미경산 한우에 있어서 수태율증진을 위한 hCG처리효과

  • 본 연구는 한우에 있어서 인공수정후 수태율증진을 위한 기초자료를 확보할 목적으로 성숙 미경산 한우의 발정동기화를 위해 CIDR(EAZI-BREED CIDR Plus, USA)를 7일간 질내에 삽입하였고, CIDR처리 제 6일째에 PGF2$\alpha$(lutlyase, USA)제제 5 $m\ell$을 근육주사하여 발정이 유기된 92%의 개체를 인공수정을 실시하였다. 수태율증진을 위해 무처리구를 두었고, hCG처리구(Chorulon, Intervet, Netherlands)는 2000IU를 근육 주사하였으며, CIDR처리구에는 Estradiol-17$\beta$의 캡슐을 제거한 CIDR를 수정후 7일부터 일주일간 질내에 삽입 처리하여 각 처리당 15두씩 총 45두의 한우를 실험에 공시하였다. 발정이 유기된 개체는 인공수정후 30일까지 2일 간격으로 채혈하여 혈중 Progesterone, IGF, IGF-II 및 cortisol 농도를 RIA법으로 분석하였으며 수정 후 60일 이후에는 직장검사법으로 임신감정을 실시하였다. 수정후 수태율은 대조구와 CIDR 처리구에서는 평균 62%였으나 hOG처리구는 73%로서 대조구에 비해 유의적으로 수태율이 높게 나타났다. 이때의 혈중 progesterone농도를 분석한 결과, 대조구에 CIDR 처리구의 수정후 7일째부터 증가하기 시작하여 제 12일째에서 평균 5.5ng/$m\ell$까지 증가하다가 그 이후 재발정 예정일일 21일째에 다소 감소되다가 다시 증가되어 일정한 수준으로 유지되었다 그러나 hCG처리구의 경우 수정후 5일부터 progesterone이 증가하다가 제 15일까지 약 10ng/$m\ell$까지 높은 progesterone이 유지되었다. 이와 같은 결과로 보아 hCG는 혈중 progesterone농도를 증가시킴으로써 난소내 임신황체의 progestorone분비 능을 촉진시키는 작용을 하는 것으로 사료되나, 한편 혈중 IGF I과 IGF-II농도는 대조구, hCG처리구 및 CIDR 처리구간의 차이가 없이 수정 후 제10일까지는 다소 높은 수준이었으나 그 이후 감소되는 현상으로 혈중 progesterone농도와는 부의 상관관계를 보였다. 따라서 IGF-I과 IGF-II는 혈중 progesterone의 농도를 인위적으로 조절하거나 황체의 progesterone분비기능을 직접 조절하는 역할은 하지 않는 것으로 사료되며, 특히 초기 임신의 수태율에 직접적으로 영향이 없는 것으로 사료된다. 또한 혈중 cortisol농도는 처리간의 차이는 확인할 수 없으나 임신과 비임신간의 혈중 cortisol농도는 유의적으로 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 실험의 결과로 인공수정이나 수정란이식 및 체세포복제 수정란뿐만 아니라 형질전환 수정란의 이식후 수태율을 증진시켜 첨단기술의 조기정착을 위해 이식 후 7일째나 인공수정 후 7일째 hCG제제를 근육주사로 간단하게 처리함으로써 수태율을 크게 개선될 수 있으며 이것은 난소의 황체기능 즉, 황체로부터 충분한 progesterone을 분비할 수 있는 내분비적 환경을 제공하는 것으로 사료된다.

Studies on the Rearing with Artificial Diet in the Silkworm, Bombyx mori L. -Electrophoretic Sepatarion of Esterase or Phosphatase along the Growth of Larvae- (가잠의 인공사료육에 관한 연구 -유충발육에 따른 Esterase 및 Phosphatase의 전기영동상-)

  • The Electrophoretic separation in agarose gel on the esterase and acid phosphatase of blood, midgut and silk gland was carried out with 2 original variginal varieties and 7 F$_1$ hybrids. 1. The midgut of larvae fed on mulberry leaves showed one or two more esterase bands than that of larvae fed on artificial diet. 2. The midgut of C 15 larvae being excellently respondent to artificial diet showed one or two more esterase bands than that of larvae being bad respondent to artificial diet. 3. Electrophoretic separation of esterase bands appeared to be greatly different among newly hatched larvae, 1st and 2nd install larvae of F$_1$hybrids. However the difference among the silkworm varieties was not recognized. 4. According to the change in rearing temperature, the number of the active band of midgut esterase was varied. At the temperature of 28$^{\circ}C$ 5 active esterase bands were found. At temperature of 35$^{\circ}C$ 4 bands were noted at 3rd install and 6 or 7 bands at 4th instar. 5. No similar esterase bands conld be found among midgut, blood and silkgland. There are five esterase bands in the midgut, one in blood and three in silkgland. 6. There was rather small difference in acid phosphatase types of midgut and blood according to varieties and rearing temperature. No active band was shown in silkgland. In midgut, there was one acid phosphatase band at 3rd install, two at 4th instar and three at 5th instar. In blood, One active band at 3rd or 4th instar and three bands at 5th inatar were detected.

Studies on Food Habit Mutation in the Silkworm (I). The Origin and Characteristics of Polyphagous Strain Fb in Bombyx mori. (식성이상잠에 관한 연구 I. 광식성계통 Fb잠의 유래와 성상)

  • Studies were carried out to report breeding procedure and characteristics of Fb, a strain of silkworm with abnormal food habit polyphagous. Selection was continued up to the 14th generation toward higher incidence of cabbage leaves feeding variants. In the autumn of 1992(7th generation), selected strain were subjected to severe selection by feeding them on artificial diet that did not contain mulberry leaf powder. The results were clearly positive and reached to higher than 95% of cabbage feeding in the 14th generation. This strain was first discovered by feeding cabbage leaves, but later they were observed to eat some kind of plants like lettuce, Chinese cabbage, radish, beet, apple, persimmon, pear, etc. As described above the procedure, cabbage feeding trait was clearly heritable. The strain responsible for this traits was named Fb.

  • Two lepidopteran species, Matsumuraeses phaseoli (Matsumura) and Maruca vitrata (syn. M. testulalis) (Fabricius) were reared on artificial diets, and analyzed in their developmental characteristics. Photoperiod was supplied with 16L/8D for M. phaseoli and with 13L/11D for M. vitrata, respectively. Both species passed five larval instars with discrete sizes of head capsule width. In a constant environment ($25^{\circ}C$ and 65%RH), the developmental period of M. phaseoli egg, larva and pupa was 3.9, ca. 16.0 and 8.9 days, respectively, and over 80% of M. phaseoli larvae could develop into pupae, most of which emerged into adults. Newly laid eggs could be stored at $5^{\circ}C$ for 15 days with over 50% hatchability. Similar developmental traits were shown in M. vitrata. However, a low temperature preservation was not applicable to M. vitrata eggs.

  • This study aimed to provide an overview of artificial intelligence based music composition programs. The artificial intelligence-based composition program has shown remarkable growth as the development of deep neural network theory and the improvement of big data processing technology. Accordingly, artificial intelligence based composition programs for composing classical music and pop music have been proposed variously in academia and industry. But there are several limitations: devaluation in general populations, missing valuable materials, lack of relevant laws, technology-led industries exclusive to the arts, and so on. When effective measures are taken against these limitations, artificial intelligence based technology will play a significant role in fostering national competitiveness.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the expectation toward medical artificial intelligence(AI) of students in majoring health, and to utilize it as a basic data for widespread use of medical AI for 500 students majoring in health science at Cheonan city. The awareness of AI was 18.6%, the reliability of AI was 24.8%, and agreement to use of medical AI was 38%. Also, the higher the awareness and reliability of AI were, the higher the expectation of AI was. As a result, education on medical AI in the major field should be a cornerstone for the development of an effective healthcare environment utilizing medical AI by raising awareness, reliability and expectation of AI.

Studies on the Failure Rate of Artificial Insemination in Korean Native Cows (한우 암소의 인공수정 실패율에 관한 조사연구)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the influence of artificial insemination (AI) failure in 1,619 Korean native cows at Gangwon East area, Korea. The average AI failure rate was 37.02% in the cows and the highest rate was 40.85% in Yangyang-city. Based on the parity in the cows, the AI failure rate was 49.14% and 29.91% in the first and fifth parity cows, respectively. Whereas cows until fifth parity were decreased in AI failure, cows with sixth or more parity showed an upturning AI failure trends with the increasing of parity number. AI failure rate incidence according to the rump fat thickness measured by ultrasound was 28.9% and 33.4% at 5 mm to 10 mm and over than 15 mm, respectively. There was a positive correlation (0.2186) between AI failure rate of mother and that of their offspring cows. That is, offspring of dams with high AI failure rate showed also higher AI failure than those of dams having lower AI failure rate. In conclusion, these results indicate that the AI failure rate was closely related to the rump fat thickness, parity number, and conception rate of mother cows. In addition, these results might strengthen the basis to improve the reproductive performance in Korean native cows.

  • 가. 인공광원은 색온도, 연색지수, 파장대, 조도등에서 태양에 가장 근접한 메탈할라이드 등을 선정했다. 나. 광원을 공시비닐하우스에 적용키 위해 반사갓 재료 및 각도, 등 간격별로 요인시험한 결과 엠보싱처리 알루미늄 재료, 반사갓 각도 전후좌우 30$^{\circ}$, 등간격 550mm에서 가장 좋은 것으로 나타나 비닐하우스용 고추건조장치의 장조사부 설계.제작에 적용하였다. 다. 건조성능시험결과 시험구(인공광+열풍)가 대비구(열풍)에 비해 건감속도가 10.3-19.7% 향상되었고, 건조에너지도 16.1~17.1% 절감되는 것으로 나타났다. 라. 시험구 및 대비구의 색택(ASTA color) 및 당도에 대해 F-test 검증결과 5% 유의수준에서 고도의 유의차가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 ASTA color값은 차이가 컸으나 당도에서는 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로, 농가에서 사용하고 있는 하우스 열풍건조에 비해 색택 및 성분면에서 양호하기 때문에 비닐하우스 건조방식을 채택하는 농가를 대상으로 인공광조사 건조방식을 추가한다면 전천후 건조방식으로 적용이 가능할 것으로 사료되었다.

  • 최근 알파고로 인해 인공지능의 인기가 급부상하고 있고 '머신러닝'의 가능성과 위상을 널리 알려 컴퓨터 및 여러 분야에서 연구단계를 넘어 실용화, 상업화 될 가능성을 확인 시켜주었다. 본 연구는 전망 있는 인공지능산업에 발맞춰 비록 '알파고' 같은 고성능 완벽한 인공지능이 아니지만 랜덤 상태의 초기에서 한 최적의 해를 찾기 위한 도구로서, 유전알고리즘(genetic algorithms)을 사용하여 목표 값에는 최대한 수렴하도록 하는 학습형 AI 게임을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 게임은 향후 각각의 다양한 개성을 가진 양산형 인공지능 게임개발에 응용되리가 사료된다.
