emotional development as well as development of music cognition ability. Second, the individualized music education is possible for the children. Third, more active and interactive education is possible.

Comparison Shopping Effectiveness Model and its Strategic Usage in e-Commerce (전자상거래 비교구매 효과성 모형과 활용 전략)

  • This research describes the comparison broker's role and its effectiveness measurement framework of comparison shopping. We verified seller-led comparison challenge method provide comparison information of products to buyers more efficiently. Buyer's satisfaction of purchase (S) can be defined as an interactive function between seller's competitiveness vector (P) of products that supplied to the market, and buyer's informed level vector (B) of products that is known from a lot of sources. Then the buyer's informed level can be changed through the information analysis among products by transformation process using comparison matrix (C). So the role of comparison shopping is to construct a comparison matrix and to serve it to the buyers, and to change the buyer's informed level. The changed informed level influences a buyer's satisfaction, that improved satisfaction of purchase is defined as the effectiveness of comparison shopping. As a perfect construction and usage of comparison matrix is impossible, a more efficient method for improving the comparison effectiveness is the comparison challenge. This research shows that comparison shopping makes 9.32% and comparison challenge makes 19.11% enhancement of comparison effectiveness through television market data experiments.

Influence of Social Presence on Online Community Users' Continuance Intention (사회적 실재감이 온라인 커뮤니티 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is an empirical analysis on the relationship between social presence and online community users' continuance intention. Based on Bhattacherjee(2001)'s expectation-confirmation model (ECM) of IT continuance model, we test the influence of social presence on one's intention to continue using online communities. This study sampled 132 online community users. Research hypotheses are tested using the structural equation modelling(SEM) approach. The results of this study demonstrate that user satisfaction is influenced by perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. But, the confirmation of expectation did not affect user satisfaction. And, social presence has direct effects on perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment. Further, social presence has a positive effect on users' continuance intention through mediating effect of perceived usefulness. This study suggests that perceived usefulness should be taken into account when carrying out the operating strategy of online communities.
