A Research on Citation Order of Classification Scheme and Its' Application (분류체계 인용순 및 적용에 대한 연구)

  • For the effective classification of complex subjects, a library classification scheme should adopt multiple division principles (or facets). Each of the multiple principles adopted for the division of complex subjects is sequentially applied at each stage of division. The order of application of these multiple principles during the process of division of complex subjects is called citation order. In order for a classification scheme to be consistent and logical, the citation order of division principles applied to classify complex subjects should be concrete and consistent. Especially, in case of enumerative classification system, decisions on citation order to represent complex subjects significantly affect the structure and organization of the classification system. There are basic principles and theoretical canons of the classification theory on the citation order and its application, but they cannot be applied solidly in the process of classification system development for practical reasons. Therefore, this paper first reviews previous works on classification theories regarding citation order, then explores the conditions and circumstances for the application of citation order.

Domain Analysis on Economics by Utilizing Cocitation Analysis of Multiple Authorship (복수저자기반 동시인용분석을 활용한 지적구조 분석: 경제학 분야를 중심으로)

  • The author co-citation analysis is generally based on the frequency of the first author because most citation databases include only the first author in the bibliographic information. In this sense, the purpose of this study is to provide a better knowledge structure by utilizing the multiple authorship of author co-citation analysis. To achieve the purpose of this study, four different data sets are prepared: (1) counting the first author, (2) counting all the author without limiting the total frequency, (3) counting all the author with limiting the total frequency, and (4) counting adjusted frequencies based on the order of author subscription. The findings of this study show that there are clear differences between the knowledge structure counting all the author and the one counting only the first author. In addition, depending on the different methods, there are subtle changes of cluster members for authors.

A Study on the Citation Analysis of Information Resources on Science & Technology (과학기술문헌의 인용분석 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the types of cited materials dependence ratio of foreign information of researchers, and half-life of some cited analysis, Journal articles from four science & technology fields-mechanical, architectural, chemical, electrical-are selected, and the literatures cited by those journal articles are analysed in terms of resource types, languages, publication year of cited analysis. In result, it was found that the order of frequency of citation is scholarly journal, monograph, Proceeding, technical report. And dependence ratio of foreign information of researchers was most higher in the chemical field. Also, it was found that half-life of mechanical is 6.50, that of architectural is 5.45, that of chemical is 9.65, that of electrical is 5.60

A Study on Structure of a Faceted Classification for Organizing Korean Food Information (한식 정보 조직을 위한 패싯 구조화에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a faceted classification that enables the conceptualization and the organization of Korean food information. 23,470 terms were collected, categorized, and analyzed from the table of contents in 776 monographs and directory headings in portal sites related to Korean food. In order to develop the Korean food classification, common properties were analyzed in the process of categorizing terms. Then basic facets and subfacets were defined and assigned, and hierarchies among facets and concepts, citation orders, and notations were decided. As a result, the classification scheme consisted of 16 basic facets and 85 subfacets. The citation order of facets was proposed in order of Personality facet (kinds of dishes), Matter facet (materials, cooking utensils/equipment/containers, and nutrients), Energy facet (cooking processes and techniques, eating sense, type of cooking, table services, and agents of cooking), Space facet (countries/ethnic groups/geography, and eating places), Time facet (situation/purposes, season, time of meals, periods, and ages). The result of this study will be used for organizing, searching, retrieving, and providing Korean food information effectively around the world. Also, it will provide a foundation for developing subject-oriented classification using facet analysis in other disciplines.

  • World-Wide Web으로 인하여 인터넷 상의 다양하고 고품질의 자료들을 교육 자료에 손쉽게 활용할 수 있는 시대가 도래하였다. 그러나 이러한 자료들은 교육적 효과를 극대화시키기 위해서 좀 더 정제되고, 교육과정에 맞는 흐름을 가질 필요가 있다. 이러한 과정의 흐름을 제공하기 위해서는 웹 상에서 분산되어 독립적으로 존재하는 디지털 문서들을 교육 목적에 맞게 새로운 순서, 즉 문맥화된 순서를 가진 자료로 재구성할 수 있어야 하며, 문서간의 부드러운 내용 전개를 위해서 부가적인 설명이나 기존 문서에 빠져 있는 내용들을 보완할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문의 연구과정에서 개발된 가상교육 시스템은 교사가 교육용 지식문서를 작성하여 면대면(face to face) 교육에서는 직접 학생들을 교육할 수 있는 교육 자료로 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 웹을 통해서는 학생 스스로가 부족한 부분을 원하는 시간에 학습할 수 있는 능동적인 교육 환경을 제공할 수 있다. 또한, 가상교육 시스템에 가상문서 개념을 도입함으로써 인터넷 상의 수많은 리소스들을 인용하는 것에 대한 부하를 막을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 상의 디지털 컨텐츠를 전문적인 지식을 가진 교사가 교육과정에 맞게 쉽게 재구성해 줄 수 있도록 가상교육 시스템을 설계 및 구현한 내용에 대해 기술한다.

Characteristics Associated with Citation Rates of the Journal of Korean Orthopaedic Association (An Analysis of Articles between 2001-2015) (대한정형외과학회지에 발표된 논문들의 피인용 횟수와 연관된 특성(2001년부터 2015년까지의 논문 분석))

  • Purpose: No attempt has been made to identify the relationship between the study characteristics and citation rates of articles published in the Journal of the Korean Orthopaedic Association (JKOA). This study classified the study characteristics of articles in the JKOA and analyzed the relationship between the study characteristics and citation rates. Materials and Methods: A cohort study was conducted on all articles published from February 2001 to December 2015. Three independent reviewers classified the articles according to the article type, material, time of the study, design, clinical categories, number of authors, and number of cases. The citation numbers of each article by other journals were taken in January 2020. Univariate analyses were conducted to assess the effect of each characteristic, and multivariate linear regression analysis was performed to analyze the overall relationship between the characteristics and the citation rates. Results: A total of 1,640 articles were published from 2001 to 2015, and 724 articles were cited more than once. The articles published in 2009 had the highest average number of citations. Original articles had the highest citation rates, followed in descending order by surgical techniques and reviews, instructional course lectures, and case reports (p<0.001). Among the case reports, articles dealing with general trauma scored significantly higher average citations (mean=1.5, p=0.006). Among the original articles, articles on general orthopedics had the highest citation rates, followed in order by clinical articles and experimental articles. Among the clinical articles, epidemiologic studies (mean=5.0, p<0.001) and studies on the spine (mean=1.7, p<0.001) recorded significantly higher citation rates than the others. Conclusion: Of all the articles published in the JKOA from 2001 to 2015, articles dealing with general trauma had the highest citation rates among case reports. Among the original articles, epidemiologic studies and studies concerning the spine were cited significantly more than others.

  • This study explored to analyze the winning determinants of the lawsuit cases on the urban and housing redevelopment project based on jurimetric methods. Based on affirm-rate and staircase matrix tables, 441 lawsuit judgments are analyzed. Research findings in affirm-rate analysis indicate that past legal relation, no own defect of accreditation, no ownership or association member status, lapse of period of litigation, and no legal interest are identified as higher rate in order for the reason for plea on the merit. And so are defect on calculation of consent rate, defect in relation with written consent, approval before zoning designation, defect in relation with general meeting, and defect on zoning designation for the issue on the merit. It is noteworthy from the staircase matrix table analysis that the criteria for affecting the lawsuit outcome is determined based on key forecasting variables such as past legal relation and no ownership or association member status. This study intends to provide the implication that the unnecessary disputes can be reduced in the urban and housing redevelopment project by the implementation of jurimetric quantitative analysis methodology from the perspective of empirical law.

  • 여기서 상기 ASME Code에 대하여 간단히 설명하기로 한다. ASME Code 는 첫부분에서 ASME Code의 적용을 받아야 하는 압력용기를 정의하고, 압력용기의 건설에 관한 일반원칙을 설명한후 그 다음에는 세개의 Subsection으로 나뉘어져 있다. 즉 Subsection A General Requirements Subsection B Requirements Pertaining to Methods of Fabrication of Pressure Vessels Subsection C Requirements Pertaining to Classes of Material 여기서 Subsection A는 압력용기 재료나 제작방법의 상위와 관계없이 적용하여야 할 일반적인 요구사항을 규정한 것이며, Subsedction B에서는 압력용기의 제작방법을 용접,리벳팅,단조,경납 땜의 4가지로 나누어 각 제작방법에 따른 특수 요구사항을 규정하였고, 마지막으로 Subsection C 는 재료에 따른 특수 요구사항을 규정한 것이다. 이 각 Subsection은 다시 General, Materials, Design, Fabrication, Inspection and Tests, Stamping and Reports, Pressure Relief Devices로 나누어 이에 대한 각각의 요구사항들을 설명하고 있다. 그러나 이 기술기준에서는 제정방향으로, 다음의 목차에서도 알 수 있는 바와 같이 이들의 순서를 바꾸어 총칙,재료,설계,제작, 검사 및 시험, 압력릴리프장치를 배치한 후 이미 KS B 6231에 제정되어 있는 것은 그 규정을 대부분 그 대로 인용하였고, 그렇지않은 것은 우리의 실정을 참작하여 삭제, 보완, 수정하였다. 삭제한 내용 중 대표적인 것으로 공인검사관(Authorized Inspector) 및 Stamping and Reports 에는 9개의 Mandatory Appendix 와 16개의 Nonmandatory Appendix가 있는데, 이둘 중 이 기술기준에서 필요하다고 생각되는 것은 발췌 수록하였다. 단위에 대해서는 국가시책에 따라 메트릭 시스템을 사용하였고 단위의 환산에서 야기되는 소수점등의 처리는 공학적인 판단에 의거하였다.

Developing a Faceted Classification Scheme Integrated with a Thesaurus for Literature (시소러스를 연계한 문학류 패싯 분류체계 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a faceted classification scheme linked with a thesaurus(FCT) to more effectively organize documents according to subject, by transforming the current Korean Decimal Classification system(KDC) into a faceted classification scheme and linking it with Korea’s National Library Subject Headings. This combination should represent complex subjects more clearly, allow users to change citation order, and facilitate the addition of new subjects to the KDC scheme. Furthermore, by linking a thesaurus to the classification scheme, it is possible to share facets and expand the conceptual level of headings through the thesaurus descriptors.

Vision-based Real-Time Two-dimensional Bar Code Detection System at Long Range (비전 기반 실시간 원거리 2차원 바코드 검출 시스템)

  • In this paper, we propose a real-time two-dimensional bar code detection system even at long range using a vision technique. We first perform short-range detection, and then long-range detection if the short-range detection is not successful. First, edge map generation, image binarization, and connect component labeling (CCL) are performed in order to select a region of interest (ROI). After interpolating the selected ROI using bilinear interpolation, a location symbol pattern is detected as the same as for short-range detection. Finally, the symbol pattern is arranged by applying inverse perspective transformation to localize bar codes. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system successfully detects bar codes at two or three times longer distance than existing ones even at indoor environment.
