AI based complex sensor application study for energy management in WTP (정수장에서의 에너지 관리를 위한 AI 기반 복합센서 적용 연구)

  • The most necessary thing for the optimal operation of a water purification plant is to accurately predict the pattern and amount of tap water used by consumers. The required amount of tap water should be delivered to the drain using a pump and stored, and the required flow rate should be supplied in a timely manner using the minimum amount of electrical energy. The short-term demand forecasting required from the point of view of energy optimization operation among water purification plant volume predictions has been made in consideration of seasons, major periods, and regional characteristics using time series analysis, regression analysis, and neural network algorithms. In this paper, we analyzed energy management methods through AI-based complex sensor applicability analysis such as LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) and GRU (Gated Recurrent Units), which are types of cyclic neural networks.

  • WPS(Wearable Personal Station) for next generation PC can define as a core terminal of 'Ubiquitous Computing' that include information processing and network function and overcome spatial limitation in acquisition of new information. As a way to acquire significant dynamic gesture data of user from haptic devices, traditional gesture recognizer based on desktop-PC using wire communication module has several restrictions such as conditionality on space, complexity between transmission mediums(cable elements), limitation of motion and incommodiousness on use. Accordingly, in this paper, in order to overcome these problems, we implement hand gesture recognition system using fuzzy algorithm and neural network for Post PC(the embedded-ubiquitous environment using blue-tooth module and WPS). Also, we propose most efficient and reasonable hand gesture recognition interface for Post PC through evaluation and analysis of performance about each gesture recognition system. The proposed gesture recognition system consists of three modules: 1) gesture input module that processes motion of dynamic hand to input data 2) Relational Database Management System(hereafter, RDBMS) module to segment significant gestures from input data and 3) 2 each different recognition modulo: fuzzy max-min and neural network recognition module to recognize significant gesture of continuous / dynamic gestures. Experimental result shows the average recognition rate of 98.8% in fuzzy min-nin module and 96.7% in neural network recognition module about significantly dynamic gestures.

Face Tracking Method based on Neural Oscillatory Network Using Color Information (컬러 정보를 이용한 신경 진동망 기반 얼굴추적 방법)

  • This paper proposes a real-time face detection and tracking system that uses neural oscillators which can be applied to access regulation system or control systems of user authentication as well as a new algorithm. We study a way to track faces using the neural oscillatory network which imitates the artificial neural net of information handing ability of human and animals, and biological movement characteristic of a singular neuron. The system that is suggested in this paper can broadly be broken into two stages of process. The first stage is the process of face extraction, which involves the acquisition of real-time RGB24bit color video delivering with the use of a cheap webcam. LEGION(Locally Excitatory Globally Inhibitory)algorithm is suggested as the face extraction method to be preceded for face tracking. The second stage is a method for face tracking by discovering the leader neuron that has the greatest connection strength amongst neighbor neuron of extracted face area. Along with the suggested method, the necessary element of face track such as stability as well as scale problem can be resolved.

Generation of High-Resolution Chest X-rays using Multi-scale Conditional Generative Adversarial Network with Attention (주목 메커니즘 기반의 멀티 스케일 조건부 적대적 생성 신경망을 활용한 고해상도 흉부 X선 영상 생성 기법)

  • In the medical field, numerical imbalance of data due to differences in disease prevalence is a common problem. It reduces the performance of a artificial intelligence network, leading to difficulties in learning a network with good performance. Recently, generative adversarial network (GAN) technology has been introduced as a way to address this problem, and its ability has been demonstrated by successful applications in various fields. However, it is still difficult to achieve good results in solving problems with performance degraded by numerical imbalances because the image resolution of the previous studies is not yet good enough and the structure in the image is modeled locally. In this paper, we propose a multi-scale conditional generative adversarial network based on attention mechanism, which can produce high resolution images to solve the numerical imbalance problem of chest X-ray image data. The network was able to produce images for various diseases by controlling condition variables with only one network. It's efficient and effective in that the network don't need to be learned independently for all disease classes and solves the problem of long distance dependency in image generation with self-attention mechanism.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the intention of the inquirer from the single text type question in Goal-oriented dialogue. Goal-Oriented Dialogue system means a dialogue system that satisfies the user's specific needs via text or voice. The intention analysis process is a step of analysing the user's intention of inquiry prior to the answer generation, and has a great influence on the performance of the entire Goal-Oriented Dialogue system. The proposed model was used for a daily chemical products domain and Korean text data related to the domain was used. The analysis is divided into a speech-act which means independent on a specific field concept-sequence and which means depend on a specific field. We propose a classification method using the word embedding model and the CNN as a method for analyzing speech-act and concept-sequence. The semantic information of the word is abstracted through the word embedding model, and concept-sequence and speech-act classification are performed through the CNN based on the semantic information of the abstract word.

Artificial Intelligence to forecast new nurse turnover rates in hospital (인공지능을 이용한 신규간호사 이직률 예측)

  • In this study, authors predicted probability of resignation of newly employed nurses using TensorFlow, an open source software library for numerical computation and machine learning developed by Google, and suggested strategic human resources management plan. Data of 1,018 nurses who resigned between 2010 and 2017 in single university hospital were collected. After the order of data were randomly shuffled, 80% of total data were used for machine leaning and the remaining data were used for testing purpose. We utilized multiple neural network with one input layer, one output layer and 3 hidden layers. The machine-learning algorithm correctly predicted for 88.7% of resignation of nursing staff with in one year of employment and 79.8% of that within 3 years of employment. Most of resigned nurses were in their late 20s and 30s. Leading causes of resignation were marriage, childbirth, childcare and personal affairs. However, the most common cause of resignation of nursing staff with in one year of employment were maladaptation to the work and problems in interpersonal relationship.

유리화 비정형 탄소(vitreous carbon)를 이용하여 제작한 전계방출 소자의 균일성 증진방법

  • 전계방출을 이용한 평판 표시장치는 CRT가 가진 장점을 모두 갖는 동시에 얇고 가벼우며 낮은 전력소모로 완벽한 색을 구현할 수 있는 차세대 표시장치로서 이에 대한 여국가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 여기에 사용되는 음극물질로서 실리콘이나 몰리 등을 팁모양으로 제작하여 사용해 왔다. 하지만 잔류가스에 의한 역스퍼터링이나 화학적 반응에 의해서 전계방출 성능이 점차 저하되는 등의 해결해야할 많은 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 탄소계 재료로서 다이아몬드, 다이아몬드상 카본 등을 이용하려는 노력이 진행되어 왔다. 이중 유리화 비정형 탄소는 다량의 결함을 가지고 있는 유리질의 고상 탄소 재로로서, 전기전도도가 우수하면서 outgassing이 적고 기계적 강도가 뛰어나며 고온에서도 화학적으로 안정하여 전계방출 소자의 음극재료로서 알맞은 것으로 생각된다. 유리화 비정형 탄소가루를 전기영동법으로 기판에 코팅하여 전계방출 소자를 제작하였다. 전기영동 용액으로 이소프로필알코올에 질산마그네슘과 소량의 증류수, 유리화 비정형 탄소분말을 섞어주었고 기판으로는 몰리(Mo)가 증착된 유리를 사용하였다. 균일한 증착을 위해서 증착후 역전압을 걸어 주는 방법과 증착 후 플라즈마 처리를 하는 등의 여러 가지 방법을 사용했다. 전계방출 전류는 1$\times$10-7Torr이사에서 측정하였다. 1회 제작된 용액으로 반복해서 증착한 횟수에 따라 표면의 거치기, 입자의 분포, 전계방출 측정 결과 등의 차이가 관찰되었다. 발광이미지는 전압에 따라 변화하였고, 균일한 발광을 관찰하기 위해서 오랜 시간동안 aging 과정을 거쳐야 했다. 그리고 구 모양의 양극을 사용해서 위치를 변화시키며 시동 전기장을 관찰하여 위치에 따른 전계방출의 차이를 조사하여 발광의 균일성을 알 수 있었다.on microscopy로 분석하였으며 구조 분석은 X-선 회절분석, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy 그리고Auger electron spectroscope로 하였다. 증착된 산화바나듐 박막의 전기화학적 특성을 분석하기 위하여 리튬 메탈을 anode로 하고 EC:DMC=1:1, 1M LiPF6 액체 전해질을 사용한 Half-Cell를 구성하여 200회 이상의 정전류 충 방전 시험을 행하였다. Half-Cell test 결과 박막의 결정성과 표면상태에 따라 매우 다른 전지 특성을 나타내었다.도상승율을 갖는 경우가 다른 베이킹 시나리오 모델에 비해 효과적이라 생각되며 초대 필요 공급열량은 200kW 정도로 산출되었다. 실질적인 수치를 얻기 위해 보다 고차원 모델로의 해석이 필요하리라 생각된다. 끝으로 장기적인 관점에서 KSTAR 장치의 베이킹 계획도 살펴본다.습파라미터와 더불어, 본 연구에서 새롭게 제시된 주기분할층의 파라미터들이 모형의 학습성과를 높이기 위해 함께 고려된다. 한편, 이러한 학습과정에서 추가적으로 고려해야 할 파라미터 갯수가 증가함에 따라서, 본 모델의 학습성과가 local minimum에 빠지는 문제점이 발생될 수 있다. 즉, 웨이블릿분석과 인공신경망모형을 모두 전역적으로 최적화시켜야 하는 문제가 발생한다. 본 연구에서는 이 문제를 해결하기 위해서, 최근 local minimum의 가능성을 최소화하여 전역적인 학습성과를 높여 주는 인공지능기법으로서 유전자알고리즘기법을 본 연구이 통합모델에 반영하였다. 이에 대한 실증사례 분석결과는 일일 환율예측문제를 적용하였을 경우, 기존의 방법론보다 더 나운 예측성과를 타나내었다.pective" to workflow architectural discussions. Comparative Analysis by Batch Size when Diagnosing Pneumonia on Chest X-Ray Image using Xception Modeling (Xception 모델링을 이용한 흉부 X선 영상 폐렴(pneumonia) 진단 시 배치 사이즈별 비교 분석)

  • In order to quickly and accurately diagnose pneumonia on a chest X-ray image, different batch sizes of 4, 8, 16, and 32 were applied to the same Xception deep learning model, and modeling was performed 3 times, respectively. As a result of the performance evaluation of deep learning modeling, in the case of modeling to which batch size 32 was applied, the results of accuracy, loss function value, mean square error, and learning time per epoch showed the best results. And in the accuracy evaluation of the Test Metric, the modeling applied with batch size 8 showed the best results, and the precision evaluation showed excellent results in all batch sizes. In the recall evaluation, modeling applied with batch size 16 showed the best results, and for F1-score, modeling applied with batch size 16 showed the best results. And the AUC score evaluation was the same for all batch sizes. Based on these results, deep learning modeling with batch size 32 showed high accuracy, stable artificial neural network learning, and excellent speed. It is thought that accurate and rapid lesion detection will be possible if a batch size of 32 is applied in an automatic diagnosis study for feature extraction and classification of pneumonia in chest X-ray images using deep learning in the future.

A Comparative Performance Analysis of Spark-Based Distributed Deep-Learning Frameworks (스파크 기반 딥 러닝 분산 프레임워크 성능 비교 분석)

  • By piling up hidden layers in artificial neural networks, deep learning is delivering outstanding performances for high-level abstraction problems such as object/speech recognition and natural language processing. Alternatively, deep-learning users often struggle with the tremendous amounts of time and resources that are required to train deep neural networks. To alleviate this computational challenge, many approaches have been proposed in a diversity of areas. In this work, two of the existing Apache Spark-based acceleration frameworks for deep learning (SparkNet and DeepSpark) are compared and analyzed in terms of the training accuracy and the time demands. In the authors' experiments with the CIFAR-10 and CIFAR-100 benchmark datasets, SparkNet showed a more stable convergence behavior than DeepSpark; but in terms of the training accuracy, DeepSpark delivered a higher classification accuracy of approximately 15%. For some of the cases, DeepSpark also outperformed the sequential implementation running on a single machine in terms of both the accuracy and the running time.

  • This paper presents a system which recognizes dynamic hand gestures on-line for controlling motion of numan avatar in virtual environment(VF). A dynamic hand gesture is a method of communication between a computer and a human being who uses gestures, especially both hands and fingers. A human avatar consists of 32 degree of freedom(DOF) for natural motion in VE and navigates by 8 pre-defined dynamic hand gestures. Inverse kinematics and dynamic kinematics are applied for real-time motion control of human avatar. In this paper, we apply a fuzzy min-max neural network and feature analysis method using fuzzy logic for on-line dynamic hand gesture recognition.
