Optimization Method for the Design of LCD Back-Light Unit (LCD Back-Light Unit 설계를 위한 최적화 기법)

  • Various types of ray-tracing methods are used to predict the quantity measures of radiation illumination, the uniformity of illumination, radiation performance of LCD BLU(Hack-Light Unit). The uniformity of radiation illumination is one of the most important design factor of BLU and is usually controlled by the diffusive-ink pattern printed on the bottom of light-guide panel of BLU. Therefore it is desirable to produce an improved (ideally, the optimal) ink pattern to achieve the best uniformity of radiation illumination. In this paper, we applied the Welder-Mead simplex-search method among various direct search method to compute the optimal ink pattern. Direct search methods are widely used to optimize the functions which are often highly nonlinear, unpredictably discontinuous, and nondifferentiable, The ink-pattern controlling the uniformity of radiation illumination is one type of these functions. In this paper, we found that simplex search methods are well suited to computing the optimal diffusive-ink pattern. In extensive numerical testing, we have found the simplex search method to be reasonably efficient and reliable at computing the optimal diffusive-ink pattern. The result also suggests that optimization can improve the functionality of simulation tools which are used to design LCD BLU.

Printed Numeric Character Recognition using Fractal Dimension and Modified Henon Attractor (프랙탈 차원과 수정된 에농 어트랙터를 이용한 인쇄체 숫자인식)

  • This paper propose the new method witch is adopted in extracting character features and recognizing numeric characters using fractal dimension and modified Henon Attractor of the Chaos Theory. Firstly, it gets features of mesh feature, projection feature and cross distance feature from numeric character images And their feature hi converted into time series data. Then using the modified Henon system suggested in this paper, it gets last features of numeric character image after calculating Natural Measure and information bit which art meant fractal dimension. Finally, numeric character recognition is performed by statistically finding out the each information bit showing the minimum difference against the normalized pattern database. An Experimental result shows 100% character classification rates for 10 digits and 90% of recognition rates in real situation and the recognition speed was 26 characters per second.

A Recognition of the Printed Alphabet by Using Nonogram Puzzle (노노그램 퍼즐을 이용한 인쇄체 영문자 인식)

  • In this paper we embody a system that recognizes the printed alphabet of two font types (Batang, Dodum) inputted by a black-and-white CCD camera and converts it into an editable text form. The image of the inputted printed sentences is binarized, then the rows of each sentence are separated through the vertical projection using the Histogram method, and the height of the characters are normalized to 48 pixels. With the reverse application of the basic principle of the Nonogram puzzle to the individual normalized character, the character is covered with the pixel-based squares, representing the characteristics of the character as the numerical information of the Nonogram puzzle in order to recognize the character through the comparison with the standard pattern information. The test of 2609 characters of font type Batang and 1475 characters of font type Dodum yielded a 100% recognition rate.

  • 현재 결정질 실리콘 태양전지의 전 후면 전극의 형성은 스크린 프린팅 방법이 주를 이루고 있다. 스크린 프린팅 방법은 쉽고 빠르게 인쇄가 가능한 반면 단가가 높고 금속 페이스트에 첨가된 여러 혼합물에 의해서 전극과 기판 사이의 저항이 크다는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 스크린 프린팅 방법으로 태양전지의 seed layer를 인쇄하고, Cu도금을 진행함으로써 태양전지의 전기적 특성을 비교하였다. 주요 전극 형성을 Cu 도금을 사용함으로써 전극과 기판사이의 저항을 감소시키고 값비싼 Ag페이스트를 값싼 Cu로 대체함으로써 가격을 낮출 수 있는 장점이 있다. 실험에 사용된 Si 웨이퍼 특성은 $156{\times}156$ mm2, 200 ${\mu}m$, 0.5-3.0 ${\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ and p-type 웨이퍼를 사용하였다. 웨이퍼는 표면조직화, p-n접합 형성, 반사방지막 코팅을 하였으며 스크린 프린팅 방법을 이용해 전 후면 전극을 인쇄하고 열처리 과정을 통해 전극을 형성하였다. 이 후 전면에 Cu도금을 실행하여 태양전지를 완성하였다. 완성된 태양전지는 솔라 시뮬레이터 및 TLM패턴을 이용하여 전기적 특성을 분석하였으며, SEM과 linescan, 광학현미경 등을 이용하여 전극을 분석하였다.

  • Reading Pen is used mostly in educational purpose, yet its possibility is great as an input device for various IT devices. Reading Pen recognizes tiny dot patterns printed in papers, converts the patterns to corresponding codes, and plays audio contents that match the codes. Recognizing dot patterns and converting to the codes are the main function of Reading Pens, on which we focus and propose a novel algorithm. Such technology is never open to public and this paper is the first open attempt in this area. We test the algorithm and obtain 85% recognition ratio.

  • 전자산업에서 소자를 제작하는 핵심공정으로써, 패턴을 형성하는 방식은 식각 마스크를 통해 이루어진다. 공정 순서는 원하는 물질을 증착한 후 사진공정 (photolithograpy)을 통하여 원하는 패턴의 감광제 식각마스크 (etch mask)를 형성하게 된다. 이후, 습식식각이나 건식식각을 통하여 물질의 불필요한 부분을 제거한 후 최종적으로 감광제 식각마스크를 제거하여 원하는 물질의 패턴을 얻게 된다. 최근에 소개된 잉크젯 프린팅 기술 (inkjet printing technology)은 나노 잉크를 이용하여 사진공정과 식각공정을 이용하지 않고, 직접 나노잉크를 분사하여 패턴을 형성하는 방법으로, 패터닝 공정을 단순화 시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 각종 전자 산업의 환경오염물을 획기적으로 줄일 수 있는 친환경기술이다. 특히, OLED, O-TFT, RF-ID, PCB 분야 등 다양한 전자산업분야의 제조기술로서 응용하고자, 전도성 폴리머나 실버 (silver) 나노파티클 잉크를 이용한 전도성 라인 패터닝 (line patterning)에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 강연에서는 친환경 생산공정기술 측면에서의 잉크젯기술을 분석하고, 기술의 구성요소, 응용분야, 기술 동향에 관해서 소개하고, 또한 현재 한국생산기술연구원에 진행하고 있는 잉크젯 프린팅 기술 기반의 인쇄전자 분야에 관한 내용을 소개한다.

  • Electrochrominm is a phenomenon of reversible change in optical properties produced electrochromically. Among the several organic type electrochromic displays(ECD), the one based on viologen solution is still attractive and become of the possibility for choosing various colors by introducing different substituents in viologen molecules. But these has been rather a severe problem in this type of ECD, which is the erasing failure caused by the recrystallized molecule sticking to the display electrode.This paper was investigated on developing a new class of composite materials which consists of the mixture of BV2+ . 2BF4-, TMPD with TBABF4 as supporting electrolyte to overcome the above mentioned problem of viologen solution.

  • PSR ink is used to insulation coating material that heat resistance is. The use purpose is used for bridge prevention, circuit protection, stabilization of insulation. Heat-cured resin was used mainly on the materials of PSR inks. But, UV-curing type resin in used. Also, because of recently environmental problem, ink is going to water type. Purpose of this study is to develop PSR ink that can develop in pure water. and experiment did that do from that find suitable oligomer and monomer and does brand ratio differ. Specially Knew that is extent water soluble UV resin develop possible is DPHA 10~50% that A/A1924 is 50~90wt %, monomer. As a result, when ratio of A/A1924 and DPHA low viscosity epoxy resin is 5:1.5:1.5, could get high sensibility pattern repeatability, tack and alkali-resistance.

  • In this work, we developed a high resolution printing technique based on transferring a pattern from a PDMS stamp to a Pd and Au substrate by microcontact printing Also, we fabricated various 2D metallic and polymeric nano patterns with the feature resolution of sub-micrometer scale by using the method of microcontact printing (${\mu}$CP) based on soft lithography. Silicon masters for the micro molding were made by e-beam lithography. Composite poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) molds were composed of a thin, hard layer supported by soft PDMS layer. From this work, it is certificated that composite PDMS mold and undercutting technique play an important role in the generation of a clear SAM nanopattern on Pd and Au substrate.

  • The goals of this papper are not only to maximize of performance but also to reduce the response time for the real-time printed alphabets recognition system using the backpropagation algorithm in the artificial neural network. The Genesis board and MIL(Matrox Image Library) package were used to real-time acquisition, processing and display of images. Through this experiment proved the possibility of real-time recognition processing by comparing response times of the system and proposing the method to reduce of order of the output vectors.
