Performance Analysis for Reducing Authentication Time in Hand-over (핸드오버시 인증 대기시간 단축을 위한 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, a conventional key exchange method simply performs the key exchange setup step based on discrete algebraic subjects. But the mutual-authentication procedure of wireless PKI for reducing authentication time uses an elliptical curve for a key exchange setup step. Proposed handover method shows reduced handover processing time than conventional method since it can reduce CRL retrieval time. Also, we compared proposed authentication structure and conventional algorithm. and simulation results show that proposed authentication method outperforms conventional algorithm in all environment regardless of call arrival rate. queue service rate. queue size.

  • 최근에 제안되고 있는 원격 서버에 로그인하기 위한 방법은E와 패스워드뿐만 아니라 스마트카드를 함께 사용한다. 기존의 ID 와 패스워드를 사용한 인증은 공격자에 의해 추측이 가능하므로 사용자 가장 공격이 가능하다는 약점을 가지고 있다. 하지만 스마트카드와 ID, 패스워드를 사용하면 ID와 패스워드가 추측가능할지라도 스마트카드를 소지하고 있지 않다면 사용자 가장 공격 (impersonate attack)을 할 수 없다. 이 논문에서는 스마트카드와 ID, 패스워드를 함께 사용하여 원격 서버에 인증과 더불어 안전한 키 교환을 하며, 기존에 다른 논문들에서 언급한 조건들을 모두 만족하면서 안전한 키 교환까지 제안하였다. 기존의 스킴은 해쉬 기반으로 제안 되었으나 이 논문에서 제안한 스킴은 페어링 (pairing) 연산을 기반으로 제안 되었다. 또한, Computational Diffie-Hellman문제를 기반으로 스킴을 제안하여 안전성에 대한 증명이 가능하다 최근에 스마트카드를 사용한 인증에서 요구 되는 성질의 모든 조건을 만족한다는 장점을 가지고 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose a password-based authenticated key exchange protocol which authenticates each other and shares a session key using only a small memorable password between a client and a server over an insecure channel. The proposed protocol allows an authenticated client to freely change a his/her own password. The protocol is also secure against various attacks and provides the perfect forward secrecy. Furthermore, it has good efficiency compared with the previously well-known password-based protocols with the same security requirements.

  • In this paper, we propose a new Two-factor Authentication and Key Exchange(TAKE) protocol that can be applied to low-power PDAs in Public Wireless LAMs using two factor authentication and precomputation. This protocol provides mutual authentication session key establishment, identity privacy, and practical half forward-secrecy. The only computational complexity that the client must perform is one symmetric key encryption and five hash functions during the runtime of the protocol.

  • EAP provides authentication for each entity based on IEEE Std 802.1x Wireless lAN and RADIUS/DIAMETER protocol, and it uses certificate, dual scheme(e.g., password and token) with the authentication method. The password-based authentication scheme for authenticated key exchange is the most widely-used user authentication method due to various advantages, such as human-memorable simplicity, convenience, mobility, A specific hardware device is also unnecessary, This paper discusses user authentication via public networks and proposes the Split Password-based Authenticated Key Exchange (SPAKE), which is ideal for both authenticating users and exchanging session keys when using a subsequent secure communication over untrusted network, And then we provides EAP authentication framework EAP-SPAKE by using it.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of the PKI-based EAI system which is used for delivery of sensitive personal information between business systems. For this purpose, we propose a key exchange protocol with some key process : Diffie-Hellman Schema is used to provide forward secrecy, public key-based digital signature is used for EAI Server authentication, data integrity. In addition, in order to minimize the performance impact on the overall EAI systems. The EAI server was designed simply to be used only as a gateway. This paper shows the implementation of Korea public key authentication algorithm standard and a symmetric encryption algorithm for data encryption.

  • 본 논문에서는 그리드 컴퓨팅에서의 안전한 통신을 위한 양자내성암호 기반 사용자 인증 및 키 교환 프로토콜을 구현하고 성능을 측정한다. 디지털 서명을 통해 사용자를 검증하고 암호키를 교환하여 신뢰할 수 있는 사용자들만이 그리드 컴퓨팅에 참여할 수 있도록 한다. 사용자 인증과 키 교환 과정에 NIST 선정 표준양자내성암호인 ML-DSA와 ML-KEM을 적용하여 양자컴퓨터를 이용한 공격에도 안전할 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 양자내성암호를 적용한 프로토콜이 기존의 현대암호 기반 전자서명이나 키 교환 과정에 비해 양자내성과 동시에 준수한 사용성을 지녔음을 보인다. 이를 통해 그리드 컴퓨팅의 시스템의 P2P 특성에서 기인하는 보안 문제를 해결하고, 기존에 주로 내부망이나 실시간 스트리밍 서비스에서 활용되던 그리드 컴퓨팅의 인터넷 환경으로의 확장 가능성을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 Kerberos 인증 메커니즘과 Kerberos에 공개키기반의 환경을 결합시킨 PKINIT, PKTAPP, PKCROSS을 비교 분석하였다. 각 인증 메커니즘에서 키 교환을 위환 비밀키 및 공개키의 암 복호화, 서명 및 서명검증 등의 횟수를 분석하고 이를 기반으로 실제 인증에 소요되는 연산시간을 비교하였다. 분석 방법 및 견과를 다양한 환경에 적용한 적절한 인증 메커니즘을 선택하는데 활용할 수 있으며, 특히 모바일과 같은 연산능력이 제한되는 환경에 적합한 인증 기법 개발에 적용시키고자 한다.

  • The Key exchange protocols are very crucial tools to provide the secure communication in the broadband satellite access network. They should be required to satisfy various requirements such as security, Key confirmation, and Key freshness. In this paper, we propose Two authenticated key exchange protocols Two Pass EKE-E(Encrypted Key Exchange-Efficient) and Two Pass EKE-S(Encrypted Key Exchange-Secure) are introduced. A basic idea of the protocols is that a password can be represented by modular addition N, and the number of possible modular addition N representing the password is $2^N$ The Two Pass EKE-E is secure against the attacks including main-in-the-middle attack and off-line dictionary attack, and the performance is excellent so as beyond to comparison with other authenticated key exchange protocols. The Two Pass EKE-S is a slight modification of the Two Pass EKE-E. The Two Pass EKE-S provides computational in feasibility for learning the password without having performed off line dictionary attack while preserving the performance of the Two Pass EKE-E.

  • In this paper, proposes Kerberos certification mechanism that improve certification service of PKINIT base that announce in IETF CAT Working Ggroup. Did to certificate other realm because search position of outside realm through DNS and apply X.509 directory certification system, acquire public key from DNS server by chain (CertPath) between realms by certification and Key exchange way that provide service between realms applying X.509, DS/BNS of PKINIT base. In order to provide regional services, Certification and key exchange between realms use Kerberos' symmetric method and Session connection used Directory service to connection X.509 is designed using an asymmetric method. Excluded random number ($K_{rand}$) generation and duplex encryption progress to confirm Client. A Design of Kerberos system that have effect and simplification of certification formality that reduce Overload on communication.
