  • This study conducted semiotic analysis of drama . Based on Paradigm, Syntagm concept, I apprehended the characteristics of descriptive structure of drama, characters and contemplated on ideology reflected in the drama. As a result, it has approaching method of Critical Pluralism which strongly exposes resistance ideology. The drama intensified Classical Ideology such as gender role, hero, and family ideology, also it consists of Humane Introspection Ideology such as self-understanding, mutual-understanding, and self-serving bias.

  • It is not easy to understand that the drama with various aspects of political-economics and psychology in a certain popular cultural contents. People, however, does want to reconstruct the meaning of the real world and the hyper - reality, it means cross of oldness and newness, through the films. We try to analyze in religious/philosophical aspect with hybrid narrative, characters and condensed meaning in series. This try shows a good example way of understanding series which on the border line of newness and oldness.

  • This study aims to understand how a global corporation's storytelling-based curriculum is developed for improving English proficiency. Little research has been done from the perspectives of global corporation, and a curriculum of storytelling on Stein and Glenn (1979)'s model was implemented inside English Language Education Program of Samsung Display. 10 participants employed at the global corporation were taught by two instructors during the first semester of 2017 language learning program. The curriculum consisted of three modules: event focused, structure focused, character focused. Storytelling elements of each module were explicitly planned and taught by two instructors. All classes were audio-recorded and observed by the other researchers. It was found that there is a need for improving storytelling proficiency in the global corporation, and that storytelling skills can be teachable, learnable, and assessable.

  • Hamel has a scholastic value as the first person, who announces Jeju and Korea to Europe. However, there has been little research on developing digital contents except a few books about Hamel. We develop an educational game on PDA using Hamel, based on Hamel character, Jeju's unique culture, multimedia technology, and so on. Compared with the previous games, it is different from the form of gathering points and has various game scenarios through interactions between Hamel character and game space. The structure of this game, which connects Jeju culture and cyber space together, represents the form of a digital storytelling. You can study through this game. It uses quizzes about Jeju culture, crossword puzzles, finding a sequence, finding differences between two pictures to teach users, and fixing pieces of a figure, etc. When we made the game, we divided it into some independent modules to make new game series easily using contents of the other provinces.

  • Hologram technology is widely applied in entertainment contents for public, no more remained in specific technological area for minority experts. Expecially, K-POP entertainment contents increasingly adopt hologram images. These contents use hologram technology as a part to arouse spectacles or represent idols as hologram characters. In this study, spectacles and aura of K-POP hologram concerts of SM Entertainment which runs stably in certain period were analyzed, so that it could recognized the differentiation strategy distinguished only in hologram concerts. Thus, the setting of hologram concerts alienates seats from the stage so that maximize distance, and the aura of idol characters strengthens through fantasy of escape from reality. Hologram concerts maximize fantasy through exposing tricks rather than concealing it. Hologram concerts enhance image of Korea as ICT leader, overcome physical and geological limitation of 'Korean Wave' to globalize, and propose examples of popularization of convergence contents.

The Challenges of AI Ethics and Human Identity Reproduced by Global Content: Focusing on Narrative Analysis of Netflix Documentary (글로벌 콘텐츠가 재현하는 AI 윤리와 인간 정체성의 과제: 넷플릭스 다큐 <소셜딜레마>의 서사 분석을 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to diagnose the issues of AI ethics in global content and to discuss what kind of discourse is needed to strengthen human identity. To this end, the study selected Netflix original content "The Social Dilemma" for analysis and adopted narrative analysis as the research method. The analysis results confirmed that "Social Dilemma" showed the structure of a traditional current affairs documentary and mainly used experts and statistical data to develop the story. It also reinforced core content claims by enumerating domestic and foreign cases such as the 2021 Myanmar massacre and the spread of fake news. In addition, the relationship between the characters clearly revealed the binary opposition between developers and media companies as well as users and advertisers. For the solution to the problem, strong regulations on businesses and the suspension of social media use were reached. However, "The Social Dilemma" merely pointed out the misuse of AI technology and had a narrative that ignored human identity and social relationships. Such results raise the need for creating contents that emphasize the importance of human sociality, relationships, and learning ability in the age of AI.

  • 영상작품에서 나날이 모션캡쳐기술의 응용이 늘어가면서, CG캐릭터 또한 사람들의 마음에 가상의 영역을 넘어선 존재감을 부여하고 있다. 최근 일본방송에서는 애니메이션 캐릭터의 실시간 텔레비전 방송이 진행되었다. 이러한 형식을 통해 사람의 감각기관을 자극해 움직여 관객과 애니메이션캐릭터의 상호작용을 현실화 시키려 하였다. 모션캡쳐기술의 빠른 발전은 현실세계와 가상세계의 소통을 촉진하고 있는 요수중의 하나로 볼 수 있다. 본문은 모션캡쳐기술의 실시간 방송의 발전 및 가상 캐릭터의 현실 생활에 대한 영향에 대해 연구 분석을 진행하여 보았다.

  • TV sitcom animation is a immensely popular to any religion and age, sex. The five yellow main characters and a great amount of sub characters appear to tell their broad stories every sequence. It makes people laugh using parody and pastiche with the American social subjects and political issues. This paper examines the study of story structures for sitcom animation and main factors of the Simpsons' popularity. The case works are focused on 'The future of korean TV sitcom animation'.

  • 본 연구는 유튜브 조회수 20억뷰를 돌파하고 기네스북에 오른 강남스타일 뮤직비디오의 시각적 몰입감에 대한 분석을 통해 이를 극대화하는 전략을 찾고자 한다. 분석 결과 뮤직비디오는 댄스 및 퍼포먼스, 출연자와 스타일, 장소 배경 등의 콘셉트가 일관성이 있고 창의적일수록, 주요인물의 등장순서와 배치, 비주얼의 양적 질적 변화, 청각 중심이 시각에 일치되어 기승전결이 고조될수록 시각적 몰입감이 극대화되었다. 향후 제 2, 제 3의 강남스타일 등 한류(韓流)와 유튜브 진출을 목적으로 하는 뮤직비디오 제작을 위해서는 창의적 '시각적 콘셉트'를 발굴하고, 검증된 '시각적 기승전결'을 강화하여 시각적 몰입감을 극대화하는 전략이 필요하다.

  • 서울남부지방법원 2012나4904 손해배상 판결판결은 일반적인 어문저작물 표절과 달리 포괄적 비문언적 유사성을 인정받은 사건이다. 실질적 유사성에서 포괄적 비문언적 유사성의 분석을 (1) 등장인물, (2) 줄거리와 플롯, (3) 에피소드 별로 분석하여 표절임을 인정하고 있다. 창작물을 구성하는 사건과 그 배열 형태를 가리키는 플롯은 소설의 창작 요소 중 매우 중요한 부분임에도 표절의 판정에서 거의 고려되지 않아왔다. 본 사건은 특히 이종 장르 간의 플롯을 표절한 경우 법원이 어떻게 판결을 내렸는가에 대한 중요한 자료로 검토할 가치를 지니고 있다.
