In this study, 320 physical therapists were collected and analyzed. The study tool used a self-administered questionnaire to investigate general characteristics and awareness and practice of nosocomial infections. Responses were determined as 5-Likert scales and data were analysed using percentage, independent t-test, ANOVA. As a result of this study, 17.8% of infectious disease management departments were not found, and 41.6% of physical therapists were not educated about nosocomial infection. In addition, physical therapists with sufficient protective equipment for treatment were very low at 25.3%. Thus, in order to increase awareness and practice of nosocomial infection in the future, it is necessary to provide enough protective equipment for the treatment within the hospital, and it is considered that the nosocomial infection education of the physical therapist should be carried out regularly in the hospital itself.

  • In this study, we investigated the influences of teaching practices upon pre-service secondary teachers' perceptions on the learning cycle by their understanding of it. Surveys on their understanding and perceptions of the learning cycle were administered to 37 seniors at the department of chemistry education in two colleges of education before teaching practices, and the survey for perceptions of the learning cycle was given to them after teaching practices. In addition, we selected seven pre-service teachers with decreased perceptions after teaching practices, and interviewed them thoroughly to investigate the factors influencing the decrease of their perceptions. The results revealed that the degree of pre-service secondary teachers' understanding of the learning cycle was not high, but their perceptions on the advantage/disadvantage of the learning cycle, their willingness to implement it, and the external aids influencing implementation were relatively positive before they practiced teaching. However, their positive perceptions more or less decreased after entering the teaching practice and the degree of decrease for those having a higher understanding of the learning cycle was larger than those having a lower understanding of it. The results of the interviews suggested the factors of pre-service teachers, students, curriculum and outside conditions as the causes of the decrease. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

  • This study was conducted to understand the relationship between teacher's game recognition types and the acceptance of student game use in school. We surveyed 250 elementary/middle/high school teachers, school counselors and professional counselors. Four game recognition types have differences in gender, age, game experience, attitude toward game, response to game, and the evaluation of academic influence. When we compared the acceptance of student game use according to teacher's game recognition types, the differences in 'need for supervision', 'willingness to use', 'concern and monitoring' and 'acceptance as alternative activities' were identified. However, all types showed low scores of 'acceptance efficacy'. Finally, we discussed what kind of support would be effective to increase the acceptance of game use in school.

Data were collected from 120 guardians of children who were admitted to the pediatric ward of University Hospital C in D city from July 6 to October 6, 2016 and received conscious sedation as a pretreatment for diagnostic tests. The result showed that the guardians' awareness was relatively low (2.49±0.83) and nursing needs (4.53±0.40) was found to be significantly higher than nursing satisfaction (3.81±0.56)(p<.001). Awareness showed a significant positive correlation with nursing satisfaction (r=.18, p=.048) and there was a significant positive correlation between nursing needs and satisfaction (r=.20, p=.033). This result suggested that in order to improve the nursing satisfaction of the guardians, it is necessary to understand the awareness and nursing needs of the guardians on conscious sedation. In addition, the development of customized nursing intervention should be carried out based on the awareness and nursing needs.

  • This study investigates the practitioners' perception of Landscape Education in the universities in order to satisfy the demands of the rapidly changing industry. The survey was conducted for 257 practitioners to analyze the overall perception of Landscape Education, the importance and utilization of each course in universities, and the importance and utilization of each landscape process step. The overall perception of Landscape Education was slightly negative, and more practical education was demanded to improve the students' adaptability on the job. Practitioners suggested that universities should teach more practical expertise and related fields. They re-educated deficient aspects such as practical skills, computer techniques and legislational knowledge through the new employee training. The survey also showed that professors should be most responsible for a better education; however, students and practitioners have to endeavor together. According to the findings, planting design, landscape design, landscape materials, landscape planning and landscape construction as well as management were important. They are also considered as practical courses. However, practitioners perceived that university education was not sufficient for the constructional process. This means that Landscape Education in the universities has been more focused on planning and design. Because the universities are essentially for the research and study, changing the curriculum as practitioners suggested is not necessary. Nevertheless, it suggests for more practical education and balanced curriculum including construction and management that should be seriously considered. This study was focused on the practitioners' perception. Many of the respondents were from Seoul metropolitan area, therefore, it's hard to generalize the findings. A further study should be considered that would include instructors as well as students.

Subjects in their 20s to 50s were selected through the convenience sampling method and eleven questions were set as factors and answered via self-administered questionnaires. To determine statistical significance, analysis of variance was used with the level of significance set at 0.05. The subjects' perception of the association between chronic diseases and oral health were analyzed with respect to their health behaviors. Individuals with relatively higher stress levels demonstrated higher levels of perception levels (p<0.05). Public education regarding the association between chronic diseases and oral health has not been ideally effective in South Korea. Thus, the general public's perceptions of the association between chronic diseases and oral health should be revised. In addition aspects regarding this matter should be enhanced within oral health education programs which often only focus on demonstrating the importance of oral health management so that individuals can get sufficient information on the association between chronic diseases and oral health.

Students majoring in Physiotherapy (3.00) had the highest perception, and those majored in Dental engineering(2.37) had the lowest perception, and there was a difference in the degree of perception of IoT by major (p=0.024). For the forth industrial revolution, 54.5% of students are preparing, and lack of interest (42.9%) is the most difficult reason to prepare, and 50.6% of educational experience and 60.9% of VR&AR game experience have experience.
